UUtente ospiteI always try and book a pre Xmas stay somewhere, with my children . I came across Woodford Bridge on a booking site , and it seemed to offer great value for money so I thought why not. There are some positives and negatives which I ll list below.
Arrived on a dark and gloomy Tues evening, the roads are not particularly great , potholes galore in the area. In the dark its quite scary roads too, in the middle of nowhere !!
Check in was straightforward, nice friendly staff , however I found they have a tendency to talk amongst themselves and leave you waiting for too long before saying ” can I help you ”?
Apartment was very clean , modern and warm. Incredibly happy with the size of it. Easy location to the games room for my boys, which they enjoyed very much, the pool table and table tennis. However the lighting is not great around the steps , and also the warning paint on edges of steps have worn off , so I had to be very careful walking back to apt in the dark.
Used swimming facilities , nice , clean , quiet . The other facilities looked good .
Went to the pub on site one night. Lovely little place , although totally devoid of atmosphere, hopefully better at weekend when live music on. They definitely need something. Prices of wine extortionate 175ml for 7.25 .
I had to contact reception as the seal around the oven was coming off, did this in the morning before we went to atlantic village. On our return it was still hanging off, so had to contact reception again. Although I really liked the apt , there are a couple of improvements needed I feel. Firstly I could not find a chopping board or fish slice in the kitchen. As a single female with 2 children I also did nt feel safe as the apts can be accessed by anyone , there needs to be a key card reader on the entrance to the block , not just the apt door.
Overall , it was a nice enough stay but I Don t think we d return. Probably much nicer in the Summer , and more going on in the area

TTraceyBasically I wanted to get away but I didn't like the vibe so I left. However, the staff were great, the rooms were clean and I was able to leave when I wanted to. There was also live music and the musician was good. There is a good dance floor.

We have been to the cliffden hotel three times and had a club room on the first floor they were nice large rooms but this time we were on the second floor our room was very small and claustrophobic nothing like the photos in the booking . We asked for a different room and the man at reception said see me tomorrow morning and if there's a larger room you can have it. Later on in the day my partner went to reception to book a table for an evening meal for us. While she was booking the table the lady at the reception said there were no other rooms you can have. The barman was very polite nice to chat to. We only had one meal in the evening cod and chips could not find much cod it was all batter. Other meal gammon and chips gammon would be good to repair your soles on your shoes. Go to the local chip shop absolutely beautiful. We used the indoor swimming pool which was nice and clean. The gardens are lovely, and the beer is very expensive. Go to the jolly sailor pub with drinks at good prices. Reception is not very helpful. I can't understand why the hotel puts people with dogs on the second floor because when the dog wants to go to the toilet by the time you get down to the entrance the dog has already peed on the carpets. Luckily our dog can hold her pee and she is small enough to carry.I have followed other people with their dogs and seen it. Overall we were very disappointed with our stay this time.

Dopo aver detto che, il totalemente senza chiamare per sorpresa, inamici e chiaramente insufficiente di un membro del personale alla reception quando siamo tornati all'hotel dopo aver andato alle gare di Newton Abbot, ha sorpreso il soggiorno di notte per il nostro gruppo di 7. In primo luogo, dopo aver servito bevande a due membri del nostro gruppo, che sono arrivati all'hotel davanti al resto di noi, non gli ha permesso di portare le bevande fuori da una veranda, in modo che potessero fumare e non potessero fornire alcuna buona ragione per rifiutare la In secondo luogo, quando il resto di noi arrivava all'hotel a circa 11.30pm il bar era chiuso e si rifiutò di servirci qualsiasi bevanda, anche se noi chiese gentilmente, voleva solo un altro drink prima di andare a letto. Era anche corto, brutto e distintamente insopportabile quando gli chiese di indicarci verso le nostre stanze, dando una parola di risposte e sembrando che tutti noi lo considerassimo un ostacolo. In generale, questa esperienza ci ha fatto rammarico della nostra scelta di hotel e siamo disposti a tornare in hotel in futuro.
Un altro influsso è stato che il servizio di colazione era povero e lento, con colazione cucinata che richiedeva 25 minuti per arrivare e molti elementi chiave mancavano e non riempivano a meno che gli ospiti non fossero stati chiesti specificamente, tra cui tazze, sacchi di tè, zucchero e succo d’arancia,

