UUtente ospiteWhat a trip! The rooms are MASSIVE. It's essentially a full apartment. Very spacious and comfortable. The beds are extra extra large so perfect for families.
For Western travellers, you may find the bed a bit hard. We were perfectly happy with it though.
I personally will recommend Holiday Inn at the resort for those with kids. It's right next to the beginner tracks and that hotel hosts all the children activities and kids club. Though I don't know what the room is like. More from a location perspective.
Wanda Jin Suites has 2 buildings. Best to get the 1st building as much closer to the beginner tracks and the service centre to rent ski gears. We were in the 2nd building.
I will say from a location perspective, it was inconvenient for us as once you have snow boots on, it's a trek to carry your ski gears back and forth. There are lockers to put your ski gears in so we'll utilise that more next time. You do need WeChat though and if you don't have a local number, it gets difficult. If you're from Australia, just lose the 0 and add 18 at the front of your mobile number and that will get you through. But best to just get a local SIM to save you the hassle.
But from a food perspective, they're right outside the building and short walk to the hot springs and the water park which is all included in the hotel fees. Including ski pass and going to the snow playground. At the snow playground, there's snowmobiles for kids to ride on amongst a lot of other activities. But that's extra money. Again, need WeChat.
The hotel concierge when you check in will add you into their WeChat and you can ask them questions and they'll help you. Very convenient.
It's an amazing place to come with kids. Water park is insane there and my son had a blast. The hot spring was also an amazing experience. Though very cold to get in and out of the hot springs at -20C.
There are other activities outside the resort which hotel concierge will help you arrange. They can also shuttle you to the nearby village for more authentic food if you don't want to eat inside the resort.
Beaware that the pharmacy at the resort does not have any ibuprofen or paracetemol.
Strongly advise you get WeChat. You can book pretty much all the activities through their WeChat mini app. Including ski coaches. There are rogue ski coaches coming up to you to get business so beware. We almost got on a shuttle with a rogue coach that were gonna take us elsewhere and weren't even letting adults come (it was for the kids) and a hotel staff came up and essentially stopped them and forced them to give back the deposit. Book your coaches early. They book out quick. Particularly snowboarding.
We also booked an igloo making class for our son and he had an amazing time. Though it's all in Mandarin of course. They have half day and full day camps for kids so parents can drop off and chill for the day.
The staff here can barely speak English so bring your AI translator with you. We had less of a problem since I can speak Chinese but my husband often got stuck and needed me or even my son to help navigate around.
Make sure you go back to the counter after returning your ski gear at the end of your stay to get your deposit back.
We had an amazing time and would consider coming back.

From Late-Night Arrival to Instant Support
Arriving on the late Spring Airlines 9C7751 flight at 21:21, we were weary travelers. Xiao Xie, on his night shift, welcomed us with calm efficiency. He masterfully explained our extensive 6-night package—daily skiing, hot springs, water park access, and shuttle service—making it all instantly clear.
The Heart of Hospitality: Personal Intervention
What sets Xiao Xie apart was his proactive help when small obstacles arose. He didn't just give directions; he provided solutions:
1. WeChat Pay Hiccup: When we couldn't access a convenient unmanned shop due to a mobile payment issue, Xiao Xie didn't hesitate. He stepped in and paid for our items first, trusting us to settle it later. This act of personal trust and immediate problem-solving was astounding.
2. Power Bank Rescue: Realizing we needed a portable charger, he seamlessly assisted with the rental process, ensuring we stayed connected.
3. Hot Springs Ticket Resolution: When there was a minor glitch redeeming our included Hanna Hot Springs tickets, he took personal ownership. He didn't just make a call; he followed through until the issue was resolved and we gained entry, preserving our evening of relaxation.
4. Local Guide: Beyond the resort, he offered fantastic recommendations for local eateries, leading us to some of our best meals during the trip.

Xiao Xie operated with a philosophy that no guest concern was too small. His assistance during the night shift was particularly valuable, providing a constant, reliable point of contact. He embodies the true spirit of hospitality—anticipating needs, solving problems with grace, and investing personally in the guest experience.

The Sheraton Changbaishan offers a fantastic product: a seamless booking, incredibly valuable ski/activity package, and comfortable amenities. But Xiao Xie is the soul of the place. He turned potential frustrations into memorable demonstrations of care.

