1) Location is superb. Right smack in the ancient city and 50m from the landmark guangji gate. You can walk everywhere to do your visits and taste street food & other gourmets . You can even get on a trishaw & do a slow sightseeing of the city among the interesting streets outside the non-traffic square 2) hotel is new about 6 months old. Clean and full amenities . The bed is comfortable and good. We are not familiar with the light switches so had trouble switching to dim lights at night 3) there’s a lift and a laundry area downstairs 4) service is perfect . Our room came with breakfast. Breakfast is simple and fresh and wholesome . Well in chaozhou you probably wanna skip to eat the yummy snacks on the street. We had breakfast for 2 days. On the last day we skipped. We slept in till breakfast time was over. We had bought a rice dumpling and a rice snack the day before. We requested for them to heat up. They went beyond our expectations. Not only heat up, but gave us fresh fruits all serve properly on a tray like room service. Thank you 5) we booked a one bedroom suite on level 2. Ceilings are high. Room is airy. Soundproofing is good. Once the windows are closed. There’s minimal noise from street outside. By night 10pm it’s quiet . Morning noises only start around 9am plus from tourists foot traffic 6) Tip- as traffic are not allowed on that street. The nearest point is to get off at the Xia shui men (下水门） gate and enter the gate. From there you walk about 100-150m on flat well-tiled surfaces to the hotel 7) hope the hotel maintains their cleanliness & newness moving forward . Will definitely stay there again when in chaozhou

The Space: The owners have clearly wrestled with the dampness that plagues traditional buildings and won. Each room comes equipped with a dehumidifier, air purifier, and—most tellingly—a tea-roasting machine, which speaks volumes about how seriously they take guest comfort. You’re not roughing it; you’re staying in a heritage shell with climate-controlled, modern interiors. The Host Delivers: Within minutes of our arrival, we were served Fenghuang’s “Duck Dung Fragrance” dancong tea while the owner explained how to brew it properly and distinguish between Phoenix tea cultivars. That session came with a concise history of the ancient mansion’s architecture and spot-on recommendations for local delicacies and lesser-known sights. This isn’t performative hospitality—it’s practical knowledge sharing by a respected local expert. How to Make the Most of It: Embrace the tea culture. The in-room tea setup and host’s guidance transform a simple amenity into a genuine cultural immersion. Trust the gear. Run the dehumidifier and air purifier without hesitation—they’re there because they work. Ask about the alleyway. The owner can explain the unique access arrangement so you’re not confused on arrival. Bottom Line: For travelers who want to experience Chaozhou’s historic architecture without sacrificing comfort—and who value a host that educates rather than just accommodates—this is the rare property that earns a repeat visit.

The room was clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. There are several restaurants within walking distance, making dining very convenient. We highly recommend the crab porridge and oyster omelette at the restaurant located at No. 2 at the end of the road — they open from 5pm onwards . There are also two clean and hygienic ear-picking shops with monitors just around the corner, near the opposite junction. Overall, we had a great trip and truly enjoyed our stay.

Every staff member I encountered – from reception to housekeeping – went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their friendliness, efficiency, and genuine hospitality really made me feel valued as a guest. They even help me to follow up with my taobao delivery of parcels. Well down for all staff. The hotel’s room & lobby cleanliness is well-maintained. My room felt fresh, tidy, and inviting, with thoughtful touches that showed the care and attention put into daily upkeep. The housekeeping team did an amazing job, and I truly appreciated their promptness and consistency throughout my stay. The location is also a major highlight – conveniently situated near key attractions located inside Chaozhou oldtown, dining options, yet peaceful enough for a restful night’s sleep. It made exploring the area effortless, and I could easily return to the hotel for a quick rest before heading out again. Take note this hotel is located inside the old town, may need to walk to main road for didi. The amenities exceeded my expectations. The facilities were modern, well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed to cater to both leisure and big group of families. From the relaxing lounge areas to the private villa facilities with massage chair and in-room conveniences, everything was in place to make my stay both enjoyable and productive. Overall, my experience here was nothing short of excellent. It’s rare to find a place that delivers consistently on all fronts – cleanliness, service, location, and amenities – but this hotel truly does. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for their dedication and kindness. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, and I look forward to returning in the future.

The room is big as the photo but the room is dusty during our stay. You may want to consider booking if you are sensitive with dust.

Dal momento in cui siamo arrivati, il personale ci ha resi benvenuti, tutti noi interagiamo con amicizia, professionisti e veramente disposti ad aiutarci. L'ingresso era regolare, le domande sono state risolte rapidamente e durante il nostro soggiorno il servizio è rimasto caldo e attento senza mai sentirsi costretto. La nostra camera era spaziosa, bellamente progettata e pulita senza spot. Il letto era incredibilmente comodo, e dopo lunghi giorni di esplorazione di Chaozhou, era il luogo perfetto per rilassarsi e ricarreggiare.
