Hotel 3 stelle a Ipoh

After a very positive first night here, as a solo Thai traveler in Malaysia, I felt this hotel was so much like home. I felt safe and comfortable staying here, which is why I decided to stay a third night. Initially, after two nights, I considered changing hotels, but after thinking it over, I felt this one was the best. Although it might be a bit far for some, there's a bus stop right in front, just a short walk away. There are also restaurants nearby, and the hotel offers a sense of freedom with plenty of space downstairs to use. Plus, the air conditioning in the room was very comfortable, and the bed was so soft that I slept soundly. If I have the chance, I might stay here again in the future

The room was clean and tidy, and the front desk service was also good. There are plenty of dessert shops and late-night food options right across from the hotel. There is also a very famous strawberry daifuku shop nearby. The room is a little small, but considering the affordable price, everything else was quite good. However, the soundproofing was really poor, so I would recommend this hotel with caution if you are a light sleeper. On Saturday night, around midnight, people from 2–3 rooms next door started talking loudly in the corridor and knocking on doors repeatedly. This continued until around 12:30 AM. After we asked them to keep their voices down, they stopped talking loudly in the corridor, but we could still clearly hear repeated knocking, people kicking doors, and someone laughing very loudly. The noise was extremely loud and could be heard clearly from inside the room. We eventually went downstairs to complain to the hotel staff, but there were still occasional door-opening and knocking noises afterward. The noise continued until around 1:00 AM. Overall, the hotel itself was quite good, especially considering the price, but the poor soundproofing seriously affected our sleep quality.

For the price, I think it is a reasonable option.  However objectively: 1. The air-cons don't work well - one of them was leaking.  The staff was helpful in sending contractor to fix while we were out but due to miscommunication (because we have connecting rooms) the ”fix” was made to the air-con that wasn't leaking as badly as the one we complained about.  To be fair they offered to swap rooms but we are a family of 5 and it was a hassle to repack and move so we declined.  2. The hot water was very good despite some reviews.  However the shower head in one of the rooms were such that they don't stay put so occasional splashes happened.  3. One of the rooms wasn't cleaned (we have connecting room) - the ”make my room” card wasn't available in one of the room so we hung on just 1 of the room and left the connecting door open, thinking that the cleaners would clean both.  They only cleaned 1.  I guess we could have outright told reception instead of assuming that the cleaners will clean both rooms since we left the connecting door open.  4. I paid for extra bed - but the bedsheet was dusty - they changed it (or at least vacuumed it) after the first night.  5. The beds were quite comfortable, they offered free bottled water and coffee sachets, tv worked, fridges worked, rooms were decent sized, wifi was ok - ample street parking, the lights were ok but one of the rooms had stark white lights instead of the warmer ones. Location was good, just off the highway and across the eateries in Bercham.  6. The staff were helpful and friendly.  Despite the complaints they texted me and constantly called to check if we needed towels (because one of the room weren't cleaned) and they asked twice if we wanted to change rooms (we didn't because of reason stated above).  7. Suggestion - build a small ramp to go up to the hotel from the road if possible.  It will be helpful for luggage and older folks / wheelchairs etc.  All in all, it was a decent stay.  Price was competitive but cleanliness could be better - and air-con/shower heads can be better maintained. 

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a great stay here! The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the hotel had a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The facilities were also good, and everything was convenient and easy to access. Overall, I’m very satisfied with my stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others. Would happily stay here again!

Dalle chiavi alla checkout, tutto è andato bene. La stanza è pulita e bella. E il prezzo vale la pena con la vista della piscina. Molto efficiente e responsivo. Certamente scegliere questo posto di nuovo. La guardia di sicurezza fa bene anche il loro lavoro per cercare i bambini nella piscina di splash per assicurarsi che i bambini giocano in modo sicuro. 👍 👍

Trova una fantastica casa di vacanza autonoma; C'è un piccolo zoo· 🦌🦜🐒🐓; C'è una piccola biblioteca e una sala di ricezione 📖; Ci sono acqua purificata e una piccola cucina. Puoi anche chiedere alla ragazza indonesiana del front desk di mangiare per i piccoli animali. L'edificio isolato che abbiamo soggiornato ha due camere da letto e una camera da letto. La famiglia vive confortevolmente insieme.Il capo può comunicare fluentemente in cinese e inglese. Comunicate via WhatsApp prima di check-in, fortunatamente inviate la lettera di invito. E' molto ceremoniale! Had a good stay at M Boutique Hotel Ipoh! The room was clean, tidy, and smelled nice. The room size was just nice and comfortable for two people. The location is also really convenient. There’s a 99 Speedmart nearby, and Pakcik Wong Restaurant is just behind the hotel, so finding food is easy. It’s also close to AEON Mall, which makes it convenient for shopping and getting anything you need. Parking is public parking, so you’ll need to pay for the Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh parking, but other than that, everything was quite convenient. The staff were also friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, a nice and comfortable place to stay in Ipoh, especially if you’re looking for somewhere convenient and reasonably priced 👍

Overall Rating: ★★★☆☆ The apartment's biggest advantage is its excellent location. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and shopping options within walking distance, making it very convenient for families and larger groups. The host was responsive and replied promptly when we raised issues during our stay. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and maintenance of the property fell well below our expectations. We encountered ants throughout the apartment—including the living room, sofa, dining area, kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms—which made it difficult to enjoy our stay. Although the host provided insect spray after we reported the issue, the infestation was so widespread that spraying the entire apartment was neither practical nor a comfortable solution. Several areas were dusty, the curtains had a noticeable layer of dust, and the bedsheets and toilet rolls appeared old. We were also charged RM60 for an extra bedsheet for two nights, but the condition of the bedding did not justify the additional fee. The sofa showed signs of wear, and one of the ceiling fans was noisy during operation. For larger groups, please note that when someone showers upstairs, the downstairs bathroom cannot be used properly due to water pressure issues. We were informed that this affects every unit in the building, suggesting it is a known issue rather than an isolated incident. The facilities were also disappointing. The jacuzzi was unavailable during our stay and appeared to be non-functional, making it more decorative than usable. The host initially agreed to compensate us for the cleaning fee due to the cleanliness issues, but we did not receive any further update after that. Overall, the apartment has great potential because of its strategic location, but significant improvements in cleanliness, pest control, maintenance, and facility upkeep are needed before I could recommend it to others. Pros Excellent location with many restaurants, cafés, and shops nearby. Responsive communication from the host. Cons Widespread ant infestation throughout the apartment. Dusty environment, including dusty curtains. Old bedsheets, worn furniture, and additional bedding charges that did not reflect the quality provided. Noisy ceiling fan. Water pressure issue prevents simultaneous use of upstairs and downstairs bathrooms. Jacuzzi was not usable, just a decoration. Compensation for the cleaning issue was promised but never followed up.

Had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect for sightseeing, and the hotel staff made us feel at home. Rooms were clean, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed. I highly recommend it
