Hotel a Ribeira Cha, Portogallo

I just returned from a three night stay at this hotel with my girlfriend and our teenage daughter. We have been countless times in S. Miguel as we consider it such a pleasant and beautiful island. This time we opted for a hotel outside the main towns and in fact we managed to do just that. At the same time it is only 20 minutes away from the airport and 15 minutes away from Ponta Delgada or Ribeira Grande, the two main towns. We already visited the nine islands of the Azores archipelago and always get a rental car at the airport (exception at Corvo Island). If you are staying in this hotel, it is paramount that you do the same. As to the hotel itself, we booked it only four weeks in advance on high season, thus we had to pay the full rate of the stay at that moment. Upon check-in on room 206, we were given two identical cards without any distinctive element, one to open the door and the other to insert into the slot for lightening. That is odd, generally, hotels give two identical keys to open the door and one of them, if necessary can be left on the slot when we are out. We were assigned a spacious accommodation with living room, bedroom and bathroom. We did not have sea view and the living room had lots of glass walls overlooking the adjacent condo. All those glasses made it very hot on the sun shining days and we had to keep the AC on during the day. The décor of the room was unstylish and lacking attention to details. The bedroom had a big closet but no clothes rail or hangers. Besides that, one of the doors of the closet could not be opened fully, because it bumped into the shelves that are installed as bedside tables. The safe was old style, that is to say, it closes with a key that we had to ask for at the reception at no charge, along with a cumbersome key ring that we had to take with us whenever we were out of the room. The living room had a well equipped kitchen, that we did not use but it was constantly patrolled by half a dozen ants. We had bought previously some good looking fruits and had to fill a big dish with water and in the middle of it we put a small dish with our fruit so that the ants weren’t able to cross the water in order to get to fruit island. The bathroom was very spacious and pleasant looking even if the washbasin was more stylish than efficient. This room lacked tremendously of a place to put one´s belongings (toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, electrical razor and so on). Amazingly no one foresaw the installation of a shelf. The social areas of the hotel such as the lobby are, again, unstylish, corridors have shabby carpeting. The room where breakfast is served has a view to an outside wall and lacks natural lightening. Breakfast itself has a reasonable variety of items, but by no means is it worth 12 euro per person per day, that in our case we were asked to paid in advance, precisely at the same moment we made the reservation. The first point goes to the breathtaking location. Everything is wellkept, the gardens around, the rooms are very confortable everyone with balcony with seaview. Soft but beautifull decoration. Staff is very pleasant. The only thing i missed were some aspects of breakfast: a lack of variety of fruits and cheese (Azores has a strong agriculture and cheese industry). Also breads could vary a bit more. But it was a lovely 4 night stay. Very positive point: bottle of delicious water in room that can be refiiled at the lobby. Superb swimming pool

Questo affascinante hotel a tema mi ha colpito dal momento in cui mi sono camminato dentro, con il suo progetto sostenibile, decorazione unica, personale attento e piacevole attrezzatura. Una delle caratteristiche di stand-by dell'hotel da Rosa è il suo impegno per la sostenibilità. È sempre cordiale sostenere gli istituti che privilegiano le pratiche ecologiche. La decorazione dell'hotel è stata un vero evidenziatore per me. L’attenzione ai dettagli e il tema in tutta la proprietà aggiunge un fascino e un carattere distinti, e ogni angolo sembrava avere una storia da raccontare, e io mi trovai a scoprire nuovi elementi deliziosi con ogni giorno passato. La combinazione di estetica moderna con un toccamento della cultura locale rifletteva perfettamente lo spirito delle Azzorre. La mia camera a Signora da Rosa Hotel era spaziosa e confortevole, offrendo un santuario rilassante dopo un giorno di esplorazione. Gli elementi di design e gli arredamento deliziosi hanno creato un'atmosfera accogliente, garantendo un sonno tranquillo durante la notte. Apprezzo in particolare l'attenzione per il dettaglio nel mantenimento del tema in tutta la stanza, che ha aggiunto un strato di fascino e autenticità. Da quando sono arrivato, sono andati oltre e in alto per assicurarmi che le mie esigenze fossero soddisfatte e che mi sentissi a casa. Il colazione all'hotel da Rosa è stata una piacevole esperienza. Le varie opzioni e la freschezza delle offerte sono state davvero impressionanti: dalle delicazioni locali ai preferiti internazionali, c'era qualcosa per tutti. Apprezzo l'accento posto sull'uso di ingredienti freschi e di origine locale, che hanno aggiunto un autentico toccamento all'esperienza di mangiare. Grazie, signora da Rosa Hotel, per avermi offerto un soggiorno eccezionale. Mi aspetto di tornare e di sperimentare più della bellezza e del fascino che le Azzorre e il vostro hotel devono offrire.

This is a beautiful hotel that looks like the set of the Poirot series with its beautiful art deco interior. The main restaurant was fabulous we did a tasting menu one evening and it was a great experience. The staff here were super attentive and we felt cosseted both in the evening and at breakfast. Reception staff, cleaning staff all excellent. The garden terrace bar however was appalling, it was coronation day in England so we ordered afternoon tea I can only say one word , DREADFUL! The staff in here are indifferent never around for you to ask for anything and the afternoon tea was a joke ! Very disappointing. I f I had visited here earlier in our visit my opinion of the whole hotel would have been blighted However this area apart the hotel is lovely and well worth splashing out for a few days to visit this beautiful area! Be aware I was a little affected by the noise of the ongoing renovations in the gardens — the lorries beeping from 8.45 certainly detracted from the peace and beautiful birdsong these renovations are due to be finished by end June.

Di fronte all'Oceano Atlantico e direttamente sul mare, non ci sono ostacoli di fronte. La camera ha un balcone, molto confortevole e con ampia vista. Puoi vedere il mare direttamente dal letto. Il bagno è dotato di vasca. Puoi fare il bagno guardando il mare. È comodo! L'hotel è molto pulito, mi piace molto il suo stile di decorazione, ha un senso del design, l'abbinamento dei colori è molto adatto allo scenario locale e i dettagli sono ben fatti. Il servizio è molto buono, il ristorante per la colazione a buffet può guardare il mare e il cibo è abbondante. L'hotel dispone di una piscina a sfioro all'aperto. Puoi nuotare mentre guardi il mare. Se non vuoi nuotare, puoi salire pigramente per crogiolarti al sole. C'è anche un bar accanto alla piscina.
