Regno Unito: hotel con piscina nella provincia di Newry, Mourne and Down

Slieve Donard has lost its sparkle. We have been coming here for over 10 years plus this time was for my birthday. We had not been since the refurbishment, Sadly it has lost is wow factor coming through the door it’s now very dark and not welcoming. We apparently got an upgrade to a junior spa suite personally this was the smallest room we had stayed in over the years. Had previously stayed in Executive double rooms which was more spacious! The junior spa room was very dark with fake bedside drawers, paintwork had scuffs everywhere nothing special at all. The room even with the lights turned on was very dark and old fashioned. No robes in the room when we arrived, had to ring reception and ask about them and then had to ring again as no-one brought them up to the room! The bed was awful not comfortable at all couldn’t sleep as it was lumpy in places. Could hear the guests in the next room, talking, coughing and the TV also got woken at 7am by them! The bar at Wolfs is over priced for what you get asked for bar snacks ie peanuts or crisps was handed a menu for a meal. Bring your own snacks. Lighthouse lounge scones heated but hard as rocks not even fresh, had a latte and had to wait on jam so my coffee was cold by the time I got my scones we had to ask for sugar the girl wasn’t interested tables weren’t even cleaned. Room service well 10pm came we ordered pizza and a sandwich 10.20pm they called to say sold out of pizzas so they were weren’t even fresh for £16 further 30 mins later we got our sandwiches. The room over night was cold and noisy with the fan. In a nutshell very disappointing stay and won’t be rushing back.

Stavo il sabato sera per celebrare il compleanno della famiglia. La Corte del Canale è un bel hotel. Grande atmosfera. Il personale è molto accogliente e piacevole. La nostra stanza era senza spot. Tutti abbiamo mangiato in una zona alcolica accanto al bar. Il personale era estremamente utile e attento.Il bar era davvero occupato.Grande band.Il colazione era cucinato per ordinare e delizioso. Newry è un bel posto per fare shopping. Ci siamo apprezzati molto bene il nostro soggiorno
