Hotel a Parada de Gatim, Portogallo

We spent three nights at Torre de Gomariz for some rest and relaxation after hiking a portion of the Camino Portuguese, and it was a great choice. Room was very spacious with a nice patio and huge bathroom. Enjoyed a view of the pool and the vineyards in the distance. Bed was very comfortable and it was nice having A/C for our stay. Only complaint about the room was a weird door at the back of the walk in closet that wasn't soundproofed, so often you could hear your neighbors or people walking by. Didn't want to take the car out so we ate all our meals at the property. Breakfast was excellent with both a cold buffet and choice of hot entrees - really enjoyed the pancakes with Nutella. Dinner was on the second floor of the Tower, with a good mix of Portuguese and other offerings. Servings were pretty huge, so we left full every night. It did get loud one evening as there was a tour group taking up most of the restaurant, but fortunately they went to bed earlier than us so it calmed down by dessert. Also did a wine tasting one afternoon, fun to try the various wines and really enjoyed the slight carbonization they use in the white wines. Very surprised when they gifted us with three bottles upon check-out from the hotel, and they came in handy as we were not a huge fan of the wines in Douro or Braga. The spa and pool area are a great offering, especially on rainy days when the outdoor pool isn't possible. We used the steam room and sauna every day of our stay, highly recommend reserving a visit. I also got an excellent massage on the last day of our stay as I was still a bit sore from hiking. Only other issue with our stay was an ill-timed fire alarm at 1:30 in the morning, which took a little time to shut off as most of the staff was still working a wedding. Didn't have a problem falling back to sleep, and the staff nicely gave up 15% off our spending for the inconvenience. Wasn't expecting that, and it was much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in Portugal again.

We arrived too early to check in, but were able to leave our bags, and offered bottles of water. Anna checked us in and was wonderful. The room was spacious and had a small fridge, stovetop, microwave/oven, and dishwasher. The location was right next to the old city. The view from the outdoor patio was priceless. I would highly recommend this guesthouse.

L'hotel si trova nel complesso del Bom Jesus Do Monte, che guarda alla città di Braga dall'alto di una collina. Il complesso è costituito da diverse strutture tra cui un paio di hotel, una chiesa e un ristorante panoramico. Ho soggiornato qui per due notti, con la mezza pensione svolta però nel ristorante panoramico annesso. L'hotel infatti non dispone di ristorante ma di una sala colazione anche abbastanza angusta e con poca scelta. Le stanze sono molto belle, ampie, con il bagno a vista e wc e doccia separati. Letto comodo ma lenzuola secondo me non adatte alle misure del materasso, che regolarmente uscivano fuori durante il sonno e rendevano il tutto molto scomodo. Personale non particolarmente gentile, ho chiesto in prestito un ferro da stiro e mi è stato risposto bruscamente ”no”, senza darmi spiegazioni. Un quattro stelle non può non avere determinati servizi per i clienti. Peccato.

Hotel super centro, piccolo, immagino che appena rinnovato, dato che le strutture erano molto buone, molto simpatico e piacevole tutti i dipendenti, le camere (la 102 )molto bene forse un po 'piccolo, per il mio gusto sarebbe un po' più grande per essere più sgombrato, le che danno alla strada pedonale si ascoltano alcuni rumore quando la gente passa urlando, il buon colazione ha quasi tutto per fare un buon colazione ma la sala è piccola e È necessario chiedere l'ora per colazione. Ma in generale molto bene, non ha garage, ha concertato uno circa 150 /200 metri e c'è un altro pubblico molto grande più o meno alla stessa altezza. Sicuramente ritornerà e lo consiglierei.

Hotel situato nel centro di Braga, agli inizi della via pedonale. Ottimo hotel, ben ristrutturato, con tantissimi ambienti. Colazione buonissima. Camera enorme, con ogni comfort e ben pulita. L’hotel dispone di un parcheggio privato accessibile dal lato strada. Abbiamo usufruito anche della piscina interna. Personale molto professionale e gentile. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

Elegant, historic, family-owned hotel, perfectly located to explore the Centro area mere steps away. Spacious suite with a large, well-appointed bathroom and balcony views overlooking the park below, Jardim da Avenida Centro. Lovely restaurant with a deep garden area at the rear, wonderful integration of architecture both ancient and contemporary, and beautiful food. Absolutely loved the duck! Excellent breakfast included, and excellent value overall. Friendly, gracious and informative, the staff in both the hotel and the restaurant went above and beyond in making our stay the very best it could be - and we ended up staying an extra night. To Ana and Antonio, Luis, Ivone, Fabio and Paulo: muito obrigada...your hospitality, conversation and humor were and are greatly appreciated. We shall return!

Nice renovated hotel at a 12 minutes walk from the city center. There are quite a lot of art objects displayed in the building that once was a mansion. There is a free parking on the premises. The pool is not so deep but nice to cool down after a warm day in the old city.
