Always stay at the Ramada Hotel, before flying up to work. Room rates are usually well under $100.00 all in and free shuttle to and from Airport. Food at Restaurant is very tasty and updates are improving..Shower temps and faucets in tub could be improved but still work..Would also be nice to have extra late checkout for returning regular guests. Would reccomend to anyone!

The location is accessible to different public transport which is convenient for solo travellers. Also, it is in the middle of downtown area where restaurants and major establishments are located. Overall, chateau Lacombe is a good hotel to stay if you are planning to go in Edmonton.

Il primo agente del desktop, Mainuddin, mi ha lasciato in arresto per più di 30 minuti quando mi ha chiesto di entrare in check-in precoce; solo per dire no. La cosa strana è che ha dimenticato che ero in arresto. Spero che la gestione debba prendere tempo per allenarli. Era anche lui che mi ha aiutato durante la mia ultima permanenza, che era proprio così cattiva. Non è fornito colazione, ma Cora è vicino. La prossima volta mi prenoterò altrove, dove non sarò sconvolto o avrò sprecato il mio tempo. Ho anche ricordato al desk front multiple volte che avevo bisogno di un frigo e una microonde nella mia stanza.

The staff was super friendly and very helpful. I called down for extra bath towels and they were delivered within minutes. The hot tub was out of service during our stay but those things happen and can’t always be controlled by the hotel. The kids absolutely loved the slide and spending time in the pool. Only complaint I’d have there is that the pool towels were super small, we just doubled up and made it work. Not really a big issues. Breakfast was also included in our reservation and it was great. Good variety and included bacon/sausage and eggs. The space for breakfast was nice and open and lots of seating. I would definitely stay here again.

An amazing stay at this hotel!! It met our needs completely. We came in for a 2 day conference from Vancouver, BC & couldn’t have been happier with choosing the Best Western Cedar Place Hotel for our stay. The location was great. The staff were exceptional, humble, kind & receptive to our many requests that came up circumstantially. I haven’t experienced this level of client service in the hospitality industry for a very long time. Every single staff member we came across over the phone & in person was exceptional & overall our stay was an amazing experience! Thankyou again.

Era un buon posto, ma alcuni membri del personale non erano amichevoli, soprattutto il desk front.Sono bravi a risolvere i problemi come dare soluzioni a alcuni problemi che ho incontrato. Spero che il colazione sia fino a 11 ma perché il calendario attuale è 6:30-9:30.Lo consiglio, il mio tasso è 7/10.

Pillows lumpy and it affected my sleep

Carts for luggage disappeared and staff didn’t seem to care, got attitude when I asked if the coukdcfind them as I had 2 - 50 lb bags plus carry on

UUtente anonimoI recently stayed at the Canmore Inn & Suites on Bow Valley Trail. While the property itself has potential and offers a convenient base for exploring the Rockies, my experience was significantly dampened by a factor I wasn't prepared for: a major local hockey tournament.
The ”Tournament” Factor
I was unaware upon booking that my stay coincided with a Canmore hockey tournament for U11 and U13 divisions. To say these teams ”took over the hotel” would be an understatement. The volume of children was overwhelming. This translated to:
The Pool Area: Practically unusable for other guests; it was packed to capacity with kids from morning until night.
Common Areas: Hallways and the lobby were very loud and, at times, felt uncontrollable.
Lack of Supervision: There was a noticeable lack of adult/parental supervision in the public spaces, leading to a chaotic atmosphere that isn't ideal if you're looking for a relaxing mountain getaway.
Staff and Noise Management
To the hotel’s credit, the noise did mostly settle down by 10:30 PM. I spoke with the front desk, and they mentioned we could issue formal noise complaints if needed. However, it felt like a losing battle given the sheer volume of groups.
The staff are clearly used to this, as these local tournaments bring in consistent bookings for the hotel. While the team was polite, they seemed stretched thin by the high occupancy and the energy of the young athletes.
The Room and Amenities
Pros: The location is excellent—close to downtown and Highway 1. The rooms are generally spacious, and the mountain views from the upper floors are a highlight.
Cons: The property is showing its age. Some fixtures felt dated, and the cleanliness in the high-traffic common areas suffered due to the heavy foot traffic during the tournament.
Final Verdict
The simpler solution here is a matter of timing. If you aren't in town to participate in or spectate a tournament, check the local sports calendar before booking. If a U11/U13 tournament is on, I would recommend staying elsewhere. If you are here for the hockey, this is clearly the ”hub,” but for the average traveler, the lack of peace and quiet makes it hard to justify the price point during these peak weekends.

