Camera Superior in stile giapponese (non fumatori)
Great café with a unique, artistic ambiance that sets it apart from the rest. The atmosphere is both comfortable and stylish, making it an inviting place to relax. The staff are welcoming and efficient, enhancing the overall experience. The coffee is consistently excellent, with a rich flavor that makes each sip enjoyable. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat or a place to socialize, this café is a top choice in Kyoto.

Located high on a hill east of downtown, with spectacular panoramic views of the city and harbour. Parking is available onsite and managed well. Room clean, spacious and well maintained. Room includes a tatami area fitted out in traditional style. Western and futon bed options available. The room also includes a wooden sunken-floor hot spa bath, as well as a shower area. Fridge, kettle and a wide array of in-room accessories are included. Staff professional and very helpful. Front office staff speak some English, with translation apps available when needed. Breakfast is traditional Japanese and high quality. The hotel has a traditional communal hot spring bath about 4m x 4m x 0.5m big enough to fit about 10 adults, but mostly uninhabited when I visited. Yukata and slippers are included in the room for moving to and from the bath. A larger communal bath is located in the adjacent hotel, accessed by a covered corridor. The main limitations of this hotel are the absence of a lift and the location near the top of a high hill at the end of a long narrow road. These are mitigated by only 3 floors and helpful staff keen to carry luggage etc. and an hourly curtesy bus between the hotel and the railway station downtown. I rate this hotel very highly. I haven’t enjoyed a hotel stay as much as this for quite some time.
