Clean rooms, plenty of radiators. They're needed to fight the draughts in the sash windows... Bathroom on the opposite side of the layout to the sockets - prepare your kettle as you clean your teeth at bedtime, it'll save you staggering around fir the first coffee! Absolutely minimal clothes storage, ok for hanging a coat or shirt. Just as well I'm a naturist, all my clothes stayed in my bag until I needed to go out. Curtains on every window, but the ones on poles - bring clothes pegs to remove the gap letting in the ”arc light” system illuminating the building. Don't you know there's a war on? ”Please be quiet, some people may be asleep”, yeah, I get that, but the floors squeak everywhere... Interesting pre-Victorian building, lots of history. Herbie was the best member of staff, poor lad was run ragged as he seemed to be the only one working at night (except two large security guys that popped in). In this day and age: paying for wi-fi? Seriously? Only £3.00 a night, hardly seems worth it on top of the room cost. Paying for parking ( on a first come gets a space) again, started at £4.00 a day, charge increased by a pound per day mid-week... So why've I been charged £5.10? Staff couldn't explain... Oh, it's ”horizon”, we all know how they fudge figures. Just ask Mr Bates. Oh, and another thing ( read that book, it's funny), putting the 'top me up' sign on the door in the morning doesn't work... Perhaps as it was the last room on the floor, maybe the cleaner's string wasn't long enough to navigate the labyrinth.

Lovely hotel, stayed for a long weekend and used the spa facilities - they gave us a free upgrade which was a nice touch! Beautiful grounds, restaurant was lovely and only a short scenic walk to the town Only critique was the pool was quite small without much seating available and the sauna was male or female only - but the rest of the stay and amenities more than made up for it! Also recommend the afternoon tea :)

Questo è un edificio molto attraente, spazioso all'interno e su un luogo attraente circondato da alberi fuori città. Parcheggio facile. Dato la sua età, l'edificio ha bisogno di un aggiornamento, ma è ancora elegante, e ci piace soprattutto il bellissimo salone. Ottimo colazione e cena (amo gli arancioni). Amo questo posto! Non sono rimasto all'hotel ma ho amici che lo hanno fatto e lo amano. Visto il pub per la musica in diretta ( hanno una banda diversa ogni sabato sera ). Abbiamo così tanto divertente. Anche io amo il prato di domenica. I’ve been to a number of pubs in the area and this is still the best ! Piled high and made with ❤️ love ! All staff are lovely. Arnold and Callum ROCK!!! Worth visiting from surrounding areas.

Situazione centrale del centro città a Tunbridge Wells, utile per avere il parcheggio gratuito (a differenza della maggior parte degli hotel vicini). Budget consapevole, ma è pulito e confortevole. Potrebbe essere un po 'dato, ma alcuni potrebbero chiamare questo ‘retro charm’.

Abbiamo un po' di due pensieri al momento di valutare l'hotel. Da l'arrivo: il parcheggio era grande, ma pieno. Dovremmo cercare un posto. Check-in andò bene, c'è un vecchio, piccolo ascensore per 1 persona con bagaglio. La stanza era piena. Non c'era frigorifero, non c'era aria condizionata, e il sedile che figurava sulle foto mancava. Ci sono due sedie, c'era una TV con pochi trasmettitori, un bagno con bagno piccolo e una doccia separata. La stanza è pulita, ma la pulizia della stanza, asciugamani puliti eccetera non è standard. Per questo è necessario chiedere. La colazione è in forma di buffet. Ci sono servizi per caffè, tostapane e ordini speciali. Il supplemento non avviene immediatamente quando necessario, quindi a volte i piatti sono semplicemente. La sera l'hotel era morto. Nessuno confessa di dare un drink o qualsiasi cosa. Il giorno in cui ci siamo lasciati, abbiamo scoperto che c'era un altro bar che sembrava aperto. Dovresti solo saperlo ...

Don't be fooled by the exterior and the renovated lobby, both of which are very nice. This is a dumpy old hotel that should have its Holiday Inn franchise removed until full renovations are complete. As an IHG Diamond and Intercontinental Ambassador status guest I was given an upgrade to an executive room. My first room had stains on the walls, stains on the desk chair, crumbs from biscuits on the nightstand, other crumbs on the desk chair, mold spores in the kettle, stains on the side of the bed, bedding that didn't even cover the mattress, and mold or mildew in the bathtub-shower. Those were just the cleanliness-related issues. The room was also in poor condition. Likewise, the hallway leading to the hotel had threadbare and stained carpet that looked like it was from the 1980s or 1990s. Same for the bathroom, which looked unchanged in years. I requested a second room, which was also an executive room. This room had hair on surfaces, stains on the bedding, stains on the bathroom countertop/vanity, mold or mildew in the bathtub-shower, and water from a previous guest in the kettle. The Front Desk clerk was working by herself until the duty manager arrived. There were no housekeeping staff working. To the hotel's credit, I emailed the operations manager and duty manager with pictures. The duty manager took full responsibility, fully apologized and re-cleaned my second room while I was at dinner. While worn-out and, overall, just well below the standard of any chain hotel in 2023, the room was at least mostly clean on the third try. I will also compliment the Front Desk clerk, a woman. She was professional, welcoming and just very hospitable. She was exactly the kind of person you want working the Front Desk. I would hire her in a heartbeat if I owned or managed a hotel. Unfortunately, she can only work with the product she is given. Likewise, I had dinner in the hotel restaurant while waiting for my room to be cleaned. The menu is pretty extensive and, if I'm being honest, a little overwhelming. The lamb was very good. Surprisingly good actually. Service was attentive, although the restaurant is really just the breakfast restaurant. If you order drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), the until 6:30 pm for dinner, which is a little late for a chain hotel off the motorway. The bar off the lobby, which has the feel of a small pub, serves the same food and is open earlier. staff have to go to the bar to retrieve them. This seems odd. You think they would at least have a non-alcoholic drink station in the restaurant. The restaurant itself doesn't open Most customers were eating in the bar as it had a better atmosphere than a soulless restaurant dining room that was 99% empty. I was going to use the gym, but the gym isn't 24/7. You also somewhat bizarrely have to walk through the bar to access the gym. That's awkward. Another unusual feature of the hotel is the layout.
