Hotel con parcheggio a Gold Coast

Ho soggiornato al Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach dal 24 al 27 luglio. La sera del 25 luglio, mentre applicavo la crema idratante come parte della mia normale routine quotidiana, ho notato diversi piccoli segni sulla spalla e sulla parte interna della coscia/inguine che sembravano punture d'insetto. Applico la crema idratante ogni giorno e sono certa che questi segni non fossero presenti la sera del 24 luglio, dopo il check-in. Era inverno sulla Gold Coast e il 25 luglio ho trascorso gran parte della giornata all'interno di un centro commerciale, indossando maniche lunghe e pantaloni lunghi all'aperto. Non posso dire con certezza da dove provenissero i segni, ma più tardi quella sera ho visto anche degli insetti in camera e ho immediatamente segnalato l'accaduto all'hotel. Non volevo rimanere in quella camera. Ho provato ripetutamente a contattare Trip.com perché, in base a esperienze precedenti, mi hanno aiutato a trovare una sistemazione alternativa in caso di problemi con gli hotel. Purtroppo, non sono riuscita a contattare Trip.com quella sera. L'hotel mi ha comunicato che era al completo e mi ha offerto solo due opzioni: trasferirmi in una camera senza aria condizionata o rimanere nella stessa camera dopo che fosse stata pulita. Dato che era tardi, mi trovavo all'estero e non avevo alternative pratiche, ho accettato a malincuore la soluzione temporanea. Quella stessa sera, l'hotel mi ha comunicato che il giorno successivo mi avrebbero assegnato una camera di categoria superiore e che la colazione del 26 e 27 luglio sarebbe stata gratuita. Prima di accettare, ho chiesto cosa sarebbe successo se le macchie fossero peggiorate. Il personale non ha fatto alcuna promessa riguardo alle mie condizioni fisiche o alle mie responsabilità. Si sono limitati a spiegare che la pulizia, l'upgrade della camera e la colazione erano gesti di cortesia ”extra”. Ho accettato basandomi su questa spiegazione e perché quella sera non avevo alternative realistiche. Il personale che inizialmente ha gestito il mio reclamo è stato gentile, professionale e ha cercato sinceramente di aiutarmi. La mia principale delusione riguarda la comunicazione interna dell'hotel. Per chiarezza, ho pagato personalmente la colazione del 25 luglio. L'hotel aveva promesso la colazione gratuita solo per il 26 e il 27 luglio, ma io non ho nemmeno fatto colazione il 26 luglio. Nonostante ciò, ho dovuto spiegare la stessa situazione per ben tre volte: 1. Al momento del ritiro della chiave della camera di categoria superiore il 26 luglio, la reception inizialmente mi ha detto che la colazione non era inclusa. 2. La mattina del 27 luglio, la reception del ristorante mi ha nuovamente detto che avrei dovuto pagarla. 3. Al momento del check-out, il 27 luglio, la reception ha tentato di addebitarmi il costo di tre colazioni. Gli addebiti sono stati infine annullati, ma solo dopo che ho spiegato nuovamente la situazione. La mia critica non è rivolta a singoli dipendenti, poiché tutti coloro con cui ho interagito sono stati gentili e disponibili. Il vero problema è stata la mancanza di comunicazione tra il reparto che si è occupato del mio reclamo, la reception e il ristorante. La posizione è eccellente e l'atteggiamento del personale è stato generalmente positivo, ma scoprire possibili punture di insetti e insetti in camera è stato già di per sé fonte di stress. Il fatto di dover ripetere lo stesso problema per ben tre volte, perché l'accordo di cortesia dell'hotel non era stato comunicato internamente, ha reso l'esperienza ancora più deludente. Spero che l'hotel migliori l'igiene delle camere, le procedure di gestione dei reclami e la comunicazione tra i reparti.

Location: on the southern end of Surfer's Paradise, the quieter end, just behind the Q1. General notes: it is NOT a hotel. It's a serviced apartment. Put it into context & you'll be fine. The location is convenient. There's free resident parking. The staff are polite & professional. Club Wyndham is a time share operation, which they will try to gently push for. Thank you Felipe! There is a cafeteria onsite which serves breakfasts & meals on a schedule. The parking is free which is a remarkable bonus. There's free WiFi. 3 lifts service all floors and are generally efficient given the 17-18 floors. As of 2026 May, there are major renovation works being carried out, which shows they care, but do expect construction noise during your stay until it's complete. They should be more upfront about it to avoid upsetting the easily outraged customer, I felt. SO BEWARE!! Do check with them before you book Rooms: as a rented apartment block, more akin to Airbnb with a reception, do expect that each unit will vary in furniture & fittings, so be wary of the bad reviews as in general not all units are the same. From an objective perspective, the unit was well appointed & functional to a moderately good level. Just don't expect 4 star hotel level finishings. But it's good enough on the whole. There's air conditioning that works well, a large screen TV, kitchenette with cutlery & tableware, and a dishwasher, fridge & microwave. There's a washing machine & dryer as well, for the clothing. The sofas are comfortable & clean. There's a balcony which, if ocean facing, are ideal for the sunsets and smokes. Read: great views! The TV provides the usual terrestrial channels as well as a Club Wyndham cable like channel tv with a reasonably wide selection of video movies. There is a nice complimentary selection of tea bags, coffee & chocolate powder provided. Rooms: the single beds are rather narrow & small, but adequate. Not the best I've experienced, but good enough. The mattresses are very comfortable, soft & plush, not hard. The pillows are also very comfortable. The only thing missing in the room was the inadequate provision for clothes hangers & racks. Baffling to not provide clothes hangers in the wardrobe cupboard. Inexplicable. There's a small TV screen provided in the bedrooms too & an individual air-conditioning control console for the bedroom itself. Bathrooms: generally clean and adequate. All the usual soaps & moisturizers provided. No toiletries are included though. So do bring along your own toothbrushes & shavers. There are plugs for the electric shavers. The complete set of fluffy towels are provided. The shower is not a rain shower but just a shower head. Hot water takes a short while to heat up & The showering Is generally a good experience. Based on my limited experience, it's a good place for a short stay, with the free parking tipping the balance in its favor for most, though for long stays I'm not sure how efficient they will be in providing for extra towels, toilet paper, cleaning services, etc. Though on the surface, they do appear to be up to the task. Again, I would ask about this if you're staying for more than 3 days. Do also check about the renovation noise during the day! Addendum: There's a great Indian restaurant (Delhi Darbar) & a very popular Italian restaurant just downstairs. Also a good Japanese restaurant (Osaka) just opposite.

