If you are looking for a place in Gorkhi Terelj National Park that perfectly balances modern luxury, endless entertainment, and untouched natural beauty, Imperial Mount Resort is the ultimate choice.
The Ultimate Host: The biggest highlight of our stay was the resort owner, who is incredibly friendly, accommodating, and speaks fluent English. Having a host you can communicate with easily in the wilderness is a game-changer. There is absolutely no need to join a rigid group tour; the owner quickly arranged a private driver for us (at our own expense) to visit nearby attractions like Turtle Rock and the Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex. It allowed us to customize our own itinerary and enjoy total freedom.
The Vibe & Accommodation: The resort is beautifully designed with a sleek, modern wooden main building. We stayed in a Duplex Dome, which offered incredible space and a skylight for stargazing. The biggest luxury was the private, clean bathroom with excellent hot water and separate wet/dry areas—a rare find that completely redefines the typical Mongolian camping experience! The resort sits in a peaceful valley surrounded by majestic rock formations and roaming horses, giving it a dreamy, ”Little Switzerland” feel.
Top-Notch Amenities (All Free!): Unlike other remote camps, this place keeps you entertained. Inside the main building, there is a designated Ping Pong room, a billiards table, and Karaoke rooms—all completely free to use! Outside, they have basketball court, volleyball court, a colorful children's playground, and BBQ pits.
Incredible Food: The dining here blew us away. The included breakfast was fresh and relaxing. However, I highly recommend ordering their ala carte dinner. They serve a fantastic mix of Western and traditional Mongolian dishes. We ordered the grilled meat skewers with fries, a massive chicken Caesar salad, a comforting hot vegetable and meat stew, and traditional Mongolian Huushuur (deep-fried meat pastries) and Buuz (steamed dumplings). Everything was incredibly flavorful and hearty!
Horseback Riding Nearby: There is a professional horse ranch run by a neighbor just 100 meters away. It costs 30,000 MNT per hour, which is very reasonable. Tip: If it's your first time riding, I highly recommend hiring a coach to guide you for safety.
Verdict: 10/10. An unforgettable stay with amazing hospitality. I would come back in a heartbeat!

Comfortable, welcoming, and beautifully designed. Every room has its own detail: big TV, strong internet, clean shower, and even a kitchen area where you can cook. It genuinely feels like home.
The landlord is incredibly accommodating and speaks English well. He’s friendly, easy to talk to, and can recommend hot places to visit in Ulaanbaatar. His hospitality makes the stay even better.
The hotel is very close to the big local market, making it convenient to explore, buy essentials, or enjoy local food. The area feels lively yet safe.
This hotel is perfect for travelers who want comfort, culture, and convenience all in one place. It’s a home away from home — warm, welcoming, and truly Mongolian.

Our three-night stay at Hunnu Tourist Camp completely exceeded our expectations. It offers insane value for money and is the ultimate choice if you want to escape overcrowded commercial traps and experience the true harmony of Mongolian nature and genuine human connection.
Pure Hospitality with Zero Hassle (Our Deepest Impression): The best part about this camp is the vibe. The hosts give you complete peace and space—there is absolutely none of the aggressive upselling or tourist hassle you often find elsewhere. They might seem quiet, but they are deeply attentive, showing their warmth through thoughtful actions rather than loud words.
July Summer Comfort & Cozy Bedding: We visited in early July. Even though the daytime temperature reached 30°C outside, the inside of the ger remained surprisingly cool, airy, and refreshed without any air conditioning. However, summer nights on the steppe can plunge to single digits. To our delight, the beds were equipped with electric blankets, and the hosts even proactively brought us an electric heater because they were worried we might get cold. We slept incredibly warm and soundly!
Wonderful Included Breakfast & Great Dining Options:
Complimentary Breakfast: A delicious buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. It was a wonderful surprise to have a varied spread of fresh vegetables, meat, fruits, and boiled eggs on the steppe, along with comforting Korean seaweed soup and traditional Mongolian hot broth.
Dinner Recommendation (Khorkhog): We highly recommend pre-ordering the traditional Mongolian stone-roasted meat (Khorkhog). It takes about 2 hours to prepare, so we usually ordered it during breakfast for our dinner. The portions are huge and come with a great variety of side dishes.
Paid À La Carte Options: For other meals, the restaurant offers an excellent and affordable daily menu of Mongolian and Korean dishes that are freshly made to order. We loved the Kimchi tofu soup with rice, stir-fried spicy pork belly, handmade mutton fried noodles (Tsuivan), and crispy Khuushuur. Everything was satisfying and very well-priced!
The Sweetest Check-out Gesture: On our final day, we had to catch a chartered car back to Ulaanbaatar Airport (UBN) at 7:00 AM, long before breakfast hours. We went to say goodbye to the host the night before and mentioned we would leave our ger door open upon departure. Hearing this, the host immediately went to pack a breakfast box for us for the next morning, filled with boiled eggs, fresh cucumbers, and mandarins. Receiving this thoughtful, handmade meal in the chilling steppe air deeply moved and healed us.
Facilities & Activities: Shared bathrooms were kept spotless with abundant hot water. The surrounding nature is stunning for hiking, featuring lush meadow wetlands, unique gully erosion, and roaming livestock. You can even spot the Genghis Khan Statue Complex in the distance. The camp has its own stables where you can pay to ride horses directly to the Tuul River. They even provide traditional Mongolian costumes (Deel) in the lobby for guests to try on for free.
Final Thoughts on Mongolian Culture: Throughout this journey, I deeply felt the spirit of the Mongolian nomads, who have coexisted alongside horses, sheep, wolves, and harsh blizzards for thousands of years. They hold a profound reverence for nature, viewing humans and animals not in a hierarchy, but as equal living beings nurtured by the same earth. This dignified, grounded, and unpretentious attitude is worlds apart from modern commercial societies, and it is precisely what made this journey so rare and precious to us. A perfect 10/10!

