"Sono stato molto contento con l'hotel e il servizio. Ho prenotato una stanza per due giorni, ma ho prolungato il mio soggiorno per altri due, perché non volevo lasciare il posto letteralmente. Shuibei Atour S è idealmente situato per chiunque visita il mercato d'oro. Non dovrai viaggiare da nessuna parte, prendi la metropolitana o Uber; tutto è entro un raggio 100-meter. MMasalHKAbbiamo soggiornato qui per una notte mentre guardavamo uno spettacolo al Guangming Arts and Culture Centre.
La posizione è perfetta, proprio accanto alla fermata della metropolitana Fenghuang Town sulla linea 6. È anche in cima al centro commerciale Wanda Plaza e di fronte al Mira Land Mall, entrambi enormi centri commerciali. Il centro Arts & Culture è facilmente raggiungibile in 10 minuti a piedi.
Abbiamo soggiornato in una Guest King Room che era enorme. Tutti i nuovi accessori di alta qualità. Letto comodo.
La colazione era abbondante e di buona qualità, anche se principalmente con selezioni cinesi, come ci si potrebbe aspettare.

There are hotels you visit, and then there are hotels that leave an imprint on your soul. The Mandarin Oriental, Shenzhen, belongs firmly and unequivocally in the latter category. From the moment I stepped into its soaring lobby, I knew this would be one of those stays that redefines what luxury hospitality means.
Arrival and Reception
First impressions matter, and the reception team at the Mandarin Oriental understands this with an almost intuitive grace. Jason Zhu greeted me with the kind of warmth that felt less like a rehearsed welcome and more like being received by an old friend who just happens to have impeccable professional instincts. His attention to detail was extraordinary — he had noted my preferences before I could voice them, and the check-in process was so seamless it barely registered as a process at all. Sicily and Marsh were equally outstanding, always present at just the right moments with a smile, a helpful suggestion, or a thoughtful gesture. Together, the three of them set a tone of effortless elegance that carried through every hour of my stay. In a city as fast-paced and forward-looking as Shenzhen, there is something deeply reassuring about a reception team that makes you feel as though time has slowed down just for you.
The Club Skyline View Room
If the lobby whispered luxury, the Club Skyline View Room declared it in full voice. Perched high above the glittering sprawl of Shenzhen, the room offered a panorama that genuinely stopped me in my tracks. Floor-to-ceiling windows framed the city's dazzling skyline — a forest of illuminated towers stretching toward the horizon, the lights of Futian and beyond shimmering like an earthbound constellation. I found myself drawn to the window repeatedly, at golden hour, at twilight, and again in the deep hours of the night, each time discovering a different mood and a different kind of beauty.
The room itself was a masterclass in refined design. The palette was calm and sophisticated, with rich textures and thoughtful layering that felt contemporary yet timeless in the way the Mandarin Oriental has always done best. The bed was, simply put, superb — the kind of bed that makes you reconsider every mattress you have ever slept on and find them all wanting. Linens were crisp and impossibly soft. The bathroom was a sanctuary of marble and glass, generously appointed with the brand's signature amenities, and the soaking tub positioned near the window offered what might be one of the finest bathing experiences in southern China. Every detail, from the lighting controls to the turndown service to the quiet hum of climate perfection, spoke of a property that understands the difference between filling a room with expensive things and creating a genuine sense of place and comfort.
The Mandarin Club
Accessing the Mandarin Club elevated an already exceptional stay into something truly rarefied. The lounge itself is a beautifully curated space — serene, sophisticated, and blessed with those same sweeping skyline views that make this property so special. But what transforms the Club from a lovely room with good canapés into a genuinely memorable experience is its people.
Chelsea Zhou is a revelation and deserves a special mention. Her hospitality instincts are pitch-perfect; she anticipated needs I hadn't yet articulated, and managed to be attentive without ever being intrusive — a balance that even the finest hotels in the world struggle to achieve. Priscilla Pang was equally impressive, radiating a genuine kindness and professionalism that made every interaction a pleasure. Whether it was the afternoon tea service, or the evening menu and cocktails, Chelsea and Priscilla ensured that every moment in the Club felt personal, polished, and quietly luxurious. I returned to the lounge far more often than I had planned, not just for the excellent food and drink,

