First and foremost, the location of the hotel is fantastic. Situated close to various amenities, I found myself just a short walk away from restaurants, shops, and local attractions. Whether I wanted to grab a quick bite to eat or explore the city's vibrant culture, everything was easily accessible. This convenience truly enhanced my overall experience, making it effortless to immerse myself in the local atmosphere.
One of the standout features of the hotel was its friendly and English-speaking staff. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the front desk staff who were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. They provided me with detailed information about the hotel facilities, nearby attractions, and even recommended some must-visit places in Haikou. Throughout my stay, the staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met, making me feel valued as a guest.
The rooms at the Hampton by Hilton were modern, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. My room was meticulously clean, with comfortable bedding and a well-appointed bathroom. The hot spring pools are located very close to the hotel building and stay open until 11 p.m. The breakfast starts as early as 6 a.m., which is convenient for early risers or guests catching a morning flight. The location is not very convenient, as the nearest shopping mall is about a 20-minute drive away. We booked a room for three adults, but the hotel only provided two complimentary entries to the hot spring pools. The third guest had to pay 88 RMB. Since the booking clearly included three adults, it would have been a nice gesture for the hotel to extend complimentary access for all three.
Overall, it’s a spacious resort with enjoyable hot springs.

La zona della piscina non è un posto particolarmente bello per rilassarsi. Il Spa è ridicolo, 10 volte il costo dello stesso trattamento in qualsiasi altro luogo. Il personale del ristorante del colazione era troppo veloce per metterti a tavola se si alzasse per ottenere più cibo. Sembra che ignorassero completamente il segno occupato sul tavolo. Il buffet del colazione era uno dei migliori che ho avuto in Cina.

CCharleneBWe chose Sheraton Haikou due to the great reviews, especially from helpful staff, close to the beach, and activities for children. Our stay was for 1 week.
Disappointments:
1) Absence and failed service of front desk staff
2) No help with luggage (really needed it)
3) Room cleaning could have been better.
4) Communication, there was almost never English staff available. Additionally, no one once checked in on us. Maybe I’m being petty but if guests stay long you’d wanna check if they need anything or just if they’re okay. At checkout, they looked more annoyed and just wanted to get rid of me. I asked about my Marriott membership & the lady was dismissive.
5) Poorly winter holiday program for kids. Different from the advertised program on trip.com.
6) Checkout was delayed because they couldn’t find my booking. Very weird. Eventually they spoke to someone who helped me and found the booking. How is this possible considering that I’ve been there for a week?
Great things:
1) location: it’s right on the beach, not far from airport and other places to explore
2. Location: it was very calm and relaxing, which is why we chose Haikou as opposed to Sanya. No heavy crowds, except when going to touristy places can expect some crowd but still manageable
3. Free photoshoot was fun and good way to create memories
4. Hot pool was a good way to make up for being in a pool, we loved it
5. Western restaurant was fine, had some good options.
6. Little play center for kids
7. Large grounds for kids to run around and to enjoy outdoors.
8. Accommodating: we were assigned a room on the 5th floor but on arrival it had a strong mould odour from the moment you exit the elevator. Was so bad when I entered the room, I instantly got a headache. All rooms have no windows, only a balcony door but be aware of bugs and spiders. We immediately got moved to a room on the 4th floor, less odour and no smell in the room.
9) Entertainment: live music at night
Would I go again? Yes, especially since I know what to expect. Or try another hotel in the same area.
Overall, we were happy to be by the seaside and explore places in Haikou.

Terzo: lavare i bambini, l'acqua è sempre fredda, il servizio clienti insiste per un po'di piu', non sono uscito per dieci minuti, e poi ho chiesto molte volte di confermare se non c'è un riscaldatore d'acqua calda, e il risultato non è solo stato aperto, non c'è energia elettrica, il personale del servizio clienti ha promesso di farlo, e devo aspettare che vengano dopo il pranzo
Quarta parte: Pronti a dormire la notte, scopri un pezzo sporco sulla lettiera, molto sporco, inviato al servizio clienti. Ha detto che era tutto a posto, ha detto che era un problema con la compagnia di erba. Location wasn’t the best as it’s quite far from the city so had to take 30-45mins ride everyday just to get to the city, and then back.
Hotel is pretty old as it was built for a long time, and you do have to cross something like an express way to get the the beach which is not very convenient too.
Overall pretty nice as I got it at a good deal.
