This place unfortunately looks nothing whatsoever like the photos advertised. I chose it because it was cheap, but the photos showed a modern bathroom and reasonably looking rooms with sinks, kitchenette etc. A modern bathroom is important to me as a lady traveling. I sure did not get this! The room was something out of the 70's with no modernisation. The shower curtain rail was about to fall down, the beds were so old they had big sags in them, the was only a bowl left to wash up in, not one piece of dinner set matched, the decor was so outdated with old tiles in the bathroom and rusted up loover windows, florescent lights (broken outside my unit where I wanted it for safety), an old in the window air-condition unit that worked for one day and rattled so badly I had to get up and turn it off, after this I couldn't even get it to work, an old rusted fan that was probably my saviour in a hot climate, no hand soap supplied and the beds were not remade after 3 days as advertised. From here it gets worse - at 12 midnight I was awoken by yelling and bashing buy a guy trying to get into my unit. I got up to go to the loo and turned the light on - the looser windows would not work as rusted up, and the next thing he was trying to climb in my toilet window. Being on my own I was terrified and did not sleep the rest of my stay, it was a horrific experience. On a plus the staff followed up on what happened, apologising and were very empathetic to my ordeal.

Abbiamo dovuto portare la nostra barca per il anti-squadra e abbiamo bisogno di un posto per stare. Questo è un hotel più vecchio, a prezzi bassi e non mi aspettavo molto e mi è stato piacevolmente sorpreso. Il check-in è stato facile e la giovane donna alla ricezione era benvenuta e ospitata. La stanza era piccola, ma confortevole e ben riparata. Era molto pulita e il letto era comodo. La stanza era molto calda quando sono arrivato, ma l’aria condizionata funzionava bene per raffreddare. La mia unica critica è che, anche se c'era un bel posto di lavoro, non ci erano punti di potenza vicini e dovevo correre una corda di estensione dai punti di potenza in tutta la stanza per accendere i miei dispositivi. Ci sono stati scatole disponibili, ma non erano state create per avere punti di potenza. Probabilmente vedi questo nelle mie foto. La mattina ho avuto un pranzo conveniente da prendere dal caffè fuori. Il motel era sulla spiaggia e a piedi a piedi per i bar e i ristoranti. Mio marito l'amava e voleva rimanere di nuovo. Possiamo molto raccomandare questo piccolo gioiello sulla spiaggia.

Alla fine del momento abbiamo deciso di rimanere a Townsville per una notte. Abbiamo guardato molti luoghi, ma volevamo davvero qualcosa sulla spiaggia con alcune viste. Abbiamo deciso di controllare l'angolo delle acque sulla spiaggia. Entrai per vedere cosa c'era, e la bella Michelle mi ha fatto vedere la camera da letto prima di andare a casa. Michelle aveva un studio al livello successivo con un balcone, ma ha guardato la piscina, quindi abbiamo scelto la prima scelta. La camera era bella, anche se un tad era uscito. Era evidente che ci erano stati alcuni miglioramenti. Il letto era comodo e aveva una cucina, lavatrice e asciugatrice era un plus. Ci siamo divertiti tanto che abbiamo esteso la seconda notte. Solo i menoni non erano balcone, non c'era polvere da lavare e la notte era molto luminosa con la luce che passava attraverso le tende e le lamiere. Le foto sono state accurate, quindi sapete cosa aspettare. Sicuramente rimarrebbe ancora, anche se un piano superiore con balcone sarebbe meglio e anche bloccare alcune della luce stradale.

We’d stayed here at the Ocean Breeze a year before and thought it was excellent. Clean, comfortable, good value and a spot-on location just off The Strand. Unfortunately management appears to have been on a cost saving mission since. A new card reader is needed for the car park as getting into it was an exercise in complete frustration…our final entry required nearly 5 minutes of swiping before the doors finally lifted. The Wi-Fi in the room was virtually non-existent…the signal from the Anelay restaurant across the road was stronger…and when you could connect the bandwidth was so poor the pages would rarely open. And the AC, well heaven forbid allowing guests to adjust the temperature themselves. This needed to be done from reception, which is not open 24 hours! So if you discover it is too hot in the middle of the night, tough luck sweat it out. Not sure if we’ll be returning.
