It was a great stay at this ryokan! The hotel is able to arrange a car to fetch you from the JR station. You can call them using a dedicated phone at the station which is used to contact the different ryokans. The car arrived in 10mins or so. The ride to the ryokan was also less than 10mins. The hotel also fetched us to the station on the last day of our stay. The ryokan itself is homely and cozy. We were greeted by an english speaking staff who introduced us to the amenities of the ryokan. There was also a nice welcome tea and matcha chocolate. Our bags were brought to our room as well during this time. The room is spacious and cozy. The hotel prepared 2 welcome biscuits in the room which was a nice personal touch. The room has a nice living room and a great view of Lake Biwa. Recommend to catch the sunrise over the lake! There are 2 normal beds as well as futon beds (need to set up yourself). Both are comfortable. The hotel also prepared pretty yukata for both female and male guests which you can wear during the stay. There are 4 different designs for ladies, and one design for the guys. You can request for different size if the one in the room doesn’t fit you. There is also a full length mirror and a mini dressing area at the side of the living room. It was fun dressing up in the yukata! The toilet, basin, shower and hot tub areas are all separate. The toilet is a little small, but the basin and mirror area is very spacious. The shower area is quite small as well and the shower head is rather low so you need to hold the shower head if you wish to wash up while standing. There is a small stool given for you to sit down though. The hot tub area is semi-outdoor and you can see Lake Biwa. But it is quite small (only good for one person). It was too cold so we didn’t use the hot tub. Instead, we booked the private onsen for 50mins. The private onsen has a private toilet and dressing area which is equipped with hairdryer, body lotion etc. There is a water dispenser as well if you need to hydrate yourself. The onsen area has a washing area, and the hot tub area is spacious for 2 person. There are privacy screens around the onsen area but there is a small gap to let in cold air for ventilation. Wish there is a good view from the private onsen but it was still enjoyable! Dinner and breakfast was Kaiseki style, and the meals were one of the highlights for my husband and I. We really enjoyed the courses which are clean tasting yet wholesome, fresh and flavourful. It was such a sumptuous treat! The ryokan also has a souvenir shop if you wish to buy anything back. Overall, my husband and I really enjoyed the stay here and we agreed this was one of the main highlights of our 12 days trip in Japan. Highly recommend!

I couldn't speak Japanese but I could feel that they are treating every customer seriously. Their greetings and sincere services impressed me. There was a problem with my booking initially, not sure why because I didn't get proper explanation from the hotel and Trip.com, the hotel didn't mention anything however arranged some small surprise when they knew this is an anniversary trip. I tried to upgrade my meal with crab as my wife not quite like beef and fish, they said unavailable so I keep to the original. At the end I got crab, fish and beef that surprises me. I was later received a souvenir from the hotel when they served the dessert. The hotel is busy but I'm not seeing lots of people, may be all of them staying at their rooms. The experience for me was exceptional when I woke up at 6am witness the beautiful sunrise right outside the huge window, and saw an eagle passing by my camera when trying to capture that moment. Later on when I take the free shuttle bus ride to the nearby train station, I saw an eagle again came down and climbed up outside the station. Not sure it means anything, but definitely this is a very spiritual journey for me.

It offers free parking for guests and complimentary bike rentals, making it easy to explore the scenic lakeside paths and nearby attractions. The staff were incredibly helpful, providing recommendations for local sights, such as the historic Enryaku-ji Temple. Lake Biwa Hotel is a fantastic choice for a peaceful getaway. With stunning views, comfortable accommodations, and great amenities, I highly recommend it for a relaxing escape.

