Very nice location, I felt like it was very good pricing. They do make up the room every other day, so just need to be prepared for that. Pretty good amenities.
The lack of an established pick up/drop off point will be a little awkward. But otherwise I like the place.

Space is the first hostel of my trip and it’s set the bar pretty high! Staff are lovely, everywhere was always super clean, beds are comfy, towels are provided and you can even grab a fresh one every day if you wish. Location is great, would recommend the Queen Victoria Market for something to do and “pizza pizza pizza” was lush. There’s nothing “on” as such at the hostel but this didn’t bother us. The only thing that would be good is some extra fridges as they were packed full every day and it was hard to put your own food in anywhere. Would definitely come back.

Domenica amatoriale. Nessuna risposta ricevuta.

The room is quite nice and the location is good.
It’s self checkin so I had to wait downstairs for a while as there was no staff and I wasn’t aware of this.
There was a really a noisy alarm in the building across the street from my room and I asked to change room around midnight. The staff aren’t very accommodating and I couldn’t change room. Luckily the noise stopped after a while.
The hotel is okay but I had actually just come from the Brady Hotel at Central Melbourne where the price and location is similar but with much better customer service. I’d suggest skipping the Ibis.

Grazie, team Marriott, saremo sicuramente indietro :)

Choosing Dorsett for my first journey to Australia. Price is rather okay since it is winter. Dorsett located in the city center, which is about a 10-minute walk from Southern Cross Bus Station. There is a model car placing right beside the front door. Front desk receptionists are friendly and it took only couple of minutes to check in. 200 Australian dollar is required as deposit, either by credit card or cash. The room is about 30 square meters, which is big enough for two person. Facilities are fine, but neither disposable items (toothbrush, slipper)nor drinking water were provided. City view could be seen from the window. Swimming pool is at the 7th floor. Housekeeping service of 10 Australian dollar is included in the room price and is refundable for those who do not need it. Food delivery is available but could only be place at the lobby. Remember to take your room key at night in case the front door is locked after certain period. Checking out is also fast and luggage storage service is provided. Overall, living in Dorsett is a good experience.

Good service, great location within CBD, close to Southern Cross and Flinders stations, within free tram zone too. The bed was comfie enough, room small, dated and needed a lick of paint and fridge really noisy. Even at 5 storeys up you can hear traffic, especially sirens. BUT, I wouldn't let that put you off, IF you simply need an affordable base to go explore etc.

A new and charming hotel, in the district of Docklands in Melbourne. Excellent location, very calm and quiet, next to a Tram Station, free ride to several places in the city, including downtown, walking to the Docklands and the Marina. The room was comfortable and specially clean, great king bed, nice shower with good amenities. Amazing infinity pool with a great view, sauna and a equiped fitness center. The breakfast has great quality, excellent food and beverages. The highlight are the staff, very attentive and friendly, the general manager Mr. Christian, is always available and present. One of the best lounge in Marriott Hotels. The M Club has a super nice atmosphere, excellent options for food and drinks, excellent wines and a chef in the morning preparing a very good breakfast. Congratulations to Fazeel and his team, they are ALL spectacular. I recommend André I'll be back. Thanks to all the wonderful human being from this elegant Marriott Hotel.

We arrived out of hours and were expecting trouble however it was a simple phone call and we got our key. We got a great deal on our accommodation, which had more than enough for our needs. The facilities (pool etc) were great and everything in our room worked perfectly. the air con was cold and quiet, the TV was a decent size and the bed was comfortable. The only thing I noticed was the walls (toilet) and curtains (main entrance) are a little dirty (probably due to being a specific room for lots of children?) however this is just fussy.
I will most definitely stay at Discovery Park again without any hesitation.
From check in to check out it was easy, quiet and stress free exactly what I needed

