Hotel City Comfort a Phnom Penh

La colazione è molto buona. La stanza è pulita ma non ha una stanza pulita ogni giorno. La posizione è decente per esplorare la città. La palestra è antiquata e scarsamente attrezzata, ma ancora fa il lavoro. Il servizio è ok.

Nel complesso un soggiorno confortevole e di grande valore! La vista dalla stanza era incredibile, mi è piaciuto vedere il sole sorgere o guardare il cielo diventare scuro mentre la città si illuminava. Finché non ti spaventi troppo per i piccoli scarafaggi che escono di notte. Comunque ho risolto il problema acquistando i kit ”trappola per scarafaggi” da Mr DIY al centro commerciale AEON, è stato molto efficace. Lavatrice self-service, microonde e tostapane disponibili al piano 29. La piscina, il bagno turco e la palestra erano incredibili al piano 39. Nota che non è consentito indossare l'accappatoio lì, devi essere coperto con i tuoi vestiti e cambiarti lì. Hai bisogno di una tessera di accesso separata per entrare. Nota che puoi cambiare ascensore al piano 3A dal centro commerciale per raggiungere anche il piano 28/29. C'è un comodo supermercato cinese al piano terra del centro commerciale e puoi facilmente acquistare molte cose. Il cibo a domicilio deve essere ritirato al piano terra, poiché la sicurezza dell'edificio non consente loro di salire, ma non è un problema. Ricordatevi di appendere il cartellino del personale addetto alle pulizie fuori dalla porta se volete che puliscano la stanza.

We flew to Phnom Penh from Shanghai, our first ever visited to Cambodia. We booked our stay at palace hotel as it seemed convenient to travel to other places. Next day we traveled to sight seems places and forgot our check out time is 12 pm, and we could only check out by 3 pm. While checking out the staff didn’t even only mention about the overstay, but also helped us with many little things. If you ever visit this city I highly recommend everyone to stay at this property. They have a great team who take care of each guest with utmost respect and care. Thank you everyone 🙏🏼🫶🏽

The staff, especially Nory (who is a modestly good English speaker and a great bar host), were very helpful and friendly. The Orussy Hotel is right next to the Orussy Market which might be too “authentic” for some foreign travelers (it is a bustling open food/vendor market used by the locals). As the hotel restaurant & bar serves mostly Americanized fair at American prices, I recommend finding local food. The economy rate room was very basic and small compared to the fancy pictures shown. There is limited rooms with window views on the lower economy floors. The top of the tower offers a good view of west Phnom Penh. Hotel is about 1.5 miles from both the Royal Palace (tours closed due to covid) the Phnom Phem Night Market area, and 0.5 miles from a covid testing center. Be prepared to play frogger crossing roads, as the locals do.

Un bellissimo hotel di stile cambogiano tradizionale. Il giovane personale è amichevole e entusiasta. Ci sono molte caratteristiche di legno e un lobby selvaggio sopra il gruzzolo. La pista che conduce all'hotel può essere un po 'dodgy e piegato con rubinetto. La colazione è servita sul tetto e molto buona con molte scelte. La piscina e il ristorante sono bellissimi e il servizio e la cena sono stati apprezzati. La mia stanza sembrava buona, ma non c'è punto di forza vicino al letto e la doccia è strana. Il personale domestico controlla mai le batterie nella TV a distanza? Nessun balcone come indicato nella prenotazione di viaggio. Evitare il prelievo di tuk Tuk fuori davanti e chiamare un GRAB per un miglior trasporto di valore.

Room was nice and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only breakfast could be improved with more vegetarian options and non-dairy milk!

Although staff were lovely the location was not great, it didn't feel very safe and there weren't very many close food options, tourist spots etc, you had to get tuktuks. The first night we were excited to use the beautiful (it really is) rooftop Restaurant and Bar, we picked 5 items, 4 of which were unavailable including a basic glass of red wine, everything else including cocktails we ever ordered in our 3 days was also met with 'we don't have that' it was very unfortunate because it was expensive too...otherwise we would have dined every day and had drinks multiple times a day. Cigarette smoke was smelled in the bathroom often from other rooms, our towels one day were replaced with ones that smelled of stale cigarette smoke, the bell every time a room is entered also got really irritating as we tried to nap during the day or early night. Would not recommend.

This is a cheap option for accommodation with an average breakfast(buffet) . The price is adequate to what you pay for. The hotel has a good location close to the S21 museum (about 7 minutes walk). About 30 minutes walk to the central market or the royal palace. lWeak WiFi. Helpful staff in the lobby. Inexpensive meals in the restaurant.

We called the hotel one day before we arrived to let them know our early arrival time (to leave luggage). But when we arrived next day at 6 in the morning, the hotel was black out and chain-locked from the outside. The security guy opened the door and let us in and we saw the night receptionist was sleeping on the sofa with pillow and blanket, he seemed upset to see us. Then we requested to use bathroom (which is also very dirty and smelly) and he didn't even turn the lights on. We stayed a bit longer in the hotel because it was raining outside, and he didn't want to clear up his sleeping space for us to sit. When he realized we were going to wait until rain stops, then he cleared up the space and started to play games loudly at the reception. No greetings, no conversation at all, when we asked we can't connect to WiFi, he just gave us a STARE. We later then came back to hotel around noon and the room was ready (which we were grateful for), we didn't get the TWIN room we requested tho. The room was not cleaned properly, no minibar fridge, safe is with the key attached (it makes me think what the purpose of this safe is), dirty showerhead, flooded balcony, hair full of sliding door and stained wall.(see the photos below) Breakfast was okay but tasteless coffee. Wi Fi connection is not strong at all and the mobile data also gets slower in the room 🙂 Oh, don’t forget to bring your own adapter since they don’t have one in the entire hotel. We didn’t use the pool at all just by the look of it. You don’t want to get itch afterwards. The night before leaving, my friend had an important meeting at night. She had to leave the room since the coverage is bad and she did the meeting in the lobby. Our lovely night guy was back and started to watch news loudly that she couldn’t focus and hear the meeting. So she requested him to reduce the volume for a while, which he did for a few minutes then got louder again before the meeting ended. I would say location is great. But trust me, they got the best photoshoot on their website where expectations and reality doesn’t meet. The highlight of this hotel is the receptionist girl who works in the afternoon shift (sorry that I didn’t get her name). She really went out of her way to help us and she knows what the hospitality is. She makes sure to greet, smile and even gave me her charger to use for that evening, asked if we need anything. The hotel should be grateful to have her. Overall, the stay was okay but if you want what you pay for, choose another hotel with the same price range. There are lots of hotels out there better and cleaner than here. We won’t come back here again.
