Just wrapped up a fantastic two-night stay at Phoenix Hotel Liverpool and wanted to share my thoughts! At £126.90 plus a small £4.80 property fee, it offered excellent value for a city center experience.
The location at 46-48 Foley Street puts you right in the heart of Liverpool, which was perfect for my mini-break. Being centrally located meant I could easily walk to major attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas without relying on transportation. The vibrant city atmosphere was right on my doorstep!
I stayed from **Thursday, August 7 to Saturday, August 9, 2025** — a perfect two-night city escape. Check-in after 3 PM was smooth and welcoming, and the 11 AM check-out time was standard and convenient. The staff were helpful and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived.
The hotel itself (which I could see in the booking thumbnail) had a classic Liverpool charm about it. My room was clean, comfortable, and had all the essentials I needed for a pleasant stay. While not ultra-luxurious, it was well-maintained and provided a cozy base for exploring the city.
What I appreciated was the **transparent pricing** — I knew exactly what I was paying upfront (£126.90) and what I'd need to pay at the property (just £4.80). The Trip.com booking process was straightforward, and having their price match and stay guarantee gave me extra confidence in my booking.
The app's ”Message Property” and ”Call Property” features came in handy when I needed some local recommendations. The ”Manage Booking” function made it easy to keep all my travel details organized in one place.
Is it a five-star luxury hotel? No, but it doesn't claim to be. Phoenix Hotel Liverpool delivers exactly what it promises: a comfortable, well-located place to stay at a reasonable price point that lets you experience the best of Liverpool without breaking the bank.
**Would I recommend it?** Absolutely! If you're looking for a centrally located hotel in Liverpool with good amenities and friendly service, this place ticks all the boxes. Perfect for weekend city breaks, concert-goers, or anyone wanting to soak up Liverpool's vibrant atmosphere.

SSqrz_96Great stay at the Knowsley. The staff were friendly and there is parking which is a bonus. The rooms were generally clean but the dining area could have been cleaner - some crockery needed re-cleaning. The fire alarm went off mid way through the night but was quickly dealt with. The breakfast was OK - a good selection of food but the ingredients were of low quality and quite greasy. I'd stay here again however but would go elsewhere for breakfast.

*The Carpark was full of old furniture from the hotel and empty beer barrier preventing you getting parked,
*The hotel has turned into more of a party venue hotel rather than the beautiful hotel it was when I last came with my daughter 2018.
*tap in the kitchen area in our room only let out hot water and unfortunately the room stunk of what I could only describe as a sewerage smell? Whether the drains needed maintenance I’m not sure but I I just sprayed some deodorant around to help make it not smell quite as bad because I was so tired I didnt want to have to swap rooms.
*There was also no phone to call reception which I found strange and the remote for the tv was missing the back of it.
I put all this bad points down to the fact that when I previously came it was owned by someone who really cared about the maintenance and reputation of the hotel but now I’ve found it’s since been sold it seems the new owner isn’t as bothered and all what the shankley represented before eg, maintenance, luxury, football themed has kind of turned more into a tacky themed hotel and doesn’t feel classy anymore. I’d probably not stay here again as it’s not the same as it was and just the whole feel of hand hotel is different. It’s not the best if you have come with kids as there’s lots of drunken guests in the hotel and it’s noisey but thank goodness it’s a large hotel as you don’t hear the noise from downstairs. We were on level 3.
Our room was lovely and big with a large double bed and 2 twins pushed together, a kitchen area with tea bags and coffee (no biscuits but that didn’t bother us as we had snacks with us
The upsides were-
*Staff were pleasant,
*breakfast was amazing with everything you could possibly as for,
*hotel was mainly quiet on the 3rd floor, room was on the whole clean and had a hair dryer, iron and ironing board with a safe.
* . The bathroom was lovely especially the bath as it was a jacuzzi with a waterfall shower. Everything was clean from what I could see.

