Ethan Allen Hotel, Danbury, CT
We recently stayed at the Ethan Allen Hotel and had a generally pleasant experience. When we walked into the lobby, we were impressed by how welcoming and well-maintained it was. There was a convenient self-serve coffee and tea station with water and all the necessary condiments, which was a nice touch.
Check-in was quick and easy. We were given a room on the first floor. Upon entering, we found the room to be very clean and spacious. Although we didn’t unpack, there was ample space for clothing and storage. A desk and chair were available, which would be useful for anyone needing to get work done. The room also included a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker with pods, teabags, and all the condiments, very convenient. The TV was a good size and worked well.
That said, the room itself is definitely in need of some upgrades. The sheers were broken and hanging off the hooks, and the privacy curtains were difficult to close. Both the curtains and sheers appeared worn and could use a good cleaning. The ceiling panels were noticeably yellowed, and while the bathroom was clean, it too showed signs of age. On a positive note, the towels were plentiful and of nice quality, and I appreciated the makeup mirror in the bathroom.
The bed was very clean and comfortable.
In summary, this hotel has many good qualities, especially in terms of cleanliness, comfort, and service. However, I would love to see the guest rooms updated to better match the inviting look and feel of the lobby. I would consider staying here again, especially if room renovations were made.

La stanza è molto ampia, molto pulita, il letto è molto comodo e la varietà di colazione è anche molto ricco. Il manager dell'uomo della reception è entusiasta di dirvi come bere acqua calda, il parcheggio è conveniente, c'è una stazione petrolifera. L'unico che non ha la bellezza è avere una macchina da caffè nella stanza, nessuna serratura di acqua calda, Si raccomanda di dotare il serbatoio di acqua calda.

JJaunting Around TownMe and my wife did an overnight at the Circle Hotel Fairfield while attending a local event.
The service people at the front desk were very nice and helpful, and there was someone staffing it overnight. They were also training new staff while we were there, but there was always someone experienced there to ensure good service.
We had a dual-queen sized room as it was what fit our budget with the Trip.com discounts.
We stayed in building 2 which is a very short walk from the main building.
The room was spacious, basic but nicely enough decorated, and nicely clean-enough, though the toilet seat had been through some things and maintenance should have replaced it, but it wasn't broken. I let the front desk know and they said they'd have it addressed.
The room had basic amenities (2 free bottles of water was nice), coffee maker, Ironing board iiron, soap, shampoo/conditioner/bodywash, tissue box, etc. A closet with a few hangers It could have used more hangers and it would have been nice to have a suitcase stand.
No dresser/drawers, and no phone.
There was a serviceable mini-fridge.
We didn't use the TV so I can't comment on it.
There wasn't a book with local businesses listed or deals for them, etc.
The front desk area has a little shop you can buy overpriced neccesities and drinks.
There's a pool out back that looks nice.
There's also a nice lounge area inside and chairs/tables to relax outside out back.
There was a decent breakfast layout, but it's mostly a variety of bread stuffs/carbs - not diabetic or keto friendly. They did have hard boiled eggs, fruit, and hot cereal packets so there are meager non-carb options. There was also cereals, sugar-sweetend yogurts, and a variety of drinks including coffee and juices. The make-it-yourself waffles were a nice touch. I would have liked bacon or sausage, but overall for the room rate it was a nice breakfast layout.
We'd ordered food at night from Seamless and got a delivery to our room door with no problem. Note: Restaurants close early in the area, but there's a nearby 24hr McDonalds that's drive-through and order-only after 10pm.
There's also a decent diner open right next to the hotel during the day. And shopping center across the road.
If you don't feel like driving, the local main street bus stops right in front of the hotel on either side of the street going in both directions. Great if you're checking out the local brewery, which also has good food and was an A+ experience.
Just make sure you have quarters for the bus. $1.75 per person gives you a 2-hour ”unlimited” pass to use the local busses in either direction.
Overall, we liked our stay and would stay again in the future if the price is right. Compared to our experiences with similar hotels, under $140 was just right for our room as they had minimal business and it was nicely quiet. If they were busier, I'd expect $100 to $120 deal, and very busy, maybe less..

UUtente ospiteQuesto hotel ha un grande lobby aperto con un bar e molte aree per usare laptop o raccogliere in piccoli gruppi.
Il parcheggio convenzionale in una garage era situato sotto l'hotel. L'ascensore era estremamente efficiente. Eravamo al 8° piano e non ci aspettavamo mai. Il personale dell'hotel è difficile da raggiungere per telefono, ma quando siamo arrivati ci lasciano andare in camera un po' presto. I letti sono molto confortevoli e molto alti! La TV remota è strano e abbiamo dovuto chiamare per scoprire come usarlo. Il caffè è arrivato tardi, l'hotel è molto vicino a I-95 che è stato utile.

UUtente ospiteIl prezzo è grande! Sono completamente attrezzati e cortesia. Hanno una piscina e la lobby è molto pulita. Tuttavia, in tutta onestà, ci deve essere un giorno di pulizia profonda. Spiderweb e pareti polverose e caso scala. Cortina di finestra inchiodata e letti da letto. I venti del bagno hanno rivelato un'altra stanza che si argomentava molto chiaramente. E le tovalette di colore che non mi piacevano! Fortunatamente ho tenuto con me vestiti e tovaglie. E anche le mutandine e i bianchetti per gettarli sopra. Oh e io davvero non mi piaceva l'offerta di ”caldo” colazione attraverso. Solo una cosa calda è un produttore di waffle per tutto l'hotel. Nessun uova. Solo proteina era proteine bar di burro di arachidi & che non è buona proteina e alcuni ppl allergico alle noci. Nessuna opzione gratuita per il latte se ricordo per il grano. E solo il succo arancione non altre alternative. Solo molto basilare ma in generale darei 3 1/2 stelle bc potrebbe essere peggio. Mi preoccupano più la pulizia delle lastre e degli asciugamani in ogni parte del lobby.

UUtente ospiteL'hotel era in una posizione molto grande, ma era molta e le strutture erano mancanti dalla stanza, le batterie erano morte nel termostato, la mia prima stanza era profumata come sigarette e il tappeto era grasso. Quando ho parlato della situazione della mia stanza, mi hanno trasferito in un'altra stanza, così è stato bello. La parte più frustrante di questo hotel è il fatto che i miei familiari e io abbiamo chiesto settimane di anticipo se potessimo prenotare le camere sullo stesso piano nello stesso area generale. L'hotel ha accettato, ma una volta arrivato ci hanno messo su tutti i piani, al contrario dell'hotel e tutto. Mia madre e i miei cugini ci incontrammo nella camera doppia della zia, per poter stare insieme tutti, ma una stanza vicina ha fatto una denuncia di rumore, e non avrebbero mai dovuto lamentarsi se l’hotel avesse prenotato tutte le nostre camere insieme come avevamo chiesto.

UUtente ospiteThis hotel is in immediate need of reinvestment. It was built in the 50's and it looks like in the rooms that was the last time any money was spent. You have a small in the window air conditioner unit. The two night stand lights did not work. The safe did not work. The hair dryer did not work but the front desk provided a new one. The bathroom sink was stained or dirty. To flush the toilet you have to stand there and hold the flipper down until the toilet completes flushing. The ironing board had been bent at some time in its history so it sloped down went set up. There was no elevator so you carry your belongings up an old metal outside staircase to the second floor.
This hotel is in an excellent location and the exterior looks wonderful. But I would recommend that you stay elesewhere.
