Colazione non fresca . yaourth tede.
Non c'è salato per colazione domenica mattina.
Non c'è igiene per il pane, tutti lo toccano per poterlo tagliare.
Camera letto orientale faccia a faccia la finestra con balcone attraversando. Tutti godono delle viste sulla camera.
Nessuna aria condizionata, era molto caldo ma impossibile aprire la finestra il mondo passa sul balcone.
Purtroppo il quadro verde esterno è bello.

Ci siamo fermati per una notte in questa struttura, che abbiamo trovato molto accogliente. Personale gentile, posizione veramente centrale, comoda anche da raggiungere con la macchina (abbiamo parcheggiato nel parcheggio a pagamento indicato da loro, per una notte abbiamo speso €9,20, un costo onesto).
C'è anche la possibilità di utilizzare la sauna a €9 aggiuntivi a testa, ma purtroppo non siamo riusciti in quanto siamo arrivati troppo tardi.
Ci siamo trovati molto bene!

Everything is what you can expect if you pay 80 euro's per night. Location is actually near perfect, just a small walk to the center. You can park at the hotel too.
However, it's was 30 degrees outside when we slept there. It was a sauna inside the room, really bad.

Bella camera, la nostra stanza era tranquilla come si trovava davanti al giardino. Il sacchetto di dolci come le attrezzature era un bel toccamento! Molto facile parcheggiare la macchina vicino a & passeggiata dal centro della città e case di champagne. Buono valore per soldi a Reims!

Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Läget bra, när city och flera restauranger. Rummen mycket fina och rymliga. Frukosten helt OK. Det enda vi inte var nöjda med var att all äggröra var helt slut redan kl 08.00 när vi skulle äta frukost. När vi frågade efter mer sa frukostpersonalen att det var slut och mer skulle inte komma.

Place is good location and convenient bc it has microwave and fridge. The shower / tub was weird bc the shower door was only halfway. The location was good bc it was next to many restaurants, a grocery store, and train station around 7 minute walk. I was there Saturday and Sunday and sadly most stores were closed on Sunday. I like the layout studio, but maintenance is poor bc the bathroom mirror was broken in some places, holes on the wall in the bathroom, mold near microwave. It’s clean but just keep those in mind. The receptionist I talked to Mario and the other guy didn’t get his name, but thankfully they both spoke English and were friendly to help.

Hotel room was clean and with all required amenities. Reception is not open 24 hrs but we were given instructions on where to find the key card and everything was fine.
Free parking outside the hotel. No coffee making facilities in the room but there were machines available in the breakfast room - at a charge.

Otel çok merkezi bir konumdaydı, oda çok temizdi, tren istasyonuna ve merkeze çok yakındı, odada buzdolabı yoktu, internet sayfalarında da yoktu, çok sakindi ve sessiz olduğu için güzel dinlendik, sade ve temiz bir odaydı. Personel yardımseverdi, odaya giriş saat 15:00 olmasına rağmen otele geldiğimizde yorgunluktan migrenim tutmuştu ve saat 14:00 te odaya geçtik, ayrıca bunun için teşekkür ederim.

Lovely hotel on main road, easy to walk into the centre. Disappointed no amenities in room, not even a kettle or cups. Older decor, but clean. No bath. Reception staff lovely.

I stayed at Le Grand Hôtel Strasbourg from October 5–6, 2025 (Room 317). What happened that night was unacceptable for any hotel, let alone a three-star one.
At around 2:00 a.m., I was abruptly awakened by loud knocking. The man outside refused to identify himself, only saying, “You called for something; I’m bringing it to you”. I hadn’t requested anything. He refused to give his name, and I couldn’t confirm who he was with no peephole. He then asked, “Are you a Chinese man in Room 317?” I am a Chinese woman travelling alone. When I said no, he replied, “Oh, maybe you exchanged rooms, or maybe someone made a joke” and left.
I tried to call reception using the bedside phone, but it was broken. I then used my mobile to call the number on Google Maps; the same man answered, confirming only then that he was a hotel employee. He said a “Chinese man” had called asking for help, said he was in 317, and asked the receptionist to come because he had disabilities. Instead of verifying this request (which in the end turned to be from a guest in ibis hotel), receptionist simply checked the hotel system, read my full name aloud, assumed it was correct because it “looked Chinese”, and came knocking at 2 am.
When I asked whether he confirmed the caller’s name, he said, “We don’t usually ask the names of our guests”. He also refused to tell me his own name. Only the next morning did the manager say his name was “Francis”. When I asked for his surname, she replied, “That’s the name he goes by here”.
This entire event shows serious failures in safety, professionalism, and privacy:
-No night security protocol; staff knock on guests’ doors at 2 a.m. without verification.
-Broken in-room phone and no peephole reflect clear safety risks.
-The employee failed to confirm the caller’s identity.
-He accessed and disclosed my full name aloud, a privacy violation.
-His assumption that a Chinese name equals a Chinese man reveals racial and gender discrimination.
-He tried to distribute the responsibility to me, someone woken up BY him, instead of apologizing.
GOOD NEWS: The manager’s vague answer about his identity shows the hotel's good protection of personal privacy. It's just the privacy had nothing to do with its guests.
Because of this, I spent the night feeling unsafe and could not sleep until 4 a.m. I have neurasthenia, and being awakened like this caused serious distress. The next morning, the reception manager admitted that proper protocol requires checking a guest’s name before approaching their room — meaning this employee ignored standard procedure entirely. She kept repeating, “this is the first time this has ever happened to us”. This statement once again showed the amazing corporate culture of this hotel: distributing their responsibility onto innocent guest. She tried to make the incident seem as an isolated case rather than a systemic issue. But if their training were truly professionally standardised, such a mistake could never have happened.
The whole thing WAS a systemic problem: poor staff training, lack of supervision, and disregard for privacy and guest safety. The hotel was unable to distinguish between internal and external calls, meaning they can’t verify where a call comes from. If the man at my door had not been an employee, I would have had no way to protect myself.
Guests deserve safety, transparency, and respect — not fear, negligence, and discrimination. Until this hotel takes responsibility and implements real safety measures, there will still be danger of another guest being disturbed at 2 am, there will still be invasion of privacy by its staff, and there will still be chances of wasting your money only to get no rest over night and mental distress.

