Hotel in zona Carlsberg Sign, Phnom Penh

This is a cockroach infested hotel in the red light district used by the older men to entertain their ***********. The New Season Riverside Hotel is described as a modern property within walking distance of key attractions. Personally I would describe it as a out dated, run down, cockroach infested flee pit located in the centre of the red light district which caters for elderly white men and their *********** (there is a notice in each room stating *********** are welcome as long as they sign in at reception and are not under age)! We were met by the owner who could not be bothered to welcome us or look up from his computer other than to demand our passport’s. The room was dirty with long black hairs everywhere, including on the sheets. We paid extra for a window. We got a window with glass but when we opened the dirty stained curtains we found the ‘window’ was bricked up on the outside. There was also no fridge or garden as described in the description on Booking.com. Throughout the night we had to listen to the other occupants entertaining their guests and rats running in the void between the ceiling and the floor above. As soon as we turned the lights out at night to get a good nights sleep we found our room (105 located directly above the hotel kitchen) was infested with cockroaches which crawled across the bed as we lay there. We photographed and caught several under glasses. There was no one on duty at night to complain to so we spent the whole night awake sat up in bed with the lights on keeping cockroaches off us. The following morning, when I complained about the window, no fridge, no garden and the cockroaches the manager just laughed. Later that morning I spoke directly to the owner who also laughed. When I insisted that it was not a laughing mater he started to shout at me and became threatening and aggressive. He made some excuse about the fault being with Booking.com who had overbooked his hotel. We saw few other guests so did not believe the hotel was fully booked and did not see what this had to do with the cockroach infection. We had booked for 3 nights, when we said we wanted to leave early, the owner refused to refund the remaining 2 nights. I attempted to cancel the remaining 2 nights on Booking.com but the cancelation policy meant that we would not receive a refund. In addition to the above, the stairs are used as storage areas for cleaning equipment and rubbish. The only way to access the upper floors is by a small lift. This makes the hotel a 5 storey fire trap. There is a 6 inch gap between the bed and wall so during the night the pillows fall on the floor leaving you without a pillow to sleep on but a ladder for the cockroaches to get at you. I’m in my late 50s and have travelled extensively across Asia This is without doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Unless you are an elderly man down on his luck, looking to entertain your ********** on the cheap and don’t mind cockroaches for company I would avoid th

Sfortunatamente, durante la colazione molti ospiti hanno scelto di girarsi e fissarci mentre cercavamo di fare colazione e lo Sky bar era chiuso. Sono indeciso se ritornare per un soggiorno a meno che non sia diretto all'aeroporto.

Location - Well placed in the city. From the pool and bar area you can see the independent monument and the tops of the palace complex. There are some distance views of the river as well. Easy to walk out from to the monument, palace and the river. Just be warned that if you walk you constantly get hassled by tuk tuk's looking for business. Crossing the road can be challenging as it is very busy. Rooms - Basic clean and all that you need in a hot country. The only downside is that it can be noisy due to the stone floor that echo's the sound of chairs being moved. Staff - Polite and speak good English. Big shout out to the petite young women (sorry don't know name) who served us breakfast and during the day, evening drinks - always had a big smile and very helpful. Food - Nice selection at breakfast of fruit and cereals, pastries. A selection of cooked breakfast representing many cultures (noodles, soup, western eggs etc). Lunch/Evening they had a good selection of small bites (burritos, veg and dips) and western and Asian dishes (steak, noodles, rice) Amenities - Good wifi signal throughout. Restaurant and bar clean and mixture of seating available. Pool table. Pool was gorgeous on the roof with great views. Big enough to have a little swim about. Seating can get crowded in the afternoon when people return from touring around. Recommend the hotel as we didn't find or have any negatives.

We went to Phnom Penh for business trip and decided to stay in this hotel. The location of the hotel is great and convenient. Many restaurants and entertainment activities are available nearby. The only downside of this hotel was that the room is quite small. Everything else is good for me.

An unfortunate experience, I found myself in the worst situation dealing with M Residence, as on the day of my check-in, the Sale Manager Vincent neglected to inform the receptionist about my booking, and instead of booking online for a fair rate, they wanted to charge me 50 USD per night, when it was only 24 USD online. Because the receptionist was new and unfamiliar with the process, she had to validate each step with her manager. It took me 45 minutes to check-in. The whole thing felt sketchy because I had to pay 130 USD with tax instead of 72 USD online with Airbnb small tax it would have cost max 86 USD if I recall. Anyway, I paid and received a very small room with hardly working air conditioning and filthy elevator. The swimming pool was breaking apart, and it appeared that the structure was inadequately maintained. There was no pool attendant, and no PH and CL analysis of the chemicals in the pool was available. The entire establishment is a shambles, and they definitely lack hospitality skills. Anyway I shared some information about my experience with the Manager who told me “The staff are so bad” I wanted to react and tell him that he should invest in training them but I could see there was no point in telling him has he clearly do not hold any sense of hospitality skills… The day before my departure I contact the “Receptionist Supervisor” and asked if I should do my check out now to collect my deposit back as I leave at 5:50 am and she informed to not to worry there is 24/7 staff at the lobby. Of course, the day of my check out there was no staff at the lobby to proceed my check-out so now they are ghosting me over 30 USD refund. In addition to all of this I intended to do a collaboration with the Sales manager upon my arrival a discount or free stay over some pictures which they gladly receive but never gave me proper feedback nor a compensation. M Residence is a disgrace to the hospitality industry in Cambodia. Their unethical practices and scams are not the way to conduct business.

La disposizione generale dell'hotel è molto ingegnosa. I materiali di decorazione utilizzati non sono costosi. La maggior parte delle aree può essere vista direttamente dal materiale cementizio, ma sono perfettamente combinate attraverso il design principale, il che fa sentire alle persone che non è economico. Sono stato a Phnom Penh in viaggio d'affari negli ultimi due anni e ho vissuto molte volte, e ogni volta sono molto soddisfatto. A Phnom Penh, oltre al Rosewood Hotel, altri boutique hotel si sono classificati al primo posto. Le strutture della camera sono ben tenute e ben tenute, molto pulite, le forniture per gli ospiti sono confortevoli e l'odore di shampoo e gel doccia è particolarmente gradevole. Ho vissuto in tutti i tipi di appartamenti, e sento sempre di più che le intenzioni ingegnose dell'architetto, si può dire che una stanza ha una vista, in modo che gli ospiti provenienti da diverse direzioni della stanza possano godere delle sue intenzioni. Il letto era molto morbido, e mi sentivo avvolto nel mare quando mi sdraiai e sprofondai lentamente nell'oceano. Volevo davvero dormire e non mi alzavo. Spero che l'amico che ha letto questa mia recensione abbia l'opportunità di soggiornare in questo hotel.

Sembra si trova in una sorta di zona di club, in funzione del lato che il tuo viso può essere buono o può essere un orribile soggiorno. Ho prenotato l'hotel due volte e il mio primo soggiorno non era problema, ma il mio secondo soggiorno mi ha fatto incontrare i club e non potevo dormire fino alle 4 quando la musica si fermò. Quando si rimane lì, si accerta di avere una stanza sul lato tranquillo. Anche in questo secondo soggiorno c'era un allarme di fuoco, sembra che alcuni ospiti fumino nel corridoio o qualcosa del genere. Ho aperto la mia porta e il personale mi ha chiesto di tornare in camera.

Un bel posto per passare il weekend.Il cibo è buono, le camere sono grandi e spaziose.Potrei fare con un piccolo controllo delle tue rovine. Ma in generale, un posto molto bello.
