Bellissima struttura, pulitissima, ben curata, silenziosa e posizionata in una località molto tranquilla, con una bellissima spiaggia proprio davanti. A 2 minuti dalla struttura è situata la fermata degli autobus che collegano le località principali dell'isola. Noi su indicazione di Cindy (addetta alle escursioni) spesso abbiamo utilizzato l'autobus per muoverci, senza alcuna difficoltà, proprio grazie alle sue precise indicazioni. Il personale è a dir poco fantastico, molto gentile, sempre attento e disponibile per ogni tipo di esigenza. A cominciare da Sheila la signora dolcissima che tutti i giorni puliva il nostro appartamento (gli asciugamani venivano cambiati tutti i giorni e le lenzuola ogni 3 gg). Fatima e Nelly alla reception, molto professionali ma nel contempo gentilissime, che sono state sempre disponibili. Un'organizzazione precisa e puntuale, dove tutto funziona. E infine Cindy che con grande sapienza ha saputo indirizzarci nel fare delle escursioni bellissime, ed ha anche soddisfatto una nostra richiesta specifica (fare snorkeling con le tartarughe). Bravissima e simpaticissima Cindy! Consiglio vivamente questa struttura anche per il rapporto qualità prezzo. Grazie per queste meravigliose vacanze!

Non ci sono molte recensioni su questo hotel, quindi te lo presenterò seriamente. Abbiamo prenotato la tipologia di camera Nirvana. Questa tipologia di camera è solo per adulti. Si trova nella zona più lontana sul lato dell'hotel. C'è anche un ristorante separato per la colazione poche persone Questo è il motivo per cui questa volta ho scelto Le Méridien. I piatti principali nel ristorante per la colazione sono à la carte e sono molto buoni. Lo scenario in riva al mare è particolarmente bello. La mancanza di folla e tranquillità è davvero il vantaggio più grande. È davvero adatto per sdraiarsi. La stanza è lunga e snella e sul balcone sul retro c'è una piccola piscina che non viene utilizzata. La stanza avrebbe dovuto essere rinnovata. Si vedono i segni della ristrutturazione, ma non è squisita. L'ambiente e i servizi dell'hotel sono abbastanza buoni. Ci sono molti articoli gratuiti nella casa sulla spiaggia. Abbiamo preso una barca con il fondo di vetro e abbiamo fatto snorkeling al largo. La cena a buffet dell'hotel non era davvero deliziosa e non in linea con i gusti cinesi. Non ho osato provare altre opzioni. Nei giorni successivi abbiamo guidato per 2 ore andata e ritorno per mangiare cibo cinese fuori. L'ambiente dell'hotel è molto bello e l'esperienza complessiva del soggiorno è buona.

You need to manage your expectations when you book a stay at Oceans Villas. You might have watched the YouTube videos showing the hotel. But it's fair to say that these videos show the icing on the cake and not the core ingredients. If you saw two South Africans touring the hotel, be warned that they've shown the best parts and avoided showing the worst parts. It's a 3 star establishment. And that means you're going to have to put up with a property that was built circa 1980s. There were signs of wear and tear everywhere. As you walk through the front door, some parts of the villas needed a bit of filler and a lick of paint. Some of the furniture had seen better days and our shower door leaked every time we took a shower. But the villa was clean. The beds were comfortable and the villa had amenities that you wouldn't expect such as a safe, hair dryer and a microwave too. A bottle of mineral water was also provided on arrival and parking outside the villas was a nice touch. As for the grounds, the gardens are kept well. It's not going to blow you away but again it's 3 star. The swimming pool didn't look as clean as we'd like and we opted not to go for a dip. The cushions on the seats were littered with stains from previous guests spilling drinks and food. The beach was decent. The view out to the bay was spectacular and you certainly won't be disappointed. You can swim but when we stayed, the sea was choppy but that's not the hotel's problem. What's great about Oceans Villa is its position. You're only 5 minutes away in a car from the best public beaches. Namely Trou aux Biches, Mon Choisy, Pereybere and La Gaulette. So you're spoilt for choice. We'd like to praise the service at the hotel. The kitchen staff and serving staff were really accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The entertainment was particularly good, and you'll certainly be tapping your toes and most likely dancing. Lastly the food. One word MSG. There's a good selection of food but too much MSG added to the food. Every morning, we woke up to that awful salty taste on our tongues. So as you can gather there's some good parts to Oceans Villas but you're going to have to put up with some bad parts. if you're on a budget and happy to stay in a 3 star establishment where you can experience the beaches in the North, it's a good place to stay. Would we stay there again? I'd most likely opt for a self catering apartment. We felt for the money, we'd get better quality of facilities but then again we'd have to prepare our food.

