Hotel con colazione a Kathmandu

Questo hotel è un'esperienza da solo! Se vuoi vivere in un posto antico come con mattoni di legno e tagli di legno.. questo è il posto! La cena è molto deliziosa! E naturalmente un personale amichevole e utile. Ma noti che non c'è AC, nessuna attrezzatura oltre a sapone e carta da bagno. Questo è parte della concezione ecologica di questo hotel.

Assolutamente innamorato dell'hotel. Da check-in all' check-out, ci hanno assistito un grande personale. Ci sono stati prima accolti con una scarpa/sciaia/vestita e abbiamo dato un drink benvenuto. Il bagaglio è stato inviato alla stanza per noi e il colazione è stato davvero buono!! Anche noi abbiamo avuto un bel tempo. La stanza era davvero pulita e spaziosa! Guarda dalla stanza era anche buona! Spa non era grande, non valeva il prezzo, ma mi consiglierei di rimanere in questo hotel.

If you're staying in Kathmandu, this hotel is a good choice. The best thing about it is that it's a new hotel (opening in 2024). Everyone, including the staff, spa staff, and breakfast staff, is very cooperative. Also, everything is well-maintained, including the showers and toilets in the rooms, Wi-Fi, electronic key cards, and internet TV. I'm sorry to say that other hotels tend to be a little older, with broken, slightly dirty, or non-working electronic devices. Il nostro aereo è arrivato a Kathmandu alle 22:00, e ci è voluto un'eternità per passare il controllo immigrazione, così siamo usciti dall'aeroporto quasi alle 23:00. La posizione è ottima, nel vivace cuore di Thamel, proprio sotto c'è un ristorante cinese. L'hotel è uno degli edifici più alti della zona, con un ristorante panoramico in vetro al 12° piano e una piscina e spa all'11° piano; il design è piuttosto audace. La colazione era buona! Anche il servizio era attento. È comodo per spostarsi, in 6 minuti di risciò si arriva a Durbar Square. La dimensione della camera era adeguata, ma avevamo chiesto un piano alto e ci è stato dato solo il quarto, il che è stato un po' deludente. Inoltre, c'era un forte odore di scarico dal bagno che, anche chiudendo la porta, si diffondeva nella stanza. Questo problema di odore è legato all'hardware e alla manutenzione e andrebbe migliorato. Per il resto, tutto bene!

La stanza è molto più piccola del previsto e anche il bagno ha qualche margine di miglioramento. Può darsi che gli stessi prodotti in Cina siano di un livello più alto e la colazione non sia così ricca come in Cina. Ti sentirai meglio se sei preparato mentalmente. Non ho grandi aspettative per l'ambiente urbano di quella città, considerando il rapporto qualità-prezzo dei negozi circostanti, è abbastanza buono, quindi ho dato questa valutazione.

The room made a decent first impression and did the bare minimum. But, it quickly became clear that it’s best suited for a very short stay. The bed was comfortable enough. Overall, the room is fine if you’re just passing through, but anything longer starts to feel like stretching it. Staff presence around the hotel was limited. They clearly run on a lean operation, which can go either way. The guard in front of the elevator stood out in the best possible way and added a genuinely warm, human touch, which helped balance things out. At check-in, I was given two complimentary cocktail coupons for the upstairs bar, which immediately lifted my spirits. This was a place I had enjoyed many times before and often recommended to friends and family. I had good memories of the atmosphere, the food, and the general vibe, so I went in with high hopes. In the past I had written raving 5-star reviews of their restaurant food and amazing service! Unfortunately, the experience that followed didn’t live up to those expectations. What should have been a simple, enjoyable night out unraveled into confusion and unwelcoming interactions. Small moments piled up, the mood shifted, and it became clear that the experience had gone off the rails. Rather than force it, my group and I decided to take our time and money elsewhere. Sometimes you read the room and move on. I returned to the hotel later that night and stayed over. Took a hot shower in the morning, loved the smell of their body wash, btw! Another brief interaction during checkout reinforced the same theme: rigid, abrupt, and lacking the kind of hospitality that makes guests feel welcome. All in all, it’s disappointing to see a place I once enjoyed and freely recommended lose its consistency and warmth. I’m no longer comfortable recommending it, and I’m not sure I would choose to return. As for the unused cocktail coupon, I still have it. Any takers?

Sono rimasto per 2 notti, non mi sentivo sicuro come una sola donna che viaggiava. Una volta la prima notte circa le 11:00 ci erano 3-4 uomini urlando e ridendo e mi hanno tagliato la porta. Mi sono spaventato e mi sono chiamato la ricezione. Il telefono non era collegato al telefono, devo tenerlo stretto al telefono mentre parlavo. Era una terribile esperienza. Quando in emergenza nemmeno il telefono funzionava! il ricevitore ha preso 30 minuti per far calmare gli uomini. Il giorno dopo, il ricevitore mi disse che gli uomini si erano trasferiti. Ma li ho visti la sera all'hotel. Non mi sentivo al sicuro. Ancora, gli uomini, urlando e alti. Anche se non riuscivo a dormire lì, svegliato per due notti, non mi sentivo al sicuro. Il posto era pulito, la posizione era buona.

In the heart of Thamel, little oasis in the chaos of Thamel. Cable TV, large comfortable rooms and bed. A total pleasure to stay there. There's bars around that are a little noisy but by midnight it usually stops . They have earplugs if your sensitive to sound. Well worth the money to stay here.

I had a wonderful stay at Funky Monkey Hostel Hotel Apartment in Thamel, Kathmandu. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Thamel, making it very convenient to explore nearby restaurants, shops, tourist attractions, and nightlife. Despite being in such a lively area, the accommodation offers a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were one of the best parts of my stay. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with any questions or requests. They made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived and provided great suggestions for sightseeing, transportation, and activities around Kathmandu. The rooms and common areas were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The hostel has a friendly and social environment, making it easy to meet other travelers while still having enough space to relax. The facilities were convenient, and the overall atmosphere felt safe and enjoyable. I especially appreciated the great value for money. Whether you are traveling solo, with friends, as a couple, or with family, Funky Monkey is a fantastic choice for staying in Thamel. Overall, I had an amazing experience and would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend Funky Monkey Hostel Hotel Apartment to anyone visiting Kathmandu!
