Hotel a 3 stelle in Grand Est, Francia

La posizione dell'hotel è strategica: cercavo un hotel vicino alla stazione ferroviaria, dato che non volevo trascinare le mie due valigie pesanti oltre quel punto, e per questo avevo un treno successivo da prendere verso mezzogiorno. La camera e il bagno non erano grandi, ma erano sufficienti. A parte questo, non c'erano molti altri servizi da menzionare. Il personale della reception avrebbe potuto mostrarsi più cordiale, il che avrebbe reso l'esperienza di soggiorno più piacevole. Non capisco perché ci fosse bisogno di suonare il campanello ogni volta che entravo in hotel, in modo che il personale alla reception potesse aprire la porta. Degno di nota è il prezzo della colazione, più alto del previsto. Pane, caffè, formaggio, cereali, frutta ecc. erano tutti forniti e avevano un sapore delizioso. Per il prezzo, penso che il rapporto qualità-prezzo sia ottimo.

La stanza è grande, e le attrezzature da cucina sono state completamente fornite.

The location is the main catch - 7 mins drive to the airport and 1 min walk to the France/Swiss border. Bus stop is right in front of the property and the tram stop is just 4 mins away.The apartment is ok, just basic. The property is a bit old but well maintained but can use some renovations especially the carpet. I perceived a funny smell as I stepped into the room (I think it's from the carpet). The service is fantastic, the staff attends to you with smiles always. There's a private swimming pool . There's a kitchenette in the room with some essentials(fridge, kettle , pots, plates, microwave, cutlery , induction and co)though I didn't get to use them. The room is spacious but the shower room is small.The cleaning can be done better - found some hair strands on the floor, dust/stains on the chair and the barrier at the back door/balcony. I like that the main door is always locked and you are given a code to unlock it from outside, feels safe. There's someone at the front desk 24 Hours. There is a restaurant directly opposite the property, I had dinner there on my first night, not bad and the price is reasonable. More cafes, shops and restaurants down the street about 3/4 minutes walk. The Lady at the front desk assisted me to order a taxi to the airport. New hand towel and sponge in the kitchenette Overall, not bad and it's reasonably priced.

A circa 15-20 minuti a piedi dal centro città, camere pulite e spaziose, aria condizionata funzionante, doccia fantastica, microonde/angolo cottura non utilizzati ma disponibili, camere funzionali ma senza anima. L'ascensore non funziona, il parcheggio apparentemente non è più disponibile, il parcheggio in strada è possibile, ma per un massimo di 3 ore al costo di 35 €, molto rumoroso nella hall e nella sala colazione.

The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. She let us check in early andalso gave us suggestions to explore the town. Room was clean and comfortable, just nice for the two of us.

The hotel is well located, with less than 10 minutes walking distance to Petite France, train station and Carrefour. Very comfortable and quiet at night provided us a very good sleep. We like the small kitchen with all necessary utensils are provided. We can purchase some grocery from nearby Carrefour and cook dinner for ourselves. Strasbourg is a very lovely and beautiful city.

Our visit to Champagne Domaine Sacret was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Champagne. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt warm, authentic, and incredibly well thought out. This is a family-owned B&B. The setting in Aÿ is stunning—peaceful, scenic, and surrounded by beautiful vineyards that perfectly capture the charm of the Champagne region. The hospitality was exceptional; the hosts were welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do, complimentary champagne tasting every evening at 6 pm is cherry on the cake. The champagne itself was outstanding—refined, elegant, and memorable. Each tasting came with insightful explanations, making the experience both enjoyable and educational. You can really feel the craftsmanship and heritage behind every bottle. What stood out the most was how personal and genuine the entire visit felt. It wasn’t just a tasting—it was an immersive experience into the world of champagne making. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the region. Whether you’re a champagne enthusiast or just looking for a unique and relaxing experience, this is a must-visit.