UUtente ospiteIl dipartimento frontale era molto accogliente e accessibile. Sono stati organizzati perché ci sono elenchi di ciò che possiamo fare e come possiamo andare lì. Inoltre c'è una navetta gratuita che potremmo usare, così l'accesso al trasporto pubblico non è stato un problema. Tuttavia, quando siamo andati in camera dell'hotel c'era qualche rottame lasciato nel rottame. Non è un problema molto, ma riflette in qualche modo sul loro sistema di custodia. In generale, era pulito. Un'altra preoccupazione è stata che ci hanno detto che riceveremo il deposito di sicurezza dopo 5-10 giorni ma non siamo riusciti a ottenere. Cercherò di contattarli su di esso, ma ci hanno detto prima che lasciassimo che era già stato trattato (questa era il 18 dicembre) e finora (26 dicembre) stiamo ancora aspettando.

Furthermore the owners have made great improvement in the recent renovation. Good location but poor management (that’s why I have given it a low experience rating)
Hotel bar has been closed for a while but not advertised when booking! This is a ski resort and we traveled as a large group (4 rooms) with mixed age group inc teens and kids so a hotel bar is critical for us!
The fact that the main bar was closed and no apré ski drinks in the bar should have been advertised. Frankly I’m on holiday and without an operational / open bar I would have booked elsewhere!
I was only informed via email after the free cancellation period was up which meant I loose money if I cancel and more so will be challenged to find elsewhere!
I only found out after a email from hotel a few weeks before checking! When I challenged management via email, I was informed the bar area was moved to the restaurant, I said this is not acceptable and bar closure should have been advertised on booking … was told the above, and a sorry and subsequently ignored thereafter !
Not ideal as the restaurant is not a bar - more so it was pretty weird having drinks upstairs and more so when a few folk start to come up for dinner or the restaurant starts to set up for dinner buffet.
Management did offer some of my party a credit, but not me and just ignored my concern.Shame really!
I don’t want to take the good positive vide away from the hotel so would like to big up

2) house keeping - great job
3) restaurant staff - friendly and smiley (even though difficult trying to manage a so called bar and restaurant) in the same place

UUtente ospiteI'm not the one that leaves bad reviews but I have to do this . This isn't your typical holiday inn you're used to . Far from it . Stains on blinds, not the typical spacious room I'm used to . The heating system made constant dragging noise at intervals all night . We couldn't sleep . Not what I was expecting . Then I called to see if there was an option to get the room upgraded , the lady that picked up was too eager to shut me off . There was no professionalism . Microwave was making creaking noise and the tv wasn't working when I checked in though that was fixed promptly when I called them in .
I'll give them a 5/10. I've been to other Holiday Inns in Edmonton, and they are top class with very decent people at the front desk . This is just one old hotel trying to live up to the franchise name. Not close !!!!!

UUtente ospiteIt was a pleasant stay I would say. Clean and cozy. Home-like atmosphere. The only thing I want to mention is that when we arrived at 4:30pm no one was there, no reception, no instructional signs… until 10 mins later, there was somebody coming out from a storage, she was very helpful and got us in the room instantly. One suggestion is that it’d be great to prepare 1 or 2 extra blankets for a group of more than 2.
