Clean. Nice selection of breakfast. The concierge was professional and helpful. The valet staff was very helpful with the taxis. The reception desk staff was not quite familiar with his work. 1. Couldn’t find my booking. 2. Miscalculated the number of nights to stay 3. Didn’t realize the room was prepaid and was going to charge again. But he acknowledged his mistakes.

Horrible Service – Not Worth the Price My experience at this hotel was terrible. The only good thing about it is its location and the fact that the rooms are well-decorated and clean. However, there are many issues that made our stay unpleasant. First, the hotel still uses traditional keys instead of automatic key cards, which is quite inconvenient. On our first night, we stayed on the third floor, but there was constant noise from the fourth floor, as if someone was dragging chairs non-stop. We tried calling reception around 2-3 AM, but no one picked up, and the noise continued throughout the night. The next day, we repeatedly requested housekeeping between 3:30-4:00 PM, but no one came. Our room remained messy, and they didn’t even provide fresh complimentary water, which is usually replenished daily. When we asked for water, they told us we had to pay extra. Only after I pointed out that our room hadn’t been cleaned did they finally send water. Breakfast was fine, but dinner was a disaster. We ordered the Royal Thali, which was served in a fancy silver plate, but the taste was disappointing. Anyone familiar with authentic desi flavors would agree that it was far from good. The portion sizes were small, and for the price they charge, even four-star hotels in Nepal provide much better service. The biggest issue is the staff's lack of professionalism, especially at night. If guests face any problems, they simply don’t care. This hotel needs serious improvement in customer service and staff training. I would not recommend staying here unless they make significant changes.

Ho avuto un soggiorno eccezionale all’Hotel Dusit Princess a Kathmandu! Dalla mia arrivo, il personale era incredibilmente benvenuto e attento, facendomi sentire a casa immediatamente. L'hotel è ben progettato, mescolando l'architettura moderna con un toccato di fascino nepalese tradizionale. La mia camera era spaziosa, pulita e dotata di frutta fresca e una cartolina di mano. La cena è stata eccellente, con una varietà di opzioni deliziose nel ristorante tailandese e nel bar al tetto. Ho avuto anche la possibilità di rilassarmi al centro fitness e spa dell'hotel, entrambi di topnotch. È stato davvero divertito l'uso della sauna e della stanza a vapore. La posizione è ideale anche, con facile accesso alle principali attrazioni e aree commerciali a Kathmandu. In generale, la principessa Dusit ha superato tutte le mie aspettative. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I was greeted with warm smiles and refreshing drinks. My room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and offered a stunning view — every detail was thoughtfully arranged for comfort and relaxation. The hotel’s amenities exceeded my expectations. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with a wide selection of fresh, flavorful options to suit every taste. The housekeeping team maintained everything perfectly throughout my stay. I also appreciated the quiet atmosphere and the excellent Wi-Fi connection, making it ideal for both leisure and work. What truly sets this hotel apart is the level of hospitality. Every team member went above and beyond to ensure I had a pleasant stay — from recommending local attractions to assisting with transportation. Overall, this hotel combines luxury, comfort, and genuine care in the best way possible. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area and can’t wait to return again soon!

Il nostro aereo è arrivato a Kathmandu alle 22:00, e ci è voluto un'eternità per passare il controllo immigrazione, così siamo usciti dall'aeroporto quasi alle 23:00. Avevamo inviato una email all'hotel in anticipo per richiedere il servizio navetta, e pensavamo che a quell'ora tarda e senza un numero di telefono per contattarci, non ci sarebbe stato nessuno ad aspettarci. Ma tra la folla di persone che aspettavano i taxi all'uscita, abbiamo visto il nostro nome su un cartello! È stata una sorpresa inaspettata e un'accoglienza molto calorosa per chi arriva in un posto nuovo! Ci hanno portati in hotel. La posizione è ottima, nel vivace cuore di Thamel, proprio sotto c'è un ristorante cinese. L'hotel è uno degli edifici più alti della zona, con un ristorante panoramico in vetro al 12° piano e una piscina e spa all'11° piano; il design è piuttosto audace. La colazione era buona! Anche il servizio era attento. È comodo per spostarsi, in 6 minuti di risciò si arriva a Durbar Square. La dimensione della camera era adeguata, ma avevamo chiesto un piano alto e ci è stato dato solo il quarto, il che è stato un po' deludente. Inoltre, c'era un forte odore di scarico dal bagno che, anche chiudendo la porta, si diffondeva nella stanza. Questo problema di odore è legato all'hardware e alla manutenzione e andrebbe migliorato. Per il resto, tutto bene!

