Very good location. Easy to get around. Nice view, friendly staff. Too close to the elevator, a little noisy. And the bed sheets are old and not very comfortable

I recently stayed at the Canmore Inn & Suites on Bow Valley Trail. While the property itself has potential and offers a convenient base for exploring the Rockies, my experience was significantly dampened by a factor I wasn't prepared for: a major local hockey tournament. The ”Tournament” Factor I was unaware upon booking that my stay coincided with a Canmore hockey tournament for U11 and U13 divisions. To say these teams ”took over the hotel” would be an understatement. The volume of children was overwhelming. This translated to: The Pool Area: Practically unusable for other guests; it was packed to capacity with kids from morning until night. Common Areas: Hallways and the lobby were very loud and, at times, felt uncontrollable. Lack of Supervision: There was a noticeable lack of adult/parental supervision in the public spaces, leading to a chaotic atmosphere that isn't ideal if you're looking for a relaxing mountain getaway. Staff and Noise Management To the hotel’s credit, the noise did mostly settle down by 10:30 PM. I spoke with the front desk, and they mentioned we could issue formal noise complaints if needed. However, it felt like a losing battle given the sheer volume of groups. The staff are clearly used to this, as these local tournaments bring in consistent bookings for the hotel. While the team was polite, they seemed stretched thin by the high occupancy and the energy of the young athletes. The Room and Amenities Pros: The location is excellent—close to downtown and Highway 1. The rooms are generally spacious, and the mountain views from the upper floors are a highlight. Cons: The property is showing its age. Some fixtures felt dated, and the cleanliness in the high-traffic common areas suffered due to the heavy foot traffic during the tournament. Final Verdict The simpler solution here is a matter of timing. If you aren't in town to participate in or spectate a tournament, check the local sports calendar before booking. If a U11/U13 tournament is on, I would recommend staying elsewhere. If you are here for the hockey, this is clearly the ”hub,” but for the average traveler, the lack of peace and quiet makes it hard to justify the price point during these peak weekends.

La camera è ampia e pulita, le strutture sono complete e c'è anche un microonde.L'atteggiamento del personale dell'hotel è entusiasta e amichevole, le strutture dell'hotel sono tutte comode, parcheggio gratuito, vicino all'aeroporto e al centro commerciale di outlet.Tutto è al di là delle nostre aspettative, è una sorpresa. E' stato tutto bene allora, ... Anche se ho prenotato e pagato per il motel. Non mi darebbero la chiave alla seconda stanza come ho indicato il nome di mio figlio durante la prenotazione. Quindi, quando si è presentato 2 ore dopo, ho dovuto pagare un altro 100 depositi di danni. Sembrava piuttosto interessante. Ho pagato per questo attraverso travel.com, perché non hanno preso il deposito di danni proprio quando sono arrivato lì, perché ho prenotato le camere per la mia famiglia. Tutto il resto era buono.

What I Loved: The Location: You really can't beat being right on Banff Avenue. It was a quick, scenic 5-10 minute walk to the downtown core for dinner and shopping. Plus, the ski shuttle stop is just steps away, which is a massive plus in January. The Amenities: After a cold day outside, the 8-person hot tub and dry cedar sauna were highlights. They were well-maintained and exactly what I needed to thaw out. The Staff: From check-in to check-out, the service was genuinely warm. They were happy to provide local tips and made the process seamless. On-site Dining: We grabbed breakfast at El Toro Restaurant inside the hotel. The food was surprisingly good—definitely a step above your standard hotel fare—and very convenient on a chilly morning. A Few Considerations: Noise Levels: As some other travelers have noted, the walls are a bit thin. I could occasionally hear activity in the hallways and the hum of the heating system, though it didn't ruin my sleep. Parking: The underground parking is a great perk (especially to keep the snow off the car), but it is limited and quite tight. If you’re arriving late in the evening during peak season, you might have to hunt for a spot. Room Vibe: The rooms are clean and functional, but they do feel a bit ”classic.” If you are looking for ultra-modern luxury, this isn't it—but for a cozy, budget-friendly mountain base, it hits the mark. Final Verdict: A fantastic mid-range option for winter travelers. It’s clean, cozy, and perfectly situated. I’d definitely stay here again for the convenience and the hot tub alone!

La stanza è spaziosa per 4 di noi, molto pulita e moderna. L'alloggio è molto vicino al centro, ci piaceva andare ogni giorno per esplorare il centro della città. La piscina interna è sempre occupata, e la nostra posizione è molto lontana dalla piscina, quindi non abbiamo provato la piscina, ma ero abbastanza felice di avere un tubo caldo ogni notte nella nostra camera dopo le attività. La vista dalla nostra stanza è anche bella soprattutto quando neve. L'alloggio ha un spa, un salone per capelli, un negozio di sci. Ho controllato il prezzo dei guanti nel loro negozio è molto ragionevole. Il parcheggio è molto conveniente (anche se dobbiamo pagare per questo). Il colazione è buono con un prezzo ragionevole per i bambini. Alcuni staff front desk (una donna filipina e una locale) non erano amichevoli, ma la maggior parte dei staff erano carini e utili. Controlla e controlla facilmente, hanno fornito un pre-controllo via whatsapp e ci hanno sempre controllato se abbiamo bisogno di qualcosa.

Quando si accinge, si riceve assegni in carta per il rimborso al colazione (7-10 am). Ci sono pasticceria, yogurt, mele, uova, marroni di hash, ham/sassaggio e waffle domestiche. Il traffico di colazione è più efficace, e la battaglia di waffle si scioglie, la linea di waffle blocca l'accesso ai cibi e alle bevande. Il servizio di manutenzione - puliti ogni giorno i nostri bagni, ma non rinfreschivano le letti. Chiesemo il secondo giorno al divano, e il letto non era fatto fino al momento in cui siamo tornati dal lago quella sera. Controlla - il nostro controllo era buono, ma ci è stato detto che non possiamo usare la piscina dopo il checkout alle 11. Dovevo tornare più tardi quella sera per prendere un oggetto che ho dimenticato nella stanza (che mi hanno inviato gratitudine) e Emily era lì, che era una nota positiva alla nostra partenza.