MMrs Vicki JamiesonLe recensioni possono essere piuttosto negative da parte di alcune persone, e sono d'accordo che le camere potrebbero fare con un rinfrescamento, ma è un vecchio hotel pieno di carattere e storia e ci è davvero piacevole per questo. È molto centrale e 6 minuti a piedi dalla Stazione di Lime e 7 minuti a Cavern Quarter. (Il pub Vines vicino alla porta è anche un must & 15 min in direzione opposta, si prende il pub filharmonico, bellissimo luogo con storia e un premio vincente bistecca.). Il personale dell'hotel è stato amichevole, utile e molto carino.Vi sono un paio di bar bellissimi quando entrate nella zona di accoglienza , tra cui il bar americano, che ha un piacevole senso di bar bar. Ho avuto un sacco di tempo e sono rimasti qui per 3 notti e ha avuto un bel soggiorno. Se volesse tornare, le camere avrebbero bisogno di un sollevamento facciale. 😀

UUtente ospiteL'hotel è stato un luogo eccellente per dove dovevamo andare, tra cui l'autobus aperto, Echo Arena, città centrale con pub, ristoranti, ecc. e trasporto.
Il personale era amichevole e utile. Non era troppo per loro. La nostra stanza era senza spot. La doccia era una grande passeggiata, con shampoo, condizionatore e lavatrice.
Rimaniamo qui, senza dubbio, e lo consigliamo agli amici e alla famiglia.

UUtente ospiteIt was a surprisingly pleasant stay. I stayed here for one night to attend a business engagement in the building next door. Reception staffs were very friendly and offered their free luggage storage service. Room is clean and spacious with great view of the city. They use Rituals as bathroom amenities. There is food 24/7. Breakfast selection was comprehensive (full English breakfast, cereal, fruits, bread, tea and coffee, juice, milk)

DDavidHanyilmazLovely big rooms, however can get cold due to this. However could have been a fault of our own as we didn’t alter the thermostat. Bathroom was nice but if you have the option don’t choose a bath in the room and the shower is not the best. I have stayed here previously in a shower room and they are superior. We missed out on the spa if you want to go you now have to pre book which we weren’t informed about potentially Trip.com’s fault and not the hotel.

Il nostro soggiorno è stato davvero piacevole, ha prenotato una notte con colazione e al mattino mi e mio marito hanno deciso di chiedere se potessimo prenotare la stessa stanza per una notte extra, questo non era un problema personale sono davvero gentile e niente è un problema, Abbiamo prenotato la suite esecutiva che aveva bagno privato con bagno e doccia con asciugamani molto puliti, letto super re meglio era molto comodo le mutandine erano un po 'soft per me, ma ancora grandi notti dormivano, Abbiamo anche un soggiorno con un divano da 49” TV e un divano angolo. Anche se è proprio vicino alla stazione ferroviaria non ci ha mai disturbato perché non era alto e poteva guardare la TV e gli annunci fermati alle 11:00. Il ristorante è bellissimo cibo, E il colazione era un buffet, poteva scegliere quanto volevi e potevi tornare per più.

VVadim ZahharovIl posto era esattamente come annunciato. Il personale è molto amichevole e utile. È certamente valente rimanere se il viaggio è breve.
Per quanto riguarda i danni, l'ostello ha un numero limitato di bagni e docce - questo può causare problemi se si deve lasciare rapidamente. La ventilazione nelle camere è fondamentalmente non esistente, e le camere ospitano fino a 10 persone, quindi lascio la qualità dell'aria alla vostra immaginazione. Isolazione acustica non è grande, quindi se qualcuno ha un buon tempo in cucina, lo sentirete. Porta le mutandine se sei un sonno leggero. La pulizia è soggettiva, non sono cosi' piccante, ma avere dei crollati nel mio letto è disturbante. Alcuni cuscini hanno filtri con capelli in loro. Non avete visto niente che sarebbe in realtà dannoso come la molle o i prodotti igienici, quindi è buono.
La posizione è buona. Liverpool non è così grande e si arriva al centro della città in meno di un'ora anche con il più ritmo ricreativo. Visita la cattedrale sulla strada. Non ho visto negozi in prossimità, ma non ho bisogno di loro, quindi forse troverete alcuni se guardate. La fermata degli autobus per l'aeroporto è abbastanza vicino, quindi è un plus.
In generale, questo è un ostello. Potete dormire lì, magazzinare le vostre cose e magari avere una conversazione con persone interessanti. Il prezzo è giusto per l'esperienza.