The hotel is in need of a makeover, some of the fittings a little outdated. The pool is little more than a plunge pool though the setting is superb. The breakfast is average, so much so that whilst my wife went for breakfast most days I stayed in the room and just had yoghurts. The minibar doesn’t work and nothing is cold in it. There’s no room service menu though they allow outside deliveries for guests. That’s all the bad points. Now for the good points. The rooftop bar is relaxed and atmospheric, the sunsets there are sensational and the cocktails are superb. The service from the staff was incredible. Always helpful and informative and willing to go the extra mile to make you welcome and that makes up for the shortcomings of the actual building itself. Also the location close to Perrybere beach and a short taxi ride to Grand Baie is pretty good too, though it’s a long taxi ride from the airport.

Il soggiorno ha pienamente soddisfatto le nostre aspettative. La struttura è accogliente e confortevole, in particolare le camere da letto sono molto spaziose e pulite (pulizia della stanza 2/3 volte al giorno). Inoltre, l'albergo offre una vasta gamma di ristoranti al suo interno. Noi avevamo la formula ”half board” (mezza pensione) che prevede la possibilità di scegliere tra 3 degli 8 ristoranti a disposizione. Cibo ottimo in tutti i ristoranti che abbiamo provato e adatto ad ogni esigenze e necessità. Tuttavia, nella mezza pensione, a differenza dell'all inclusive, non sono incluse bevande alcoliche (vino/birra) ma sono considerati come extra. Anche per quanto riguarda la spiaggia, nulla da segnalare. é molto lunga e i lettini sono comodi, anche se al mattino conviene ”prenotarsi” i lettini per evitare di restare senza (cosa che però a noi non è mai capitata) essendo la struttura dotata anche di 3 piscine con annessi lettini. Evidenzio che l'albergo è situato ad est, quindi il sole tramonta molto presto e già verso le 4 non c'è più sole sulla spiaggia. Nonostante ciò, per fortuna, non ci siamo mai annoiati essendo l'albergo dotato di molte attività di intrattenimento. Sono infatti incluse attività acquatiche come sci nautico, boat glass (barca con vetro sotto per vedere il fondale), gonfiabili, ma anche attività come minigolf, bocce, ping pong e campi da tennis. Sono a disposizione, a pagamento, anche delle biciclette. Noi abbiamo utilizzato molto anche la palestra che offre una vasta scelta di macchinari. Unica pecca che segnalo è il servizio di organizzazione delle escursioni. Poco tempestivo ed efficiente, dovevamo spesso rincorrere noi il ragazzo che se ne occupava.

My daughter and I were at the hotel from the 27th April to the 2nd May . The welcome was great but I don't drink ice tea and no alternatives were provided . I was disappointed that there was no complimentary water available in the room. I would highly recommend that you take your own water, snacks and alcohol as we found it quite pricy. The room was spacious with a stunning view , the beach is literally a few steps away. The staff at the water sports centre were very friendly and respectful and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Try parasailing it was exhilarating! The food could be more spicy , the curries were bland and needed a kick. The marlin carpaccio was absolutely delicious . I was really impressed that I could get almond milk for my morning coffee:-) . The best part of our stay was meeting Urvi who coordinates the entertainment, she is friendly and makes everyone feel like an extended family. She was very professional and friendly and gave us the best time ever. We thoroughly enjoyed dancing and our music tastes were well accommodated. Urvi has the potential to lead , she is young, dynamic and driven- her passion for what she does was highly evident.