However, the most memorable part of my stay was the outstanding service I received from the moment I checked in. Chen Yuanyuan (陈园园), the hotel staff, was an absolute delight. She is always smiling, polite, and going above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. From the beginning, she warmly escorted us to our room and took the time to explain all the hotel amenities in detail. Her thoughtfulness did not stop there. She proactively connected with me on WeChat to ensure quick responses to any requests we had. The next morning, she personally reminded us about breakfast and even offered to come to our room to guide us to the restaurant. Her dedication was evident as she stayed until we were seated comfortably in the buffet area. Even after checkout, her exceptional service continued. She presented us with lovely hotel gifts and waited with us until our taxi arrived, ensuring a smooth departure. Chen Yuanyuan’s service attitude is truly commendable. Her attentiveness, warmth, and professionalism set a high standard for hospitality. She is undoubtedly a role model for her peers and a huge asset to the hotel. UUtente ospiteL'ambiente dell'hotel è di prima classe, è molto comodo prendere un taxi nelle vicinanze, quindi è molto comodo andare ovunque. La camera dell'hotel era molto confortevole ed è stata la migliore notte di sonno che ho avuto durante un viaggio di più giorni. La cosa più importante era che la temperatura era moderata e la camera era molto spaziosa. Il servizio alla reception è molto professionale, paziente e molto efficiente. Soprattutto il senior manager dell'hotel, Crystal, parla un inglese fluente, il che rende ancora più difficile lasciare una buona impressione ai viaggiatori fuori città. È molto premuroso che l'hotel consegni frutta.

The butler service was truly exceptional, and a special shoutout to Romy, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. She was incredibly caring and thoughtful, helping us arrange transport and even assisting with sending a parcel back to Malaysia. We were here for a birthday celebration, and she surprised us with a free room upgrade, which made the trip even more special.
The food at the hotel was delicious and comforting, though we do hope for more variety in the future. The breathtaking views and the overall experience were perfect, and we can’t wait to return for another stay.
One suggestion for improvement: it would be great if there were a map to make the area more tourist-friendly. There are many shops around the hotel, but we didn’t realize this until after skiing. A guide would make exploring the area much easier for guests.

JJoeSGLa nostra famiglia di 4 aveva un meraviglioso soggiorno di 2 notti a metà dicembre. Il servizio di grande importanza è iniziato anche prima del nostro soggiorno, poiché abbiamo 2 concierge personali Xiao Zhang & assegnati a noi. Abbiamo chiesto di collegare le camere via Trip e Xiao Zhang & ci ha contattati direttamente via WeChat. Non solo ci hanno aiutato a raggiungere le camere di connessione, hanno anche dato consigli e hanno aiutato a organizzare il nostro bagaglio da inviare all'hotel mentre un conducente privato (costi aggiuntivi) ci ha scelti dalla stazione ferroviaria per iniziare immediatamente la nostra tour di Changbaishan. E' stata la prima volta che la nostra famiglia ha cercato di sciare e abbiamo chiesto al nostro concierge di organizzare un allenatore privato (costi aggiuntivi). Immediatamente dopo l'arrivo al cappello di sci, l'allenatore ci aspettava e ci condusse attraverso l'intero caotico processo di raccolta e di indossamento delle attrezzature. L'hotel ha accesso diretto e illimitato alla primavera calda e ha anche una grande esperienza da non perdere (Non dimenticare di imballare il vostro costume da bagno!) Ha anche una piscina di pesce dove noi immergiamo tutto il corpo. C'è anche un bellissimo Paradiso per animali diversi che si possono nutrire. In generale ci sono molte attività per tutti e sicuramente consigliamo l'hotel a tutti che vengono a Changbaishan.

YYuntenghuayuSituato nel cuore della zona turistica, gode di una posizione comoda vicino a tutto. Le camere sono ben fornite di articoli da toeletta e le aree comuni sono pulite e ordinate. La posizione è eccellente e il rapporto qualità-prezzo è ottimo. Il maggiordomo, Haha, è stato gentile e disponibile, rispondendo sempre prontamente a qualsiasi domanda. Nel complesso, un'esperienza davvero positiva. Tornerò sicuramente la prossima volta e non vedo l'ora di vivere un'esperienza ancora più piacevole in inverno.

VVinzent RAbbiamo avuto un bel tempo in questo hotel e abbiamo goduto molto il nostro soggiorno. Soprattutto la zona calda primavera è sorprendente. A volte è una sfida comunicare in inglese. Ma ho collegato Xiao Liu su WeChat e è stato sempre sostenuto in modo molto utile. Grazie a Xiao Liu e a tutto il personale dell'hotel per una vacanza molto rilassante.

A very special thanks to the reception staff, gym team, and hot spring attendants. Even though I don’t speak Chinese, every staff member was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and foreigner-friendly. They patiently went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable, welcome, and at home.
The hotel itself is stunning — elegant design, comfortable rooms, a well-equipped gym, and a relaxing hot spring. Everything is spotless, modern, and carefully maintained.
For any international traveler visiting Changchun, this is the perfect place to stay. It’s foreigner friendly, luxurious, and highly recommended. I will definitely stay here again!