- Both our rooms at level 10 were relatively close to each other facing the Wong Tee Plaza. It might be a way of the said front desk staff allocating these rooms to us to compensate for our unpleasant check in experience (see below). Spectacular views and we managed to spectate the night light show on Saturday without needing to go to the Civic Centre.
- Facilities are great including 24-hour well equipped gym and sauna (best of all hotels in China we experienced so far).
- Rooms are relatively new and fully equipped with necessities, has a dyson air dryer, Toto automatic toilet, automated curtains and a steamer to iron the clothes.
- Breakfast had a lot of varieties to offer (personally loved the oden and sushi section), good service too.
- Housekeeping was amazing. As I was leaving my room, Joy asked if we were interested in their laundry services and we declined as we do not have much laundry to do.
After the first day of housekeeping, she noticed we did simple laundry (1-2 pieces of undergarment) and offered us a complimentary mini laundry detergent. We appreciate her thoughtfulness despite the fact that we initially declined her services.
- Check out was relatively seamless, I believe it was the front office manager that managed our check out and explained the deposit refund procedures accordingly.
- Concierge was decent too as they suggested we are better off getting a Didi to transfer our move to our next destination, and helped us load our bags to the Didi.
Cons
The only downside experience was check in. We requested if it would be possible to have interconnecting rooms (all good if not, at least as close to each other as possible within the same floor). We were advised that given interconnecting rooms are not available for the same type of rooms:
1.The staff provided an offer (upgrade to one of the bigger rooms that has interconnecting room with free 3 days hotel breakfast for 2 out of 4 pax). The quote/offer was outside of our budget hence we declined the offer and we just accept our original booking via Trip.com with no interconnecting rooms.
2.After we declined, the staff informed us that she miscalculated the price (from RMB 31k down to RMB 20k) for the same offer. This is very odd/confusing to us especially with the price difference due to miscalculation, and she was trying to push this offer to us again which we declined. At this point, whatever price quoted to us of this offer lost its credibility and we proceeded to stick to our original booking.
3.The staff said that she will notify us via WeChat (she added us on WeChat) once the room is ready. Understood at that time it was before check in time (i.e. before 3pm) hence we decided to grab lunch and come back after the check in time.
It was past 3pm and we heard nothing from her upon returning to hotel and had to approach the front desk to ask for an update. The same staff managed to provide us key card for one of the rooms while the other room is still not ready (it was past 3:20pm at that time). She said that she will arrange one of her coworkers to deliver the keycards to us once that other room is ready. Around 3:50-4:20pm, we heard nothing (I walked past the other room and noted the housekeeping has finished cleaning up the room and left). I had to go to the front desk to request an update and eventually obtained the keycard.
I am not sure if the above stems from the individual's motivation or if this is part of the hotel's standard procedure to aggressively upsell (even if we already said no) or if the front desk is pressured to meet monthly KPIs, but that left us an unpleasant check in experience and obviously did not represent the check in hospitality standards of the hotel itself.
Aside from the check in, we loved everything hence we had to give 4 out of 5.

UUtente ospiteHad a great stay here, amazing room, surprisingly affordable and tasty food in the restaurants, but for the price of the rooms the service and a few other things could be better.
Good points:
- very big and interesting room, comfortable with good views
- private beach that doesn’t feel crowded even on a busy weekend
- food in the restaurants was fresh and surprisingly good value for the quality
- massage there was tough but really good!
- some members of staff were very attentive while others were just there not doing much.
- really nice facilities overall
Could be better:
- not much of a welcome at check-in
- the dim sum at breakfast was good but overall the breakfast was limited and the same each day. For a HKD$3000+ room I’d expected this to be better. Also their table management needs to be better as someone took our table and then we were taken to another table…which we later found out was someone else’s 😆
- the yacht trip is a non-event. You just slowly go around the corner and slowly come back. Just good for those that have never been on a yacht to take photos. I think one of the guests was even taking photos to advertise a drink online while she was there
- can’t order F&B on the beach or the loungers. Would have been a perfect spot for a cocktail and some snacks!
- it’s an isolated location and the hotel doesn’t help you find your way out. Best to book in advance if possible.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay but have mixed feelings because of some points that missed the mark.

