Like the previous poster, this was a splurge for us and part of a once in a lifetime trip to Patagonia. Yes, it was expensive but I don’t understand complaints about that. You know how much it is when you book, so why complain? Just don’t book. Anyway, my only complaint was that we had such a short stay. I wish I could go back and book for more time. From my first email asking for details/costs about the hotel and excursions before we even decided to make this trip, Barbara took care of sending all the information we could possibly need and helped us make decisions all through the booking and after. We arrived right after a large group, but the concierge made sure we were comfortably seated, explaining everything and answering any questions and booking us for dinner so that by the short time that took was over, it was our turn to check in - very Disney-esq.. We went off season and I was hoping we hadn’t made a mistake but it ended up being the perfect time - very few people during meal times and excursions and we had perfect weather! We opted for the small difference in price to get a more expensive room with a view of the mountains. The price difference really was minimal at the time so I would do it again. But, we spent very little time in the room and that same view is possible everywhere in the common areas of the hotel and of course outside and it is absolutely gorgeous. The last morning we were there, we decided to forgo an excursion and sat by the beautiful pool overlooking the mountains and just chilling. We just had to spend some time soaking it all in. We opted for the all-inclusive and it was totally worth it. It included unlimited meals, cocktails and wine. Dinner was amazing, casual but classy. We always got the time we wanted and always a table by the window. We enjoyed every meal and every drink and the service was always with a smile. For lunch we opted to eat in the bar area, sitting on the sofas and soaking up the view. People have complained about breakfast, but we found it to be more than adequate with a large variety. I think most people don’t linger over breakfast anyway as excursions/hikes start early. It was definitely ample to get us fueled up for the day. We did three excursions in the 2.5 days we were there. I had pre-booked them. I found the prices to be very fair, and it was so convenient having the guide just meeting us in the lobby. On the first one we were the only two. The other ones had 5 or 6 people total. The tour guides were fantastic, especially the older gentleman whose name unfortunately eludes me. Thank you for the great pictures and the conversation. All three excursions/hikes were amazing! The park is beyond words stunning! We have some phenomenal pictures/memories. They even provided a little bag with water and snacks. So thoughtful! We are seniors who have traveled extensively but the memories of this hotel/park are definitely at the top of our list of favorites. It’s

A nice and 'classical' style property, located about 5 minutes from the city square. Nice big rooms, good hearty breakfast buffet and a team of wonderful people who made my stay comfortable with great experience. Just a small suggestion to also keep a drinking water station on all floors (not just the ground).

We just completed a 4 night stay at this hotel. I made the reservation for our Junior Suite room back in July 2024 and booked directly on the hotel's website, expecting to at least get what I paid for. I don't even know where to start. Cons: All the negative reviews by other travelers are accurate. There is loud drilling and banging noise all day, from the construction they are doing. Room mix up - At check in, we were told since it was only 1 pm we would have to return in an hour as the room was not ready. Fair enough. When we returned, the reception gals said we could pick between two rooms on the 4th floor and gave us keys to check out the rooms. After checking out both rooms, we told them our decision. At that time they asked for our names again, and said that they had made a mistake! Our room was actually on the 2nd floor, and at the end of the narrow hall. The view from our room was obstructed and the noise from the construction was right next to our room. I requested a change in room but was told that they were all sold out. No kettle in the room for coffee (first hotel in all our travels in Chile to not provide that) Paint splatter on the floor in our room No water bottles. We asked and were given one refillable glass bottle. No safe deposit box in the room No tissues Only one hand towel provided in the bathroom. I asked for another one and hot the one in the picture - dirty brown spots. No bath mat. Mirror in the bathroom on the side of the wall making in totally useless, but a window in front of the sink overlooking the beds! Lots of truck, vehicular noise at night from road in front. No glasses/tumblers in the bathroom No body lotion Room cleaning- one day our room wasn't cleaned when we got back from our tour at 5pm. Front desk told us their maid had a picture from 6:30 am with a Do Not Disturb sign on our door. Sure we had it - from 6:30 -7 am. We took it off at 7 when we got back from breakfast. So they only checked once at 6:30 am and that's it. On our request, however, they did someone to clean our room that evening. Restaurant server charged for water bottle which we had with brought down with us from our room. They were charging by looking at us rather than on what they served us. Then ask us if want to add a tip! Which we did - ridiculous! The front desk staff never, ever greeted us when we walked into the hotel or walked past them in the morning. I had to use Google translate with them almost all the time. Their English was very limited. The only staff that gave us any attention was the gentleman server in the restaurant. He was great! Laundry order- got our room number wrong even though we had written it on our order form. They said they sent the laundry to another room and it got rejected, so they were waiting for us to call! Pro Great location and views. Easy walk to restaurants and main shopping. The hotel seems to be capitalizing on their view. Nothing more to offer. No hospitality or personal attention.