UUtente ospiteHo avuto un soggiorno molto piacevole in questo ostello. La posizione è eccellente diritto nel centro della città e a pochi passi dalle principali attrazioni, ristoranti, negozi e trasporti pubblici.
L'hotel è stato pulito ogni giorno, rendendo il soggiorno comodo e piacevole. La connessione internet ha funzionato bene durante il mio soggiorno, e avere accesso a Netflix è stato un bel bonus per il relax di sera.
I proprietari erano molto amichevoli, benvenuti e sempre disposti ad aiutare con qualsiasi domanda o domanda. Ci è anche un balcone dove è consentito fumare, che può essere conveniente per alcuni ospiti.
Un piccolo consiglio per gli amanti del caffè: se si intende bere il caffè, si prega di portare o acquistare filtri per la macchina del caffè.
Oh, mi piacciono le loro socket di alimentazione universale che si adattano a tutti i plug 2/3, piatto/rotondo, USB, C-qualcosa (non ricordo il nome) ecc...
L'unica migliore che suggerisco è sostituire le piastre e le mutandine di plastica con quelle di ceramica o di vetro, perché renderebbero l'esperienza ancora più piacevole.
In generale, questo ostello offre un grande valore per i soldi, una posizione conveniente e un'atmosfera confortevole.
Non credo che cercherò un altro posto per restare presto ogni volta che torno a Ulaanbaatar.

UUtente ospiteL'hotel ha aperto intorno a maggio 2025. Siamo molto contenti di aver trovato questo nuovissimo hotel a Ulaanbaatar. È ancora nuovo, quindi molti aspetti sono ancora in fase di adattamento. Gestite le vostre aspettative e assicuratevi di prenotare la camera correttamente. L'hotel si trova all'interno di un centro commerciale ”collegato” a un altro centro commerciale. L'area ristorazione vende cibo che per noi è più che accettabile. La camera è spaziosa. Circa 41 mq. Se, come me, amate i letti rigidi, adorerete questo hotel. Vi consiglio di fare colazione altrove. Nel complesso, adoro questo hotel. Se dovessimo tornare, questa sarebbe la nostra prima scelta. Avevo sentito recensioni di amici che dicevano che un hotel a 5 stelle avrebbe dovuto essere un resort, ma non è stato all'altezza delle aspettative. Questo hotel ha superato le nostre aspettative in termini di pulizia, dimensioni e comfort.

UUtente ospiteL'hotel è situato in una zona molto centrale, a circa 15 minuti a piedi dal monastero di Gandantegchinlen o da Seoul Street. È inoltre adiacente a diversi centri commerciali dove è possibile trovare bar, minimarket e ristoranti aperti tutto il giorno. Si trova in una zona molto trafficata della città, quindi è un buon punto di partenza per esplorare Ulan Bator.
I servizi offerti erano sufficienti per un soggiorno confortevole e la camera è molto compatta ma abbastanza spaziosa per due persone. Il bagno era pulito, ma la pulizia potrebbe essere migliorata. L'impianto dell'acqua calda non era molto stabile, a volte era molto fredda o troppo calda, ma non ha influito eccessivamente sul nostro soggiorno, poiché ha funzionato correttamente per la maggior parte del tempo.
I letti erano comodi e abbiamo dormito bene dopo una lunga giornata trascorsa a esplorare la città. L'insonorizzazione era generalmente buona e non abbiamo avuto problemi di rumore, essendo stati sistemati in una camera in fondo al corridoio, lontano dagli ascensori.
Nel complesso, consigliamo vivamente questo hotel a tutti i viaggiatori.

