Stayed here as a Diamond Ambassador in an iconic suite - Check in experience was great, warm welcome, benefits acknowledged and welcome drink provided. Amazing room, ridiculous amount of space, comfortable bed, great little office/working area. Unfortunately, the general level of service/care factor is lacking especially when staying in a room costing over 1k a night! One of my complimentary water bottles was open/used and about half empty, yuck. Later that day I wanted to use my $25 credit on the minibar 200ml bottle of gin (which is listed as inclusive of 4 mixers). Gin was missing from the mini bar I couldn't find it. Called down to reception to ask if it was by request, they assured me it should be there and would send someone up. Waited 2 hours and no one came which frustrated me as I was waiting so called down again and was assured someone was on the way. Someone did arrive with a huge bag full of everything except the gin. When questioned didn't seem to know what I was talking about, I had to point to it on the minibar menu and was met with a very confused expression, he left. Then about 30 minutes later a different person arrives with the gin bottle, success. However upon checkout there were a bunch of mini bar items charged which I hadn't consumed, and in fact were not even missing. I hate having to have that conversation but after only 3 words they were ”happy to remove them” which makes me think this isn't an uncommon occurrence. I later noticed that the mixers were charged as well where as they should have been included with the gin purchase cost, but I couldn't be bothered wasting my time to try and sort it out. Club lounge service was attentive but did fill up and get quite busy in the evenings however my drink was always topped up and the staff there were friendly and engaging. Temperature control seems non-existent in the room and I'm convinced it makes no difference what you set it to. I had my do not disturb on until mid morning, so as I was leaving for the day dropped by reception and said I may have missed housekeeping and could they have someone make up the room. Arrived back a few hours later and it hadn't been done. All up a real mixed bag here, but can't help feel my simple requests were a bother and inconvenience.

La stanza e le strutture erano grandi. amava il letto e lo spazio nella stanza. Solo in fondo è il frigo, doveva spruzzare tutto il cibo dentro. Ma, oltre a questo, è un posto grande per stare.

Gem of a hotel in Melbourne, with all the facilities you'd expect, pool, bar, food, access to parking next door, in the heart of the city without being too busy. The staff were exceptional and the nice touch's made our visit, just that little bit better. Complimentary drinks, chips, lollies, pretzels etc, was a welcome change. All in all, a memorable visit for my 60th birthday.

A quiet short stay. The room is very clean. Would not stay in summer time as it will be very hot. Air conditioning noisy. Was lucky the weather is cool. Location was perfect and tram at door. Friendly guy at reception. Had few issues in room but worth for overnights and short stay. 😊

Siamo rimasti al piano 4 camera 10 sabato sera, siamo arrivati al 2.10 e la nostra stanza non era pronta (stavamo guidando 4 ore) Il ragazzo alla ricezione ha detto circa mezz'ora e ci avrebbe chiamato quando era letto. 3.10 è arrivato e non c'è ancora telefono, quindi abbiamo chiamato gli appartamenti e il ragazzo ha detto che la stanza sarebbe pronta in 10 minuti. Quando ci siamo accolti non ci è stato chiesto niente di vaccinazioni, come per il tuo email inviato la settimana scorsa siamo andati in piedi organizzati, Quattro di noi sedevano per bere, la maggior parte dei bicchieri di fiocchi e di vino erano ricci, alcuni avevano ancora residui di labbro. Non avevamo neanche un asciugamano. Ho preso tre dei bicchieri più sporchi giù per essere sostituiti, egli poteva trovare solo un bicchiere pulito. 3 sono stati portati in seguito, ma sono in procinto di uscire. Ho allegato alcune foto dell'appartamento, assolutamente assurdo. Molti bagni danneggiati dall'acqua e il pavimento fuori dal bagno è tutto ineguale e tutto il tessuto era molto disgustoso. Avevamo la stanza con la finestra, la pista era molto rumorosa, così poco dormito, poi le ore iniziali il bagaglio era vuoto con la maggior parte delle bottiglie che sbattuvano e ci svegliarono molto deludente soggiorno per dire il meno

Stai tranquillo in questo bellissimo hotel. Era il mio compleanno e era bello essere in grado di controllare in anticipo quando siamo arrivati appena dopo 12:00. La nostra camera era fantastica, il letto e le lenzuola divina e la grande bagno con bel gel, sapone, ecc. Abbiamo prenotato il tè pomeriggio e è stato meraviglioso con alcune offerte più insolite dolci. Cocktail e un panino di formaggio dopo quella notte, quando siamo tornati da vedere alcuni eventi di Comedy Festival, ci hanno tagliato la notte in modo bello. Abbiamo avuto un check-out tardivo così tanto tempo per godere il fantastico colazione con tutto quello che si aspettava di essere disponibile. Sembrava che ci fosse una deliziosa soppa di foto-stile per i vegani anche disponibile. Il personale era terribile. Alcuni di loro avevano poco dischi su quello che consigliavano di essere in formazione, ma non sapevi mai - il servizio da tutti era pulito, piacevole ed efficiente. Veramente servizio ad un alto standard di degno di questa bella proprietà. Sì, c'è un grande edificio vicino alla porta, mentre si sta costruendo una nuova stazione sotterranea - non lasciate che vi spenga, non saprete mai che sarebbe successo una volta che siete dentro. Questo è senza dubbio il nostro nuovo hotel preferito a Melbourne - un vero polite ma caldo e amichevole offerto a standard elevati.

The staff were lovely and helpful. The room, as well as being dated, hasn't been properly looked after or thoroughly cleaned in a very long time. When I picked up the face washer after I had hung it over the shower hose, it came off with black marks. On further inspection it was black mould, and the shower hose was still covered in it. I reported this to reception, and they were horrified and ensured that it was cleaned the next day. If that was the end of the signs of poor upkeep, then I would have presumed that it was accidental. But on further inspection it was clear that the upkeep on the room was systemically bad. There were two drawers missing from the small boy in the built-in wardrobe, the clothes rack in the built-in was also falling off, the shelf in the linen closet was covered in cockroach poo and a few dead cockroaches, there was dust so thick that it must have been there for at least a year, there were holes in the wall, parts of the carpet had all of the polyester removed, the silicone around the sink was half missing and mouldy, there were scrapes taking the paint and laminate off walls and the cabinets in the kitchen, places where big chunks of paint (and a layer of plasterboard) missing from the wall, the foot stool was either stained or had multiple bleach spots, clear stains on the carpet, scratches and marks on the paint that didn't look like they had even been wiped, and stains on the mirror. I was staying there on a long weekend, and I wasn't told that there wouldn't be any servicing of the room throughout my entire stay. I just wished I had known this before following the instructions on the bathroom wall that said to put soiled towels on the floor of the shower. Had I known, I wouldn't have put the mouldy face washer on the floor with the other towels. I'd read some other reviews that warned about noise, and I can confirm that the walls are paper thin. I was awoken at 5:30am by the conversation of the north American gentleman in the adjoining room. This was compounded by the pipe that is in the wardrobe, right next to the bed, and without any sound insulation. So I was woken every time the person in the room (or rooms?) above flushes the toilet during the night. I've loved staying in the Punthill apartments around the CBD over the years. They were a quality option at a reasonable price. And these experiences are why I doubted some other reviews that I had read online. I thought that people were overreacting and didn't take simple measures like wearing earplugs when sleeping. But I was proven wrong and I will be very hesitant to book in to any of the locations again.
