Hotel 5 stelle a Chennai

The location is good, the amenities, welcoming check in, the bell boy service, room service are all good, it did not impose at all. Breakfast was good too. The pros is that it's a really good hotel to stay in. The cons, I didn't catch any. The room facilities seem new and modern with a vintage aesthetic, it didn't hit me that this might be an old hotel till I went to the pool. The concierge that manages your rides and food deliveries are great too

Where do I begin? Travelling with a toddler is no easy task, and the team at Taj Connemara made it worthwhile, smooth, and exciting. It all began with Ms Jasmine who religiously followed up with all our requests and requirements for childproofing the Heritage Room we stayed. From additional mineral water bottles, bumpers on furniture, soft toys for bath, and an excellent baby cot, Ms Jasmine coordinated with her ground team and got everything ready before we checked in. The icing on the cake was the remarkable welcome gift for our daughter consisting of excellent baby skincare products from an established brand.  The stay itself was fantastic with a cosy room, abundance of toiletries, and exceptional breakfast. Shoutout to Mr Baskaran for attending to all our breakfast requests for our daughter. The baby dosa was a hit!  Located in a prime spot in Chennai next to Spencer Plaza and the newer EA Mall, Taj Connemara is strategic. Travel to major shopping centres and traditional clothing stores was made easy.  Last but not least, the hospitality and polite service offered by the staff of Taj Connemara was nothing short of amazing. They made our short trip to Chennai a memorable one and we look forward to coming again very soon!  Kudos to everyone at Taj Connemara for ensuring my family and I have a great time at your hotel.  Regards,  Linges

La nostra esperienza presso Pullman Anna Salai è stata piacevole e memorabile. L'hotel offre un ambiente confortevole e ben mantenuto, completato da un servizio cortese e attento dal personale. Mentre il soggiorno è stato in gran parte positivo, durante il pranzo è stato un incidente minore sconfortante, ma il personale ha gestito la situazione con cortesia e professionalità, che apprezziamo. Guardando in attesa di rimanere di nuovo.

Il cibo è buono per un hotel a 3 stelle, ma non è affatto al livello di un hotel a 5 stelle. Il personale è stato eccellente - soprattutto Sneha M. che aiuta gli ospiti nel lobby e offre soluzioni rapide ed efficaci, e anche un altro Sneha che lavora al ristorante. La musica 🎶 nel ristorante è la peggiore che abbia mai sentito in un hotel in India. Sono due tipi di musica (tradizionale indiana e anche occidentale) che vengono giocate contemporaneamente! E' ridicolo e irritante e troppo alto, per questo alcuni dei dipendenti sembrano miserabili. Il cuoco andava in giro per la sala da pranzo, scambiando piaceri con gli ospiti, ma doveva essere in cucina per controllare quello che c'è. Il ”chai masala” non aveva gusto di ginger e il latte era così bruciato che continuava a vaporizzare per un'ora (era imbevuto, quindi l'ho restituito). - Signor Presidente, signore. Le camere sono ciò che si aspetta di trovare in un hotel che è stato considerato lussuoso negli anni '90. Purtroppo, il sistema di condizionamento dell'aria è ancora l'originale e non può più essere regolato (solo può essere commutato o spostato).

Grand Chennai hotel with great location and hospitality. Live up to its name. I feel safe staying with family members in room 603 and 605. Thanks for the complimentary fine and delicious breakfast. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They helped me to carry my shopping bags to my room. I love Komal and Poushali both lovely receptionists at the front desk. The telephone operator is very kind to let me use the weighing scale. Live band and dance performance give a positve vibes.

Returning to this location after eight years, I was hoping for the same 5star experience I once enjoyed. Unfortunately, it’s not quite what it used to be, and the property is beginning to show its age. On a positive note, the staff were warm and courteous throughout—from the reception to the restaurant team. Their professionalism and friendliness was a highlight of the stay. The restaurant manager Nazim was helpful. However, the room was disappointing. Upon entering, there was a strong musty odor. When I mentioned this to the front desk, I was told all the rooms have this smell and that it would dissipate in about 10 minutes—but unfortunately, it lingered. It seems guests may simply become accustomed to it over time. Not me.. lol. The Colony restaurant offered a decent breakfast, though dinner not that much. It felt overcrowded and cramped, and the buffet menu was not the greatest, with food quality was just average. The key strengths of this location remain its convenient setting, friendly staff, and ample parking. With some updates and improvements, it could once again live up to its former reputation.

A good choice overall, with excellent cleanliness standards. The only area that needs improvement is the breakfast buffet. Compared to last year, the food quality seems to have declined. Even the filter coffee and tea have lost some of their original taste and authenticity. I hope the management will consider restoring the quality that made the dining experience so enjoyable in the past.

This is an excellent hotel. I stayed in other Tajs in Chennai  before. The hotel is the best value for money among Tajs in Chennai. This hotel does not offer guests any unwanted attention - which I always prefer. The breakfast was outstanding. Special thanks to Ms Ipshita, Mr Madan and Mr Tapas at the restaurant. They offered remarkable services. I will prefer this hotel in my next trip to Chennai.

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, room with excellent service in which we had dinner. Food was good, and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. The room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

The hotel is an excellent one. Only downside we found is that the swimming pool was a tad small. We were well taken care of. Look forward to staying there again.
