Si fa l'esperienza di una vera casa inglese, con la sua storia e le sue tradizioni. Clare e Tom sono due padroni di casa straordinari, gentili e disponibili. La colazione è buonissima e la struttura è tenuta in modo impeccabile.

Back again, just gets better Robyn and Chris took over a while ago and continue to provide top class accommodation, food and a very warm welcome Top accommodation with no down sides at all Free parking and convenient for the town We have re-booked for next year already

Went to Oakfold House upon recommendation, we werent disapointed. Very good location to all restaurants/bars and lake. Breakfast very good and no problem if wanting to change preference of items on menu . Hosts Robyn and Chris couldnt have been more welcoming. We were celebrating our 46 year wedding anniversary and at breakfast was a card and small gift of chocolates, such a nice touch . Walks and bus timetables all available in hotel. Very nice bedroom very nice , good variety of tea,coffee and hot chocolate. Lovely biscuits. Will definitely be back, more walks and places to visit.

Excellent and very enjoyable stay, room clean and comfortable, excellent hosts, and excellent breakfast, only a short walk to the many restaurants, bars and Windermere Lake. Robyn and Chris were very helpful letting us get our room earlier than the specified time and no rush on our last day

Okay folks we stayed here for four nights Chris and Robyn are wonderful at looking after you . We arrived early and that was not a problem to them we left our bags in the lounge and went out for something to eat. The hotel is in a very good position to walk to the lake. Breakfast was great will homemade bread. We ate in the Italian restaurant opposite the cinema and the Thai restaurant second one down and can recommend both. If you’re thinking of staying in the Lakes we can recommend staying at this hotel.

Guesthouse just round the corner from all the shops, bars, restaurants and the lake, but set on a quiet street. Room was amazing and was spotless. Chris and Robyn were very welcoming. Breakfast was perfect, lots to choose from. The whose house is decorated and furnished to a high standard. Lovely garden to sit out in. Although the rooms were all booked, we only saw and heard people at breakfast so it felt like it was our own private getaway. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning

Beautiful home that is comfortable, spotlessly clean and close to everything. Just a short walk to lots of restaurants Parking is also a bonus in Bowness on Windermere which is a very busy area It like home away from home. Robyn and Chris will look after you well.

Just returned from our second stay at Oakfold House. The only difference from last year was the hosts Robyn and Chris, and they were brilliant. I don't think anyone could find fault with Oakfold House. It really is perfect! It is an absolutely charming property, managed to perfection. Comfortable, cosy, clean, quiet, and pretty. Situated in a great location, close to Windermere and Bowness. Great for walkers, sightseeing, relaxing and varied choices for food and drink within walking disrance. Really good breakfast choices, with vegetarian options available.

First time visiting Oakfold House. Arrived early, no issues at all with parking. The owners were very welcoming and pleasant, giving us all the information we needed for our stay. Our room was a king, with a bath and shower. It was spotlessly clean and everything you could possibly need was included in the room. The room itself was cosy and warm, and still had some original features such as a fireplace. The location of the guest house was very central to Bowness and Windermere. Breakfast was lovely, very tasty, fry up and continental available. We would definitely return to the guest house and would recommend to anyone who is visiting. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