The room made a decent first impression and did the bare minimum. But, it quickly became clear that it’s best suited for a very short stay. The bed was comfortable enough. Overall, the room is fine if you’re just passing through, but anything longer starts to feel like stretching it. Staff presence around the hotel was limited. They clearly run on a lean operation, which can go either way. The guard in front of the elevator stood out in the best possible way and added a genuinely warm, human touch, which helped balance things out. At check-in, I was given two complimentary cocktail coupons for the upstairs bar, which immediately lifted my spirits. This was a place I had enjoyed many times before and often recommended to friends and family. I had good memories of the atmosphere, the food, and the general vibe, so I went in with high hopes. In the past I had written raving 5-star reviews of their restaurant food and amazing service! Unfortunately, the experience that followed didn’t live up to those expectations. What should have been a simple, enjoyable night out unraveled into confusion and unwelcoming interactions. Small moments piled up, the mood shifted, and it became clear that the experience had gone off the rails. Rather than force it, my group and I decided to take our time and money elsewhere. Sometimes you read the room and move on. I returned to the hotel later that night and stayed over. Took a hot shower in the morning, loved the smell of their body wash, btw! Another brief interaction during checkout reinforced the same theme: rigid, abrupt, and lacking the kind of hospitality that makes guests feel welcome. All in all, it’s disappointing to see a place I once enjoyed and freely recommended lose its consistency and warmth. I’m no longer comfortable recommending it, and I’m not sure I would choose to return. As for the unused cocktail coupon, I still have it. Any takers?

Nice Old Hotel, Great Staff with few needs to improve. Swimming pool is totally disappointment. Better to shut down, than keep running and not swimmable, waist of energy. The water is dirty, no star at all. The lobby, the room and Ghurka bar are still great. 2 power shutdowns in 1 day, I believe they are struggling with power shortages due to dark lounges. Breakfast was so so, coffee or tea should be not a challenge to serve first, sometimes took half of meal before they come. Many Tables are not stable and aligned, egg can easily roll over to other side. Atleast 3 tables on my experience. Room is comfortable, nice bed and always fresh linen. Only noisy from AC , maintenance team came twice on my room to fix, though transfer was offered on my last 2 days. Managers should not standing in buffet line, either they should help the line staffs or directing the team, talking business in public is not of our guests concern. Front desk Trainee, has good presence, I thought first he is manager. A lot can be improved and polished, the hotel has a great potential, nice design, great facilities and great staffs. I wish that management should look all themselves and review those small details.

After several trips to Nepal, I finally decided to treat myself with a stay at the famous Kathmandu Guest House. So glad I did. So much peace, grace, charm and beauty .. and of course, the history!

Hotel confortevole e funzionale, a pochi passi dall'aeroporto. Molto consigliato per soggiorni brevi. Buon colazione con frutta e opzioni calde.

Il servizio dell'hotel è molto professionale, la colazione è ricco e il servizio della ricetta è molto attento.Dice che vuole acqua, è presto inviata.E l'hotel ha un vento elettrico e acqua calda per lavastoviglie è molto comoda. Molti cinesi sono andati a cercare cibo cinese altrove, e ho scoperto che il cibo cinese più autista era al nove piani di sopra dell'hotel.E il cioccolato Brownie qui era molto autista.Dovevo mangiare con il ghiaccio. Ho proposto di mangiare caldo. L'hotel ha immediatamente fatto un gelato caldo. C'è un mercato agricolo e commerciale più grande di Gardmond accanto all'hotel, sei mele grandi e meno di 20 yuan di yuan.Qualsiasi frutta di verdura può essere comprata qui.
