We spent one night here, and have to say it wasn't a 5 star experience by any streech of the imagination. Our room felt stuffy and the air-conditioning didn't help. The complimentary water was the smallest I've seen. 250 ml. My wife decided to have a bath and couldn't believe there was no bath toiletries, only a solitary round bar of soap. The shower had shampoo and conditioner dispensers in a locked bracket on the wall like the ones you find in an Ibis, or a Premier Inn over in Europe. We had a pre dinner drink in the lobby lounge and when we mentioned the complimentary drink that the receptionist informed us about, the bar tender said it was limited to house wine and tap beer. So much for the pre dinner brandy and soda. Breakfast the next morning was OK but after waiting half an hour for coffee, I approached the service area to be told I should be ordering it from the table. It arrived luke warm after another 10 minutes. The hotel is well positioned but isn't a 5 star hotel.

We come here every year for Spooky Nights with the kids and to celebrate a birthday. We also visit between these times. The kids love it and duty manager Ashleigh has a great attitude and always goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is memorable. The buffet breakfast is always tasty with offer a good range of items. Easy access the Sea World park. If you have some early (early) morning time, head up to the end of the Spit, marvel at Pacific Ocean and watch the boats head out.

Really bad room with a view. See photos. We are avid travellers and visit the Gold Coast quite often. We are also both involved in the travel industry. We stayed in a 2 Bedroom Apartments from 23/12/2021 to 1/1/2022. We made the booking via Booking.com and for this 9 night stay we payed $4063.50. This equates to around $450 per night for the 2 of us. When we first arrived in the room we were greeted by someone else's dirty socks left in a corner. Also we found the tap in the bathroom basin was not working. We called reception who said that they will contact the maintenance man to come and fix it. It was quite a long wait before the maintenance man arrived as he had already gone home for the day. Very inconvenient for us and not a great start to our holiday. As per attached photos we found generally this 2 Bedroom Apartment to be in disrepair, damaged, tired, dirty and mouldy. Eg: Dirty socks and rubbish left on the floor Damaged and stained sofa Cracked basin with very tarnished old taps Rusted and dirty cabinet hinges Kitchen power point that is cracked, dirty and not attached to the wall securely Outdoor furniture that is mismatched and very dirty Exposed and rusted and leaking air-conditioning unit Plaster missing from the wall Damaged tiles Vent hanging from the ceiling Doorstop missing completely Very dirty flycreens and frames Large amounts of mould on the kitchen cabinetry Paintwork peeling on the cornice Heavily stained bed side cabinets Damaged TV table Upholstery damage Badly stained toilet Damaged architraves Damaged soap holder in the shower Very old, dirty and used frying pans Exhaust very dirty and covered in dead insects Very old and used kitchen implements Door handle hanging off the bedroom door Guest Information booklet very old and bubbled Damaged and marked internal timber louvres Ceiling paint drips on lounge wall Dirty kitchen cutlery drawers Dirty verandah door frames Marks on the interior of entrance door Other things not mentioned on this list For the whole duration of our stay our Apartment was not serviced even though it should have been. Our view is that the presentation of the Apartment did not match anywhere near our expectations considering the $4063.50 that we paid. Very disappointed!

Our kids were fascinated with the 4 cartoon characters they have at the resort. We were told that they pay a visit during breakfast hours. Having missed them on two occasions, we wanted to ensure our little ones got to meet them. We were told yesterday that if you come at 8am they will be here in between till 8 30am. We woke up early beside being tired from all Dreamworld activities and made it for breakfast at 8am. Our little girls were so eager to meet them, then the staff made up lies began, they are on their way, they are at the kids club, it's busy today should be here at 9am, we kept waiting till 9 20 still nothing. Then staff at front desk advised they may not come today, hopefully tomorrow. A bunch of non caring staff just going about doing their job not caring the impact of their actions. You made my little ones Cry, Their words 'this is the worst day at a holiday over' so here you go guys wear these disappointed as a badge. This is beside the bed that we got in the room waking up with a backache each morning as it sinks like a tub overnight, it's been gulping neurofen with breakfast each morning Room 3221, yes we are still here - last day but not impressed. This resort has so much it could get right and make it perfect - it starts with caring

I very rarely give a negative review but after reading 1600 reviews before booking this resort thinking it would be fantastic unfortunately I cannot give this more than a 2-star review. We are very disappointed. The room itself was good and clean however there were cockroaches in the kitchen and bathroom. We stayed as a family of 4 in a 2 bedded room and were only given one towel each. One would think that housekeeping would change towels each day but we did not see a housekeeper in our stairwell of rooms once! We had to wash the towels that were in the room when we arrived so they weren't soaking wet and we had no bin bags to change the rubbish over once the bin was full. Checking in - you have to pay a $200 bond regardless. If you are travelling with a larger family, good luck because you go up 4-5 flights of stairs. No there are no lifts. Parking - is free and the parking spot is dedicated to your room number however it's so unsafe with the corners. If people aren't paying attention it's an accident waiting to happen. The kids are- great for the kids. This is why we booked it. They have endless but the 2 kids small slides but if your child is small, again an accident waiting to happen cos they can plough themselves straight into the wall, so this was unsafe. fun Your staff and or lifeguards if you want to call them then are qualified. I had to ask 2 guards where we could get some pool towels only to be told she didn't know because she was new. I'm sorry but do your staff get a work orientation day to tell them where things are if needed etc, no. She had to ask 2 other staff members before we got our answer only to find out we had to walk over to reception which is on the other side of the resort next to the other building to get one. Then, we were charged $5 for each towel. Absolute joke considering we paid $400 a night. Dining-in option at the cafe, I call it a cafe because it wasn't a restaurant. The staff (especially the one with long blond hair) was rude and arrogant towards us because we asked a couple of Qs about the size of the meals and all we got in return was rudeness. ‘MEH’ Food is over priced. We ended up deciding to do the takeaway option as the area is cluttered and too small. It was pretty sad actually, especially again for what you pay. Check Out Day - rude front desk staff. Only one working the desk at a busy time of the day. When I asked if they could take the money out of our meal we billed for the room we were told it wasn't an option and we had to pay the full amount on the spot. Again rude and she had an attitude. Checking out of our room - you are EXPECTED to trace ALL your rubbish. It's too much for house keeping or if you even have housekeepers because we didn't see one the whole time. And.… going down 4 flights of stairs was a total pain and inconvenience, again for $400 a night. We shouldn't be expected to do that. We won't stay again. Location is perfect..the St.James station is about 5 min walk only..shops are all around the hotel. The breakfast spread was good but one thing they should improve is they should have more Halal options available.

Ottimo in tutto. Ci siamo resi benvenuti dal momento in cui siamo arrivati e tutto è stato descritto. Avevamo una stanza ben presentata, pulita, tempestiva e ben attrezzata. La zona della piscina è stata grande e mantenuta senza spot con giardini ben manipolati. Sicuramente resterà qui di nuovo. Se pensate di Coolangatta come una destinazione, mettete questo hotel sulla vostra lista

I had a pleasant stay in Gold Coast. The hotel is close to beach. I can see ocean from the balcony. Room is clean. The downsides are there is stingy smell of renovation in the room, but gladly I can open the balcony door to let the air in. Also, there is huge sound from two exhaust fans on the ground floor, which disturb me much, and is making sound all day. Plus the too upbeat music from swimming pool. Wish the music can be more chill and gentle. Besides from these, the staff are overall very friendly.
