Fantastico
UUraluL'hotel era molto pulito e confortevole. Il personale era estremamente amichevole e utile con tutto quello che avevo bisogno. La posizione è perfetta, vicino a Tamel e molti ristoranti e negozi, ma ancora abbastanza tranquillo per riposare bene. Mi è piaciuto davvero il mio soggiorno qui e lo consiglierei assolutamente ad altri viaggiatori che visitano Katmandu.

LLita DitaHo trascorso un soggiorno fantastico in questo hotel! Le camere erano pulite, confortevoli e dotate di tutto il necessario per un soggiorno rilassante. Il personale è stato cordiale e sempre disponibile, facendomi sentire a mio agio fin dal mio arrivo. Considerando il prezzo, la qualità del servizio e dei comfort ha superato le mie aspettative. Anche la posizione era comoda, rendendo facile esplorare la zona. Nel complesso, questo hotel offre un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo e lo consiglio vivamente a chiunque cerchi un soggiorno confortevole e conveniente.

UUtente ospiteHo avuto un soggiorno incredibile e ho prolungato altre due notti. Il GM e il personale sono super utile e orientato al cliente. La stanza è spaziosa. Il yoga mattina è incluso e l'insegnante di yoga maschile è fenomenale. La pratica di yoga è all'interno del monastero. L'ubicazione è un altro vantaggio. È passeggiata a piedi dalla Boudha Stupa che mi permette di camminare lì poche volte al giorno. Nel contempo, è in una fine tranquilla morta. Infine, potrebbe essere utile per qualcuno che desidera disabilitare digitalmente perché il wifi non funziona troppo bene . Solo un server si trova vicino alla scala nel mio edificio. Se la vostra stanza è lontana da esso, il segnale è ovviamente problematico.

UUtente ospiteL'Hotel Barahi Kathmandu è in una posizione ideale, a piedi da grandi monumenti in Thamal, siti turistici come il Giardino dei Sogni e l'ex Palazzo Reale.
Il personale dell'hotel era così amichevole, impegnativo e utile. L'hotel dispone di una piscina al livello 7 con grandi viste su Kathmandu. L'unica carenza con la piscina è che è circondata dal ristorante, quindi nessuno nuota in essa.
La camera era bella, molto felice con la pulizia e il servizio, l'unica carenza con la camera era che si ritrova nella zona di servizio per il personale che lavoravano tutti molto duramente, ma c'era un bell'angoscia e un suono tutta la notte e la mattina.

UUtente ospiteWe knew the service would be good as soon as we booked, and within hours we received a welcome email, listing the ways we could contact them if we needed to.
On the pick up at the airport, they were speedy and efficient and the taxi ride only took us 20 minutes with traffic.
As we walked through the door we were blown away by the interior decoration, only then to find that hotel had been a former palace!
Historic artifacts and pictures were strewn through the hallways and the outside only matched the royal feel with perfection.
We stayed in the royal suite, with a big bed and balcony. The staff were great, the breakfast was standard for off peak times and although the location isn't in the depth of Thamel, the area most will go out for eating and drinking, it was within 30 minutes drive of most landmarks and as it was the ambassedy/ office worker area, there was a nice vibe.
There were some things that can't be controlled. The hotel did a good job of providing heat as the weather in February is still chilly.
The pollution was real. Especially as you walk nearer the streets, something to think about if you are sensitive to this. Apart from that, It was all really wonderful. Niraj Yadav the receptionist and the team, we thank you dearly.

CChuanxilaolvLa stanza è molto più piccola del previsto e anche il bagno ha qualche margine di miglioramento. Può darsi che gli stessi prodotti in Cina siano di un livello più alto e la colazione non sia così ricca come in Cina. Ti sentirai meglio se sei preparato mentalmente. Non ho grandi aspettative per l'ambiente urbano di quella città, considerando il rapporto qualità-prezzo dei negozi circostanti, è abbastanza buono, quindi ho dato questa valutazione.

UUtente anonimoLocation is alright, there’s occasional cockroaches running past you when you are in the room, cleanliness has a lot to improve on. Worst part is that I booked a single room and was given a room next to the elevator with a window without curtain, anyone tall enough would be able to look into my room and everything in it, to add on to that, the room was next to the elevator and you can hear every footstep and noise/chat coming from the corridor, and when the elevator moves, there’s this super unnecessary music that runs with it so you would get a sense of that throughout the day and night. When I went to the receptionist to ask for a different room, she told me there’s no other rooms available and I have to pay an extra 1500 rupee to upgrade to a different room, that amount, adding with the original I paid for- would already be much higher than a standard deluxe room. Obviously she and the hotel was trying to scam me by leveraging on giving a super lousy room at first. Even though they eventually agreed to change room for me at no charge, I was honestly traumatised by this hotel and was uncomfortable through the stay. Then at check-out in the next morning, the guy was reluctant to let me go asking if I had already paid and making calls to confirm about it. Overall there’s surely better rooms for similar price in Thamel, so do try to skip this hotel unless you like some good memorable reasons to spoil your trip.

UUtente ospiteThe room made a decent first impression and did the bare minimum. But, it quickly became clear that it’s best suited for a very short stay. The bed was comfortable enough. Overall, the room is fine if you’re just passing through, but anything longer starts to feel like stretching it.
Staff presence around the hotel was limited. They clearly run on a lean operation, which can go either way. The guard in front of the elevator stood out in the best possible way and added a genuinely warm, human touch, which helped balance things out.
At check-in, I was given two complimentary cocktail coupons for the upstairs bar, which immediately lifted my spirits. This was a place I had enjoyed many times before and often recommended to friends and family. I had good memories of the atmosphere, the food, and the general vibe, so I went in with high hopes. In the past I had written raving 5-star reviews of their restaurant food and amazing service!
Unfortunately, the experience that followed didn’t live up to those expectations. What should have been a simple, enjoyable night out unraveled into confusion and unwelcoming interactions. Small moments piled up, the mood shifted, and it became clear that the experience had gone off the rails. Rather than force it, my group and I decided to take our time and money elsewhere. Sometimes you read the room and move on.
I returned to the hotel later that night and stayed over. Took a hot shower in the morning, loved the smell of their body wash, btw!
Another brief interaction during checkout reinforced the same theme: rigid, abrupt, and lacking the kind of hospitality that makes guests feel welcome.
All in all, it’s disappointing to see a place I once enjoyed and freely recommended lose its consistency and warmth. I’m no longer comfortable recommending it, and I’m not sure I would choose to return.
As for the unused cocktail coupon, I still have it. Any takers?

UUtente ospiteSono rimasto per 2 notti, non mi sentivo sicuro come una sola donna che viaggiava. Una volta la prima notte circa le 11:00 ci erano 3-4 uomini urlando e ridendo e mi hanno tagliato la porta. Mi sono spaventato e mi sono chiamato la ricezione. Il telefono non era collegato al telefono, devo tenerlo stretto al telefono mentre parlavo. Era una terribile esperienza. Quando in emergenza nemmeno il telefono funzionava! il ricevitore ha preso 30 minuti per far calmare gli uomini. Il giorno dopo, il ricevitore mi disse che gli uomini si erano trasferiti. Ma li ho visti la sera all'hotel. Non mi sentivo al sicuro. Ancora, gli uomini, urlando e alti. Anche se non riuscivo a dormire lì, svegliato per due notti, non mi sentivo al sicuro. Il posto era pulito, la posizione era buona.