The Singular Patagonia Hotel

I would have given 3.5 stars but that's unavailable. Starting with the good: The hotel property is beautiful and unusual. Very historic and the architects made great use of the existing buildings. The excursions were great - albeit very weather dependent and , because they would not let us book anything until we got there, we missed the very one activity we wanted to do because of weather on the days after we got there. (Had they let us book in advance, we could have arranged to arrive on time on our first day). Instead, they charge you for a full day at the all-inclusive price and then leave you to find something to do in town. The guides were delightful, interesting and friendly - consistent with all our other guides elsewhere in Chile. And we loved the excursions we did (particularly the Baguales hike). The negatives: They knew we were arriving at 9:30 am yet failed to take that into consideration in terms of arranging the cleaning of our room and making it available. We saw no one else check in that early or for the next few hours - yet they stuck to a 3 pm check-in (they let us in at 2:50 pm). (We know they knew because our travel agent told them in a three way email and I also emailed about an effort to book an excursion for that morning). Thus, we were on our own with no morning activity that we paid for. The food is mediocre and the same menu all week. The service in the restaurant is also mediocre. One evening my husband and I arrived in the restaurant and ordered cocktails before dinner. After 20 minutes of not being served, I went to the bar and noticed that there were no bartenders. We asked the server and she simply had no idea. The same thing happened with a coffee order the first morning we arrived (sans room). As mentioned in another review of mine, one of the hotels we stayed at packed us a boxed lunch when we left for a midday flight. Not only does the Singular not do that but after we checked out - our flight was delayed 4 1/2 hours. so we took a taxi back to the Singular and asked to store our luggage while we had lunch. The front desk and the restaurant host each told us we could eat there on our dime - even though we just checked out after paying a high all-inclusive rate for three days. That might be reasonable - but it is not 5-star service, particularly given the price.

We booked the Remota as a good resting space before and after our 5 day visit to Torres del Paine, in total we stayed there for 5 nights, our friend stayed for 11 days. The hotel is beautiful and the common areas spacious. Looks alone, this hotel is 4-5 stars. Service falls very short for the price of the rooms and the ambiance the hotel gives off. We prepaid for 2 rooms, with a 3rd room being paid for by a friend. Some people in our party were late in arriving because of flight delays and arrived around 10 AM the day after our stay began. I confirmed the night previously that their rooms were all set and prepaid, hoping to make sure they could check in easily and relax after the long journey. When they arrived the front desk staff told them their rooms weren’t ready and that they would have to wait until the afternoon check in time. Not a huge deal but a strange reaction by hotel staff after a guest experiences flight delays. The restaurant and bar staff were great - friendly, accommodating and talkative. While most of us went on a 5 day hike, one of our party stayed behind. He got food poisoning from the restaurant and was sick in his room for two days. After we returned he told us that he tried to call the front desk and ask for a soda to try and calm his stomach. They advised him they don’t provide room service. Even after explaining that he was alone and got sick from the restaurant, they refused to bring him a drink and insisted they did not offer room service. Another example of the extremely lackluster service provided by the front desk. We were staying one extra day from the rest of our party but they had us listed as checking out on the same day. After explaining that we needed the extra day we were told the hotel was booked. This place is pretty big and we know a lot of people take day trips but it was never full. You see all of the room keys they have available behind the desk. We were unable to extend the stay directly with the front desk, we needed to wait until the office in Santiago opened for the day. We gathered up all of our gear and stored it in the check in area while we waited to see if a room was available. The front desk staff didn’t seem concerned or willing to remedy the situation. After 2 hours we (us, not the staff)were able to confirm there was a room available and the front desk told us it would be ready soon. We sat. And we waited. And waited some more. After another hour and a half we asked if the room was ready, which took the worker by surprise and he said our room had been ready. We were sitting 10 feet away from him the entire time. We paid just under $300 for every night of our stay and were charged nearly $400 for the additional night. Okay that’s a lot of rambling. The customer experience is poor for the price point of this hotel and it tries so hard to be something it’s not. It’s about a 25 minute walk to town and you can never schedule a shuttle with them. Ever. No time for airport pick ups, drop offs or
