Clean. Nice selection of breakfast. The concierge was professional and helpful. The valet staff was very helpful with the taxis. The reception desk staff was not quite familiar with his work. 1. Couldn’t find my booking. 2. Miscalculated the number of nights to stay 3. Didn’t realize the room was prepaid and was going to charge again. But he acknowledged his mistakes.

Horrible Service – Not Worth the Price My experience at this hotel was terrible. The only good thing about it is its location and the fact that the rooms are well-decorated and clean. However, there are many issues that made our stay unpleasant. First, the hotel still uses traditional keys instead of automatic key cards, which is quite inconvenient. On our first night, we stayed on the third floor, but there was constant noise from the fourth floor, as if someone was dragging chairs non-stop. We tried calling reception around 2-3 AM, but no one picked up, and the noise continued throughout the night. The next day, we repeatedly requested housekeeping between 3:30-4:00 PM, but no one came. Our room remained messy, and they didn’t even provide fresh complimentary water, which is usually replenished daily. When we asked for water, they told us we had to pay extra. Only after I pointed out that our room hadn’t been cleaned did they finally send water. Breakfast was fine, but dinner was a disaster. We ordered the Royal Thali, which was served in a fancy silver plate, but the taste was disappointing. Anyone familiar with authentic desi flavors would agree that it was far from good. The portion sizes were small, and for the price they charge, even four-star hotels in Nepal provide much better service. The biggest issue is the staff's lack of professionalism, especially at night. If guests face any problems, they simply don’t care. This hotel needs serious improvement in customer service and staff training. I would not recommend staying here unless they make significant changes.

Ho avuto un soggiorno eccezionale all’Hotel Dusit Princess a Kathmandu! Dalla mia arrivo, il personale era incredibilmente benvenuto e attento, facendomi sentire a casa immediatamente. L'hotel è ben progettato, mescolando l'architettura moderna con un toccato di fascino nepalese tradizionale. La mia camera era spaziosa, pulita e dotata di frutta fresca e una cartolina di mano. La cena è stata eccellente, con una varietà di opzioni deliziose nel ristorante tailandese e nel bar al tetto. Ho avuto anche la possibilità di rilassarmi al centro fitness e spa dell'hotel, entrambi di topnotch. È stato davvero divertito l'uso della sauna e della stanza a vapore. La posizione è ideale anche, con facile accesso alle principali attrazioni e aree commerciali a Kathmandu. In generale, la principessa Dusit ha superato tutte le mie aspettative. Il servizio, le strutture e l'atmosfera erano tutti impeccabili, e non esitavo a rimanere qui di nuovo. Molto consiglia per chiunque visita Kathmandu!

Il nostro aereo è arrivato a Kathmandu alle 22:00, e ci è voluto un'eternità per passare il controllo immigrazione, così siamo usciti dall'aeroporto quasi alle 23:00. Ma tra la folla di persone che aspettavano i taxi all'uscita, abbiamo visto il nostro nome su un cartello! È stata una sorpresa inaspettata e un'accoglienza molto calorosa per chi arriva in un posto nuovo! Ci hanno portati in hotel. La posizione è ottima, nel vivace cuore di Thamel, proprio sotto c'è un ristorante cinese. L'hotel è uno degli edifici più alti della zona, con un ristorante panoramico in vetro al 12° piano e una piscina e spa all'11° piano; il design è piuttosto audace. La colazione era buona! Anche il servizio era attento. È comodo per spostarsi, in 6 minuti di risciò si arriva a Durbar Square. La dimensione della camera era adeguata, ma avevamo chiesto un piano alto e ci è stato dato solo il quarto, il che è stato un po' deludente. Inoltre, c'era un forte odore di scarico dal bagno che, anche chiudendo la porta, si diffondeva nella stanza. Questo problema di odore è legato all'hardware e alla manutenzione e andrebbe migliorato. Per il resto, tutto bene!

Il materasso e i cuscini avevano un odore pessimo come se non fossero stati sostituiti da un paio d'anni. Il cibo nel bar Zing nella hall era proprio così. Il tavolo di plastica copre generalmente pieno di residui di cibo senza cambiarlo frequentemente. Durante il soggiorno di 7 giorni, il servizio alla reception, al ristorante e per la nostra camera era comunque nel complesso all'altezza dello standard di un hotel a 5 stelle.

La stanza è molto più piccola del previsto e anche il bagno ha qualche margine di miglioramento. Può darsi che gli stessi prodotti in Cina siano di un livello più alto e la colazione non sia così ricca come in Cina. Ti sentirai meglio se sei preparato mentalmente. Non ho grandi aspettative per l'ambiente urbano di quella città, considerando il rapporto qualità-prezzo dei negozi circostanti, è abbastanza buono, quindi ho dato questa valutazione.

The room made a decent first impression and did the bare minimum. But, it quickly became clear that it’s best suited for a very short stay. The bed was comfortable enough. Overall, the room is fine if you’re just passing through, but anything longer starts to feel like stretching it. Staff presence around the hotel was limited. They clearly run on a lean operation, which can go either way. The guard in front of the elevator stood out in the best possible way and added a genuinely warm, human touch, which helped balance things out. At check-in, I was given two complimentary cocktail coupons for the upstairs bar, which immediately lifted my spirits. This was a place I had enjoyed many times before and often recommended to friends and family. I had good memories of the atmosphere, the food, and the general vibe, so I went in with high hopes. In the past I had written raving 5-star reviews of their restaurant food and amazing service! Unfortunately, the experience that followed didn’t live up to those expectations. What should have been a simple, enjoyable night out unraveled into confusion and unwelcoming interactions. Small moments piled up, the mood shifted, and it became clear that the experience had gone off the rails. Rather than force it, my group and I decided to take our time and money elsewhere. Sometimes you read the room and move on. I returned to the hotel later that night and stayed over. Took a hot shower in the morning, loved the smell of their body wash, btw! Another brief interaction during checkout reinforced the same theme: rigid, abrupt, and lacking the kind of hospitality that makes guests feel welcome. All in all, it’s disappointing to see a place I once enjoyed and freely recommended lose its consistency and warmth. I’m no longer comfortable recommending it, and I’m not sure I would choose to return. As for the unused cocktail coupon, I still have it. Any takers?

Belle vecchie camere, grandi personale con pochi bisogni per migliorare. La piscina è del tutto deludente. Meglio chiudere, che continuare a correre e non nuotare, una perdita di energia. Due chiusure di energia in un giorno, credo che stiano combattendo con la carenza di energia dovuta alle camere oscure. Il colazione era così, il caffè o il tè non dovrebbe essere una sfida da servire prima, a volte ha preso metà del pasto prima di arrivare. Molte tavole non sono stabili e allineate, le uova possono facilmente passare dall'altra parte. Almeno tre tavole sulla mia esperienza. La camera è confortevole, bella e sempre fresca. Solo rumoroso da AC , la squadra di manutenzione è venuta due volte nella mia stanza per riparare, anche se il trasferimento è stato offerto nei miei ultimi due giorni. I manager non dovrebbero stare in linea di buffet, sia aiutare il personale della linea o dirigere il team, parlare in pubblico non è di nostra preoccupazione. Il fornitore di servizio frontale, ha una buona presenza, ho pensato di essere il manager. Molti possono essere migliorati e puliti, l'hotel ha un grande potenziale, un design bello, grandi strutture e personale, e vorrei che la gestione si riflettesse su tutti e riesamini i dettagli.