UUtente ospiteQuesto è un bel ristorante. L'interno è molto pulito e grande. Tuttavia, è necessario cucinare i propri pasti o andare a mangiare. La guida è circa 15 minuti.
JJesse YuenSingle person manned the reception so it took 20min to check in with 3 groups in front of me. I had an accessible room which felt strange because the proportions were different but not a problem. There were some stains on the mirror. It was obvious what they were. Use your imagination. ThBreakfast was great. Just walk in and grab a table.
Really good location. 3min walk from Southern Cross where the Skybus drops you off.
UUtente ospiteEven I just spent one night in the hotel, my experience was really good, the service was amazing as the guy from reception is very friendly. The room was smaller than expected but clean that is the most important for me, 7 mins walking distance from the southern station, very convenient location.
UUtente ospiteThe hotel is conveniently located right in the heart of Melbourne near the Spanish Quarter, Bourke Street Mall, and other shopping precincts. The staff are friendly and efficient at check-in. The rooms are good in size with modern amenities and comfortable beds. There is a kettle and small fridge. The bathroom has a bath with a shower, so if you have mobility issues, it's not for you. There is no rail to hold onto when getting in or out, which makes it dangerous, especially as it gets slippery. There is a pool and gyn which were modern and accessible. The room we had faced into the mezzanine of the hotel so you dont get any light from outside, which was strange. The room was very quiet and had a good air conditioner. Overall, we would stay here again, although the lack of being able to see outside wasn't ideal, and if you stayed for more than one night, it could be an issue.
UUtente ospiteGreat facilities, room was really comfortable and spacious. Great buffet breakfast. The gym had the minimum of what you would need to get a nice sweat up if needed. Handy little bar downstairs as well that was really enjoyable.
UUtente ospiteNot recommended for those who value their personal data security and privacy.
Not recommended for internati9nal travellers who may not have enough charge on their phones to complete 3 forms, then download and set up an app that requires constant internet and Bluetooth connections.
Booking required multiple insecure methods of sharing credit card details and identification documents along with 2 forms to fill out with personal details and an app to download in order to gain access to the Building entrance, Elevator, and Apartment.
None of this information was given to me prior to booking. I would not have stayed here if I had known the extent of insecure transmission of personal information and amount of admin and work required just to check in and stay one night. I work in this space and know the risks. Management is putting guests personal data at risks with the excessive documentation requests.
FYI, requiring someone to send credit card PICTURES and ID pictures over email is completely insecure. This is bizarrely at odds with the excessive security to get into the building.
The constant need to carry your phone everywhere or you'd be locked of the apartment or even the whole building was extremely stressful.
In terms of the actual room, once I got in, the bed, kitchen, lounge and floors were clean but the toilet had not been cleaned in a long time. This was not nice. You could see parts under the rim had not been cleaned in years. Toilet had also been recently used and not flushed properly upon arrival. I did not take photos of any of this, it was too gross.
I ended up buying paper cups as the glasses/cups as those supplied were not clean, tried to take a picture but it's hard to see. They were covered in fingerprints and fibres of some kind.
The view was nice and loungeroom was great, study nook was extremely handy for remote work. Balcony tiles are moving and could be a tripping hazard. Laundry was well equipped but did not have time to use it.
CCarvWe booked this new hotel out of curiosity and trust of large brand, but quite disappointed
The hotel located at an area outside t4, next to the big parking building/bus terminal, but there are no/minimum signage/directions leading to the hotel, while only one arrow at the bus terminal pointing at the big building with the large novotel logo, making everyone thinks that we can access the hotel through the well lighted bus terminal with ease, but sadly there is no crossing facilities between the terminal and hotel, you will need to lift your luggages, jaywalking through two car lane and climbing up the lane islands if you dont want to walk back 200m for the unnoticeable correct route; in fact the only route leading to the hotel from the airport is the side walk OPPOSITE to the big arrow with poor lightings and no signage at all. As a tourist with heavy luggage, thanks for offering the chance to weight lifting. When we arrived and reflect the problem, concierge said they also received similar complains. So nothing has been done to correct the nonsense and good luck to all the up coming visitors.
The room is decent to be honest and with a clear view facing the car park building we mentioned earlier, no much to see yet no problem for us too. Bed is soft and comfortable allowing us to have some good rest. However, theres an empty black bottle in the rubbish bin i believed to be the leftover from the last guest, hope the housekeeper can have a closer look in the future.
Some facilities have great designs that i would like to greet the designer/procurement and admire their mastermind for installing those equipment and challenge the wisdom of humankind. For instance: the anti-intuitive shower switch for change to top shower or handheld shower head, it is semi cylinder disguised as part of wall mount of the top shower, which is about 1.9m - 2m from the ground, for those who cant find the switch and not tall enough will have to stick with what was preset. Second, the hot water dispenser at the breakfast bar, you can simply press the two buttons on top and nothing would happen, turns out there is an extra sensor you need to block with your thumb and use another finger to press the buttons on top, this can encourage guests to give up on the hot water if no one is around to ask.
The breakfast is the most disappointing part, frankly all quality are high standard but the choices are few and basic, simply bacons/ eggs/ veges/ salad/ hams (well the mushrooms are very impressive though), there is also a honey hive (with a rectangular frame) but mostly empty at the middle (at the time of 7am) where the side are hard to spoon out, ppl try very hard but the loose stands make it even harder to spoon out, the frame eventually collapse and guest gave up to take the hive. No staff notice/try to fix the collapsed honey hive/ change to a new one during my whole breakfast ( around half an hour) and remain the same when we left. The pancakes supposed to be eat with the honey are dry and inedible imo too.
The price for the hotel is not cheap comparing to the nearing but the standard does not meet up with the price, facilities are new and thats the only advantage on the table.
PS: the hotel offer free shuttle to the terminals too, try to mention and book for your shuttle as there are only 3-4 seats if everyone have large luggages, otherwise the concierge will be surprised you did not ask for this hidden service with no mentioning during check in and no timetable ever provided when you check with them in the morning.
(Famiglie in prossimità).
UUtente ospiteI stayed at the Sheraton because it was surprisingly cheap for the location and star rating. I soon found out why. The sleep quality was not the best - I woke up with a head and neck ache one night and painful for dry eyes the next. The check out experience took the cake though. I was told that “for security reasons” they can only take chip-and-pin payments with a physical card. I was also told this was “standard for all Marriott hotels”. These are blatant lies: I have used tap payments at Marriott hotels on five continents, most recently at a Marriott in Australia just last year. Tap and pay hadn’t gotten less secure since 2022! I’m so used to paying on the phone I’d forgotten the PIN on the physical card. After some arguing I was allowed to swipe-and-sign. So secure! What offends me isn’t so much the backwardness, but the lies to dress up the backwardness as a benefit rather than just cheapness. Never again. Oh and I’m here posting this review again because it turns out negative reviews don’t get passed through to Tripadvisor.