Dopo un'influenza di Kyoto, amo l'ambiente tranquillo e tranquillo di questa bella città di gioielli e di castello di onsen. Tutto circa l'hotel parla di relax e benessere. È solo un 7-8min passeggiata dalla stazione Hikone, ma c'è una navetta alberghiera che parte alle 9, 10 e 11 se hai bisogno di un calo. Probabilmente anche il pick-up potrebbe essere organizzato. L'hotel offre una bella terrazza esterna con vista sul castello, un spa in loco con massaggio, una sala biblioteca con bevande gratuite fino alle 10 pm, un angolo riflesso a piedi e un accoppiamento compatto con un bagno di seta (tutto con vista sul castello) e bancone di pietra calda. Ho avuto tutta la mia mente stasera, quindi è stato molto rilassante, il personale è gentile e carino, cercando di spiegare tutti i servizi e le attrazioni in inglese. Il buffet è stato anche uno dei migliori che ho visto durante le mie viaggi in Giappone. Se stai visitando il castello, la strada di ingresso è proprio fuori dall'hotel. La strada principale del castello è a circa 5-10 min di distanza, ma vi passerete attraverso una famosa cantina giapponese, Taneya e Club Harie. I loro souvenir sono uno che anche il giapponese ama. Vorrei tornare qui con il mio partner un giorno. Grazie per il piacevole soggiorno.

這次是來長濱悠閒度假5天.發現選擇住宿於此真是一次正確的決定. 1.地理位置就在琵琶湖邊，晨昏透過房間窗戶看到的是一望無際、美麗的湖畔風光.顿覺心曠神怡.身心舒暢. 2.下午15:00~18:00提供下午茶時光.就在一樓大廳.四面都是透明的大落地窗.坐在這裡，輕鬆的喝著咖啡或茶，配上各式新鮮的堅果或小餅乾點心.眼光所及之處是窗外整片的公園綠地及湖濱美景，人生夫復何求. 3.溫泉公共大浴場因國情及個人習慣因素，雖未使用.但有入內參觀，感覺整體設計及氛圍都能讓人徹底放鬆.值得一試. 4.房間面積較一般市區旅館寛敞許多，早餐內容也十分豐富.整體住宿感覺就是cp值超高.雖成立已有一段時間.外觀也並不新颖現代，但維護保養看的出有十分用心，各項服務也都十分到位.地處琵琶湖濱，但離長濱市區並不遠，走路僅10~15分鐘即可到達長濱駅.但飯店然有提供接駁車服務住宿旅客往返飯店及長濱駅.無論去長濱周邊任何景點都十分方便. 總之，這是一次十分令人滿意的住宿體驗.

Recentemente sono rimasto all'AB Hotel Hikone e ho avuto un'esperienza eccezionale. La posizione si trova a 5 stelle, a 5-9 Daitocho, Hikone, Shiga, che offre facile accesso alle attrazioni chiave. La pulizia dell'hotel è lodevole, guadagnando un altro rating 5-star. Il personale era amichevole e accogliente, anche se un po 'più alto per l'amichevole sarebbe migliore l'esperienza complessiva. Il prezzo è eccellente, con strutture di alto livello che meritano un completo 5 stelle. In generale, AB Hotel Hikone offre un fantastico soggiorno con la sua posizione migliore, la pulizia, il valore per i soldi e le strutture eccellenti.

La visita al fiume Shirahige è stata una buona opzione. L'ospite ha offerto una gita al mattino dopo aver saputo che avevamo intenzione di andare, che era molto gentile con lui. La stanza era molto spaziosa e pulita, con una bella vista. Molto vicino alla stazione e facile da trovare. L'unica cosa che avrei notato è che c'era solo un bagno. Siamo arrivati alle 830 e abbiamo pianificato di prendere il bagno presto, ma al momento abbiamo sistemato e siamo arrivati giù (al 9:00), qualcun altro lo usava per non entrare fino a 930. E'stato un peccato che non potessimo goderci il bagno caldo quanto volevamo, come cercavamo di andare in fretta per il prossimo gruppo, perché ci aspettavano, ma non sono sicuro che potessero usarlo come il bagno si chiude alle 10:00.

My partner and I thorougly enjoyed our stay at Biwako Hotel. All rooms face the beautiful Lake Biwako and the view was perfect. We even caught a snowfall on one of our mornings here. The staff was great and always friendly even when there was a slight language barrier. We tried their breakfast as well which was really good. Highly recommend renting their electric bikes and cycling around the lake during sunset. And also going for the Lake Biwako Cruise! The hotel onsen is wonderful as well, we will definitely be back
