**Absolutely fabulous gem of a hotel – we’re already planning our return! ** Sono quasi riluttante a cantare le sue lodi troppo forte se non riusciremo a ottenere una prenotazione la prossima volta, ma non posso semplicemente raccomandare l'Oceano abbastanza alto. Questo posto è un stand assoluto. Dal momento in cui arrivate, il servizio è eccezionale. Il menu offre una fantastica selezione, tutto è cucinato fresco per ordinare, e ogni piatto che abbiamo provato è stato eccellente. Le porzioni sono generose, ma perfettamente giudicate – così tanto che purtroppo non potevamo sgridare in un dessert, anche se il menu sembrava ogni tanto tentante come le principali. L'hotel è stato decorato con gusto e cura reali in tutto il mondo.La nostra stanza è stata incredibile – fresca, moderna e incredibilmente accogliente, mentre ancora si sente confortevole e domestico. È un cambiamento così rinfrescante dalle solite offerte di fronte al mare stanche e graziose; il team ha chiaramente gettato il cuore e l'anima in creare un posto che si sente sia elegante che veramente confortante. In generale, The Ocean is a superb find – one of those rare places that ticks every box and leaves you smile from check-in to check-out. We will definitely be back next time we're in the area. Parcheggio un po'piccolo ma si può usare la porta accanto. Camera un po' stanca con marchi sul tappeto. Camera tranquilla e buon sonno. Colazione inclusa che era di buona qualità, tuttavia la macchina del caffè non è grande.

A Perfect Day at The Bedingfeld Arms! What a truly wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, The Bedingfeld Arms delivered exactly what we were hoping for—and more. Nestled in a charming location, it felt like a gentle escape into the countryside, with just the right mix of warmth and ease. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. We lingered over our meal, not wanting it to end! The rooms were just what we needed: cozy, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed. It was so lovely to wake up refreshed and step out into such a peaceful setting. While some might wish for a slightly more “posh” or traditional pub feel—Tom did miss the classic old-world touches like dark walnut floors and the scent of oak smoke in the air—we both appreciated the light, airy ambiance and modern comfort. It’s clear The Bedingfeld Arms has found its own style, and it’s working beautifully. Altogether, it was a delightful, cheerful, and refreshing day, and we’re so glad we chose to spend it here. Abbiamo soggiornato qui prima e siamo stati felici di ribookare per un altro soggiorno. La nostra stanza era pulita e tranquilla. Il divano frontale e il personale di pulizia erano amichevole ed efficiente. Buona fornitura di tè e caffè nella stanza. Abbiamo anche potuto utilizzare il parcheggio hotel che era super conveniente. La posizione è eccellente per noi perché è a piedi distanza dal centro della città, passeggiate sul fiume, la stazione ferroviaria e gli autobus locali. Rimarrà.

Booked for one night to go to the football at Carrie road which is about 15min walk from hotel town centre is about 20min walk, it is easy to get to from the station just a short walk, arrived and some other guests let me in at first as the manager was not there, he arrived a few minutes later and quickly booked quests in, very easy process he showed me were I was staying as staying the other side of hotel, told me if I had any problems to ring the number on the paper stuck to the back of the door, and if I wanted to use the WiFi the code was also there. Room was small but had a shower toilet and sink as well as a hairdryer and clothes rack. There was also a kettle with tea and coffee facilities. Overall place was clean and tidy I stayed in the top part at the front it was a pleasant stay.

Communal toilets were clean, the hotel was warm but due to not being able to adjust the heating in the room ( house rules ) it was unbearably hot so we had to have the window open - no consideration from the staff at the restaurant next to the hotel as they were loudly throwing things into the bins just below our room at 12am. Therefore my partner had extremely broken sleep, did not feel rested and was exhausted the next day, but good value for what it is and likely better for solo business travelling as the hotel can supply earplugs. Rang the number for the hotel as advised before checking in, called three times but no answer so had to ring the doorbell twice before being let in, staff seemed unhappy to be answering the door and slightly unwelcoming ( this was at only 5pm )

Hotel is located within easy reach of city centre and close to restaurants and bars. Friendly helpful staff. Clean and spacious rooms.

However, they do have a slightly older decor that might not appeal to everyone. 4. **Toiletries**: A heads-up for future guests: remember to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers, as these are not provided. 5. **Location Considerations**: If you're not driving, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. It’s a bit isolated, making it less convenient for those relying on public transport.