Il check-in era brillante! Il primo alla reception parlava un po' di inglese e mi ha controllato al 7.30 in mattinata senza problemi. La mia stanza era spaziale, il letto era grande, anche se sul lato duro. A questo punto le buone cose sull'hotel sono finite.
Purtroppo, tutto il resto è piuttosto cattivo.Il sistema di illuminazione è rotto e non si può spegnere la luce sopra il letto a meno che non si tolga la carta chiave, ma poi le uscite di potenza si spostano, quindi non si può dormire e caricare il telefono allo stesso tempo. I nodi di mobili stanno cadendo indietro, così fa il nodo sul doccia. Il WiFi è stato abbassato 2 volte durante il mio soggiorno, tra cui una molto frustrante 12+ ore di uscita. La custodia casa non sembra sapere cosa significa un No Non Disturbo segnale, entrando nella stanza indipendentemente. I bagni sono i più economici possibili, non corrispondenti al nome dell'hotel (ad esempio Premium), lol.
In generale, il rapporto prezzo/qualità è stato sottovalutato, e non rimarrò qui.

L'elenco dice che si tratta di un'auto di sei minuti dall'aeroporto di Chinggis Khan, ma in realtà è una auto di trenta minuti, molto vicina all'aeroporto vecchio che non è più in uso. Il servizio di pick-up è stato offerto gratuitamente, ma abbiamo soggiornato la notte prima del volo, quindi non abbiamo bisogno di pick-up, abbiamo dovuto andare. Ho e-mailato la proprietà due volte la settimana che ci ha portato a chiedere di smettere di servizio e non ho mai ricevuto una risposta. Inoltre, c'è una mancanza di comunicazione tra il personale. Quando siamo arrivati all'appartamento dovevamo chiamare tre volte prima che finalmente ci incontrassero per ottenere i bagagli, c'era una confusione su quale stanza dovevamo andare e ci siamo trasferiti Tre camere diverse prima di esse erano le migliori, e la seconda che avevamo già sistemato e avevamo una doccia prima di venire e ci disse che era la stanza sbagliata. Non avevamo una macchina, quindi ci siamo camminati intorno per trovare cibo e non c'erano ristoranti, e solo pochi mercati molto piccoli, quindi abbiamo finito per ordinare cibo dal ristorante immobiliare. Ogni camera è diversa, come abbiamo scoperto da essere trasportate in tre camere diverse, sono molto spaziose, ma alcuni sono sicuramente in migliore condizione rispetto ad altri. Fortunatamente la nostra ultima stanza è stata la migliore, ma c'era una cucina con tazze, pannelli, cuoco di riso, piatti, ma nessun arredamento, nessuna microonde, nessun frigorifero. Perché avresti una zona di cucina e non avresti un frigorifero e un arredamento? C’era anche un lavastoviglie, ma nessun asciugamano. Non abbiamo avuto tempo di aspettare i nostri vestiti per l’aria asciugata durante il nostro soggiorno di una notte, così che anche questo era inutile.
In generale, era un soggiorno economico, ma si ottiene quello che paga.

DD. ChoRoom: The hotel needs to clean the room thoroughly, not just the bathroom but also the carpeted area, and fix the base board moldings as well as the loose heater radiator which supposed to be anchored down to the wall. Although the room is carpeted wall to wall, I can see bare floor on the edges and the corners.
Location: Not good, but at the same time not bad either. All attractions are within $3~$4 away which is more than I paid in other ~stan countries nearby. May be it is a Mongoljan thing, but for me it wasn't easy to hire taxi cab unless I am willing to pay the extra tips.
The front staffs: Very friendly and eager to provide help. Not all of them speaks English, but it is not a problem since they translator app is widely available.
Furnitures in the room: Very old, and there are wears and tears every part of the furniture. I don't know the other rooms, but the room I was given was too small for the furnitures to be placed in first place.
Overall: I wouldn't stay here again. The over all conditions of the hotel was not even close to the pictures shown in the trip.com app. If you select this hotel based on the pictures, you would be very disappointed if you are given the room I stayed in. Avoid Room 602 anyway you can.
