Hotel in zona Baystones, Windermere

Stayed in the yurt for one night and I was really impressed. Log fire in there so that was cosy, beds were comfy and linen really clean. The facilities were great in the main building to games, books, vending machine, bar etc. Toilets were clean didn't need to use the shower. Great views of the lake, would 100% stay again!

Came up for a meet up with friends for some walking on the surrounding fells. Arrived about four and the carpark was full and like an ice rink. Waited a few minutes and thankfully some day walkers on their last day came and took their cars away. Checked in and happily I was in the main house. The rest of the group was already there and so it was odd for drinks and food. It's been a few years since I've been to this hostel as my Wainwright journey has had me in different areas. Looks like the communal areas have had a fresh paint job which has brightened up the building. Had breakfast twice which was excellent. Made my own on the last morning and the smaller kitchen was in desperate need of a mixing bowl. Other than that no issues. All in all a great stay and I look forward to another visit in March. Hopefully room 7 is my room again on that visit.

Molti positivi e sicuramente pensano di restare qui se in futuro si visitano i laghi. L'hotel è molto ben presentato, tutte le aree comuni sono pulite, tempestive e in grande condizione. La posizione è brillante, si trova a pochi 5-10 minuti a piedi dal centro principale di Windermere o dal lago davanti a Bowness. Ci è un pub locale che non era male neanche. L'edificio si trova impressionante al di sopra della collina, con un parcheggio di dimensioni decente davanti, l'approccio è rigido, ma è abbastanza facile girare intorno. La stanza era di grande dimensione e molto ben attrezzata con alcune caratteristiche e lussi moderni che non si aspettavano di solito, perciò ci sono stati alcuni negativi che potrebbero essere migliorati. In primo luogo, abbiamo trovato il letto estremamente incomodo, la materna era ferma e ingiusta, solo un piccolo sorriso dal dormire su un letto di campeggio! In secondo luogo, la stanza era molto calda e difficile da raffreddare. Siamo stati al piano superiore, così pieno di cose per essere alzati sul tetto. Non c’è aria condizionata e le finestre sono dotate di catture di sicurezza, quindi non si apre ampiamente e non c’è modo di propellente la finestra di sash aperta. Infine, le pareti sono sottili, e l'isolamento sonoro è povero, abbiamo avuto una giovane famiglia vicino alla porta, così era piuttosto rumoroso. Un paio di altre cose molto minori da menzionare, la TV remota non funzionava molto bene. Pensate che le batterie debbano cambiare, abbiamo provato altri dalla luce sullo specchio, ma questo non funzionava, quindi non credo che nemmeno questi avessero un gran numero di succo e mentre la stanza aveva un ferro, non c'era un tavolo di ferro - ancora una volta, niente di importante. In generale, un soggiorno dignitoso per il prezzo e noi riteniamo che rappresenti un buon valore per i soldi, e con alcuni piccoli miglioramenti potrebbe essere eccellente.

Il nostro soggiorno è stato molto piacevole. Bello hotel accogliente, la nostra camera era molto comoda, la doccia era buona come il bagno. Il letto era molto comodo e abbiamo dormito bene entrambe le notti. Era molto tranquillo. Il colazione è stato portato alla porta, al momento opportuno per voi, ed è stato molto bello, scelta di cereali, caldo, yogurt, succo, tè o caffè. Anche nella stanza c'è una calda con tè, caffè e latte. Wifi era buono. Il nostro ospite Jenny era super e molto utile a camminare in zona. In tutto ciò, mi consiglierei di rimanere qui. Non lasciare che i segni di costruzione fuori ti mettano fuori.. non era un problema affatto.

This was our first stay at the Lindeth Fell but what a wonderful find! The aspect, overlooking Windermere and the Forest and Fells beyond made the views spectacular and ever changing depending on the time of day and the weather - but it was always breathtaking! But apart from that, what made this hotel extra special were the fantastic team of staff! They were efficient, friendly, nothing was too much trouble and made us feel at home immediately. In particular we’d like to thank Ben, Tam, John, Cath and Olivia for your for making our stay and celebrations so memorable and to Ashley, the superb Chef whose food is excellent, and managed to leave me lost for words on my Birthday by serving me my favourite meal ever! Also huge thanks goes to Harry for his hospitality and generosity on our first visit to Lindeth Fell, we really did appreciate it. Needless to say this may have been our first visit but it certainly won’t be our last!

È stato un buon soggiorno in generale, ma inizialmente deluso con la prima assegnazione della stanza. Possiamo spostare le stanze quando ho comunicato che non ero felice. Era un bel giorno sole, ma non c'è un posto aperto adeguato e certamente non ne è abbastanza. Io e mio marito siamo finiti in modo inconfortabile su un muro nel giardino, che deve essere migliorato a causa della sua posizione lontana e non dove andare, se non seduto all’interno. Il cibo è quello che rende questo posto e è di qualità superiore. Il pasto e il colazione sono stati meravigliosi.

L'hotel è sotto le montagne, il paesaggio è bello.Il personale è buono, la comunicazione con il software di traduzione è molto competente, per aiutarci a portare la valigia.Il traffico qui non è abbastanza conveniente, 505 autobus per un'ora di servizio, devi guardare bene il calendario in anticipo. C'è un campeggio vicino, un lago di marcia, e si incontra domenica, e i vicini guidano qui per un buon posto di riposo.

Booked through ******* where this hotel had a rating of 9. I would put at nearer a 7. Rooms were ok….clean and comfortable enough. En-suite was nice as had been refurbed. Communal areas tired. Breakfast area and restaurant more like a cafe. I had the garlic mushrooms with lemon and time on bruschetta with a side salad, this was a starter as a main. Really weird flavor….really didn’t enjoy. Creamy garlic mushrooms would have been nicer….the bruschetta wasn’t toasted hardly and was soggy…£9. Hubby lasagne was nice £17. Noticed someone getting sausage and mash in a smallish bowl. Two sausages and a bit of mash….£19.50! 😳 Also saw on the menu a cheesecake dessert was £9.50!!! Expensive and average! Breakfast was awful….cold plates, barely cooked bacon and sausage….hash browns that you couldn’t even cut into….just not nice! Staff were friendly enough but on arrival our tv wasn’t working….husband went down twice to advise….as he was desperate to watch the football. Was told it would be 8pm (2 hours) before anyone could help. Was offered another room instead but when he went to look at it he said it was a bit grim dark and dingy so stayed where we were and managed to get tv going. Then we realised we weren’t given the WiFi password when checked in so back down to reception he went….more than a little annoyed by this time! Anyway overall as I said just bang average….just off a really busy road too so road noise from our room was bad too….the header photo on ******* had a water view so that’s where we thought it was set. Wouldn’t stay again…..would have rather spent my money elsewhere….costly average experience 👎