Had everything you need for a comfy stay, will be back! Would have love to stay longer

The apartment is serviced by Wowstay, not the Mantra Hotel. So the key has to be picked up from a lockbox at the base of the hotel and returned to the same lockbox. It’s a very professional and easy process, however I would recommend when dropping the key off to drive your car from the car park to the front of the Mantra Hotel checkin area. Leave your car there as there is no other convenient / close places to park. Then walk up the stairs around the side of the Mantra building to the lockbox area. The apartment I stayed in was on the 21st floor facing the ocean. It has the same layout as the other apartments with a modern bathroom, large sized bath that looks out over the bedroom, out to the ocean. The main bedroom and lounge have floor to ceiling views. It has a large balcony and great views of the coast. It has an extra large flatscreen TV, nice art work, a full kitchen. It also has a very comfortable leather lounge. There is an open study area that is used as an open bedroom for two single beds. The main bedroom has a king size bed. However I did find it unusual that a single pop-up bed had been made with linen in the same main bedroom. ( it was placed between the window and the end the bed, which obscured the view and took up the rest of the space in the bedroom. It looked out of place, it wasn’t necessary) it was easy to fold up, which I did and I placed it in the other area with the two other beds. I suggest you do the same if this happens to you. Or maybe you can request that it’s not used in the apartment? I will next time I stay. The location is great, central to everything. I have stayed at the Mantra through the hotel a few times before, however it was cheaper through Wowstay and it was as nice as the hotel apartments, so I will stay here again when I’m visiting the Surfers Paradise. The extra bonus with booking this via Wowstay, is that a carpark space is included with the booking, however if you book an apartment through the Mantra Hotel, you will be charged an additional fee.

Beautiful gorgeous apartment. We booked the beachfront view and it was absolutely perfect. Unobstructed view of the ocean + tennis courts. Pool was warm, clean and refreshing. Beautful long walk by the beach to Surfers Paradise. Bus stop a minute away to go anywhere in GC. Service by Luke, the young blonde guy at reception was a 2/5. We were given a room that didn't have a working dishwasher & dryer. Luke didn't even attempt to make any suggestions to help us. We had to return the next day to ask the older lady if we could use another dryer as we had a lot of wet clothes from being at the beach daily and at the pool. Our first day, we loaded the dishwasher and left for town only to come back to a flooded kitchen. We cleaned up without making a fuss. Service needs to be better.

Inizialmente mi era stata assegnata una camera che dava sulla piscina della discoteca, estremamente rumorosa di notte. La musica si è interrotta verso l'una di notte, non sono riuscito a dormire e la mattina dopo avevo un forte mal di testa. Per fortuna, dopo la mia segnalazione, sono riusciti a farmi cambiare camera e ad averne una dall'altro lato. L'hotel si trovava a pochi passi dalla spiaggia e dal Paradise Center, dove si trovano tutti i ristoranti. Sarebbe stato utile se il parcheggio fosse stato gratuito per gli ospiti dell'hotel.

Pensavo che, visto il prezzo, non sarebbe stato granché, ma siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi. La vista è magnifica, la posizione è perfetta ed è un posto incantevole ma allo stesso tempo accogliente. Il personale è stato fantastico e i servizi offerti sono un ottimo modo per trascorrere una serata, lo consiglio vivamente!

Surfers Beach Holiday Apartments was a great place to stay for our family. The management was helpful. Rooms were of a good size. The location is quiet. It is a easy walk to catch the G:tram. This makes getting to Surfers Paradise or other locations easy. Riding the G is also much cheaper and easier than trying to find parking for the car. While we were there, there were few people using the pool. Our grandkids had a great time... and mostly had the pool to themselves. I didn't realize there wasn't an elevator.(My fault for not checking.) Being on the third floor normally wouldn't have been an issue. Because of health issues for one of our family members, it would have been easier if we had been on a lower floor. If I had contacted the management when booking they said they would have tried to give us a lower floor. It's a great place and I highly recommend it.

Location: Peaceful surroundings with beautiful views, and conveniently close to shopping centers, theme parks, and a variety of dining options. Room Facilities: Clean, spacious rooms with all the essentials, including refrigerators, microwaves, and comfortable beds. Great value for an affordable stay. Dining Experience: The on-site restaurant provides a pleasant dining experience with a scenic waterfront view. Guest Suggestion: Keep in mind that daily room service, towels, and toiletries come at an additional cost, even for extended stays. You get exactly what you pay for.