EExploreWithMoThe location is the main catch - 7 mins drive to the airport and 1 min walk to the France/Swiss border. Bus stop is right in front of the property and the tram stop is just 4 mins away.The apartment is ok, just basic. The property is a bit old but well maintained but can use some renovations especially the carpet. I perceived a funny smell as I stepped into the room (I think it's from the carpet). The service is fantastic, the staff attends to you with smiles always. There's a private swimming pool . There's a kitchenette in the room with some essentials(fridge, kettle , pots, plates, microwave, cutlery , induction and co)though I didn't get to use them. The room is spacious but the shower room is small.The cleaning can be done better - found some hair strands on the floor, dust/stains on the chair and the barrier at the back door/balcony. I like that the main door is always locked and you are given a code to unlock it from outside, feels safe. There's someone at the front desk 24 Hours. There is a restaurant directly opposite the property, I had dinner there on my first night, not bad and the price is reasonable. More cafes, shops and restaurants down the street about 3/4 minutes walk. The Lady at the front desk assisted me to order a taxi to the airport. New hand towel and sponge in the kitchenette Overall, not bad and it's reasonably priced.

HHII HION TUNGThe hotel is well located, with less than 10 minutes walking distance to Petite France, train station and Carrefour. Very comfortable and quiet at night provided us a very good sleep. We like the small kitchen with all necessary utensils are provided. We can purchase some grocery from nearby Carrefour and cook dinner for ourselves. Strasbourg is a very lovely and beautiful city.

Solo le camere non isolate, quindi tutto dipende dal vostro vicino, per noi era bene.
E abbiamo avuto il problema dell'allarme.
Ma in generale è impeccabile tornare un'altra volta.

AAsmae Himouchemolto soddisfatto del mio soggiorno, siamo arrivati intorno alle 20:00, il servizio check-in era chiuso ma abbiamo comunque trovato personale che ci ha aiutato e ci ha mostrato la nostra camera. anche se non c'era nessuno alla reception seguivamo le istruzioni inviate via email per gli arrivi tardivi come il nostro. il personale è cordiale e gentile e la camera è pulita con vista sulla strada e sul tram che passa proprio accanto al residence. Consiglio vivamente questo stabilimento.

WWilson MC LimHo trascorso un soggiorno fantastico all'Hôtel Couvent du Franciscain Centre Ville! L'hotel si trova proprio nel cuore della città, il che lo rende incredibilmente comodo per esplorare le attrazioni locali. La camera era pulita, accogliente e ben attrezzata, offrendo un rifugio confortevole dopo una giornata di visite turistiche.
Una delle caratteristiche distintive di questo hotel è l'eccellente servizio di deposito bagagli. Ci hanno permesso di depositare i nostri bagagli in sicurezza sia prima del check-in che dopo il check-out, il che ha reso il nostro viaggio molto più comodo. Ci ha dato la libertà di esplorare la città senza preoccuparci di portare in giro i bagagli.
Il personale è stato cordiale e disponibile, sempre pronto ad assisterci con un sorriso. Un altro punto forte è stata la deliziosa colazione, fresca, varia e a un prezzo ragionevole: un ottimo inizio di giornata.
Nel complesso, l'Hôtel Couvent du Franciscain Centre Ville offre un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo, un servizio eccellente e una posizione privilegiata. Lo consiglio vivamente a chiunque visiti la zona e ci tornerei sicuramente!

UUtente anonimoQuesta è una locanda molto spaziosa, pulita e ben gestita. C'è un grande tavolo da pranzo e le prese elettriche sono ben disposte. Ho potuto anche lavorare al computer durante il tempo libero. L'impianto idraulico era immacolato e sono stato felice di vedere che la cucina aveva un nuovo set di spugne, detersivi e altri kit. Sono stati forniti asciugamani viso e teli bagno per 2 persone per 2 notti, oltre ad un set di lenzuola sostitutive. Lo scaldasalviette nel bagno era potente e aiutava ad asciugare il bucato leggero in meno di un'ora. Pantaloni e magliette saranno asciutti il giorno successivo. Non è lontano dal centro di Colmar, a soli 15 minuti a piedi, e il tempo passa in un batter d'occhio mentre ci godiamo il panorama. Il personale femminile della reception parlava un inglese molto chiaro ed era molto gentile ed era felice di aiutare con cose come la stampa dei biglietti. Nel complesso, è un'ottima locanda e la consiglio vivamente a tutti gli altri giapponesi!