The hotel is situated at bottom end of Totnes main street. It is a busy hotel and bar, serving food. The building is old with one central staircase leading to rooms. All the rooms I have occupied are very clean, decorated in a tasteful way and the beds are comfortable.. Teas are good quality Tea Pigs a small coffee machine is also provided, plus a bottle of water.
I am a coeliac and vegetarian. Eating in other hotels is almost impossible,they simply do not cater for my dietary requirements,thankfully I am guaranteed a delicious breakfast here.
One of the most important reasons for returning here is the customer service. The staff here are really approachable and friendly. Any issue you may have regarding your stay, they will do their best to help you resolve.
T have stayed in other hotels etc if there aren't any vacancies here but from my experience if you like a relaxed friendly environment, lovely rooms, location Totnes as a base, then this is the place to come .
It is also a short walk away from the most beautiful cinema I've ever been in, which is tucked away, along the main high street,
My only wish is that more free parking was available . The hotel offers capacity for approx 6 cars at the rear of the hotel. There is plenty of paid parking in main street and nearby Morrisons.

UUtente ospiteI stayed with my daughter for one night when visiting for a competition. The location was good. The car park was full but we found parking nearby. Unfortunately we found the hotel extremely noisy and didn’t get much sleep. I had to call the reception twice due to “noisy neighbours” and they sent security to them each time. I wouldn’t personally stay here again due to the thin walls but if you’re not bothered by that then the hotel itself was good.

Siamo stati in una stanza con una splendida vista sul mare per svegliarsi fino a ogni mattina. La colazione era di alta qualità e ci ha dato un grande inizio al giorno. In generale l'hotel è molto pulito e ogni struttura utilizzata sembra essere mantenuta a buon livello.
La nostra camera era molto spaziosa rispetto a molte altre camere d'albergo che ho soggiornato. La camera era certamente più grande della media e comprendeva una doccia di buona dimensione, con molta acqua calda a buona pressione. Anche quando si usavano le altre coperte, la doccia sembrava essere completamente intatta.
Un paio di dettagli piccoli che avrebbero migliorato il nostro soggiorno. Un ascensore di lavoro, durante la nostra visita era fuori ordine. Ma questo non ha rovinato il nostro soggiorno. L'altro dettaglio sarebbe un piccolo sedile (o simile) nel bagno.
Tutti i membri del personale si sono incontrati in modo amichevole, accurato e utile, e tutti sembravano disposti a garantire che ci fosse il piacere del nostro soggiorno a The Osborne.
Abbiamo camminato intorno a alcuni dei terreni che sembravano essere mantenuti, e abbiamo camminato anche fuori dai terreni e attraverso la baia a Meadfoot, un luogo grande per andare a piedi e godere dell'aria fresca del mare.

SSpammy05As always we were greeted with a friendly face and smile at reception,we arrived before check in time but they always check to see if a room is available. On this occasion it wasn't but they happily took our bags in so we could go enjoy our afternoon without the worry of carrying them around.
Check in was quick and simple and we were in our room within 5 mins of check in. Room was spacious clean and fresh. We were given a twin room this time which was perfect as I was traveling with a friend not partner.
Bed was super comfy with great pillows.
Shower was really nice ,decent water pressure and the shower gel provided was lovely too.
Breakfast was a big selection of the normal cooked,everything was fresh and tasty,bacon was slightly over cooked but the rest was great. Nice selection of pastries too.
Continental is also an option there. Fresh juices and hot drink available also.
Overall another 5* stay in my opinion and as a regular user will be returning again in the nr future! Thankyou Hilton.

MMeander ChinaA grade looking hotel that is traditionally British, somewhat faded glory! The room was comfortable and warm. The staff was helpful. Located near the shopping centre with all the areas of interest within walking distance.