UUtente ospiteMi sono innamorato del Langham sin dal mio primo soggiorno a Los Angeles, poi sono stato al Langham di Guangzhou la seconda volta, e Shenzhen è stata la terza. La cosa che mi ha colpito di più questa volta è stata l'incredibile insonorizzazione dell'hotel! La camera era spaziosa e ben attrezzata, con un design intelligente. Anche se ho scattato solo due foto, non riesco a descrivere quanto mi sia piaciuto! Mi hanno dato una stanza vicino agli ascensori, e temevo il rumore, avrei voluto chiedere di cambiarla alla reception ma erano al completo, quindi ho dovuto restare lì. Ma ho dormito davvero benissimo! Solo quando arrivavo alla porta della mia stanza sentivo occasionalmente un leggero 'ding' dell'ascensore, e non si sentivano le voci delle persone nel corridoio, così silenzioso! Troppo confortevole! Ho fatto un breve giro nella lounge, non era buona come quella di Guangzhou, ma comunque sufficiente~ C'erano tantissimi stranieri, hahaha, ci tornerò di sicuro!

UUtente ospiteA causa di un ritardo del volo, siamo arrivati in hotel solo a notte fonda. Desideriamo esprimere la nostra gratitudine al personale della reception che ha gestito il nostro check-in con grande rapidità.
Durante il soggiorno, sia per il servizio in camera che per le ordinazioni di cibo, l'atteggiamento del personale e la velocità di risposta sono stati 'accettabili', in linea con gli standard che ci si aspetta da un hotel di qualità. Un elogio speciale va al dettaglio della 'frutta di benvenuto': la prima sera, non essendo stata consegnata a causa dell'ora tarda, al momento del check-out ne abbiamo fatto menzione e l'hotel ha pensato di prepararci una porzione da portare via. Questo piccolo gesto, pieno di scuse e buona volontà, ha notevolmente migliorato la nostra percezione del servizio e dimostra l'attenzione dell'hotel alle esigenze dei propri ospiti.
Vorrei anche segnalare alcune aree di miglioramento, nella speranza che l'hotel possa intervenire:
Esperienza sensoriale non ottimale: Il sistema di profumazione nella hall dell'hotel, forse pensato per creare un'atmosfera lussuosa, aveva un aroma decisamente troppo intenso, causandoci disagio data la nostra sensibilità agli odori. Avremmo voluto goderci la vista della città dal salotto della hall, ma abbiamo dovuto andarcene prima del previsto a causa del profumo troppo forte. Inoltre, l'intero corridoio che conduce alle camere era illuminato in modo molto fioco; sebbene il design fosse ricercato, l'effetto era un po' opprimente e cupo, privo di un'atmosfera calda e luminosa.
Problemi hardware in camera: Nella nostra camera abbiamo riscontrato un problema non trascurabile: la finestra presentava delle perdite quando pioveva. Sebbene la situazione non fosse grave e non abbia compromesso il nostro sonno o le aree principali di attività.

UUtente anonimoWe stayed two nights over the Easter holidays and overall had a nice experience, with a few notable downsides.
The highlight is definitely the high-floor room (45–56 floors) with a fantastic view of Shenzhen Bay. Waking up to that view was a treat. The hotel is located in what feels like a business / science and technology district, which became very quiet during the holidays—something we actually appreciated. The staff are friendly.
Despite the MTR exit being right at the hotel, there is also a proper covered pickup and drop-off area, making it very convenient for DiDi. This made getting around effortless.
The room itself was modern and comfortable. We loved the cool glass-enclosed bathtub design and the proper, well-equipped shower. Greafuly bath salt was included.
That said, a few things held the experience back:
•Soundproofing is poor, as mentioned in other reviews. We could clearly hear housekeeping noise from the next room in the morning around 8ish 9am.
•The snack bar concept feels outdated. Instead of charging extra for snacks, it would be better to simply include something unique and special in the room rate.
•Surprisingly, there’s no capsule coffee machine, only basic drip coffee that requires boiling water—not ideal if you’re feeling lazy in the morning.
We chose not to include breakfast, preferring to explore local food options instead. The robot service was a fun and interesting touch now.
