I had a lovely stay at the Veranda Tamarin - the resort, decor, facilities and layout exceeded my expectations. The all inclusive package was very good value for money although it would have been better if there was a wrist band which signified to staff that guests were all inclusive so that we didn't have to continually sign for every drink. At weekends the music and partying from the beach was loud as the property is very nearby and obviously the resort can't control the volume of this however the bar music was also loud and could maybe have stopped at midnight rather than 2am. The restaurant and bar staff were all very friendly and helpful. On the all inclusive package you were able to eat with a subsidy in the a la carte restaurant which was good and you also got money off trips booked through the hotel which was also good value. The spa treatment (massage) I had was disappointing and also overpriced in my view.

Wow what an amazing place!! I booked this hotel last minute for a break for some rest and sunshine and I was NOT disappointed! ✔️ Free delicious welcome drink (lemongrass) and cold towel ✔️ Massive shower in the bedroom ✔️ The staff are so friendly and hospitable ✔️ USB ports and English plugs (no need for an adapter if you’re from the UK) ✔️ So much is free e.g. Teabaz, snacks at the bar at 18:30, glass bottomed boat, snorkelling… ✔️ Free drinking water ✔️ Never stayed in a hotel with proper coffee in the room before! - ground coffee and cafetière!! Soooo good and beats those gross instant sachets. ✔️ Absolutely stunning sea view from my balcony! ✔️ It’s quite a small and intimate place which I liked, the staff remembered my name and room number which made me feel special ✔️ THE FOOD!!!!! Omg it was incredible!!! Always so much choice!! And if for some bizarre reason nothing takes your fancy on the daily buffet, the chef will rustle something up for you in the kitchen. I’d read reviews before coming about how people wanted more choice for food, but I honestly did not understand this - there was always soooo much choice and such a range of delicious things I never got bored. 👏 The most positive thing for me was the hotel’s ban on single use plastic and their impressive ethos to protect the environment - such an amazing thing and it needs to be supported! If there is only one reason for you to go to this hotel this should be it! They have a ‘bulk shop’ where you can collect little glass jars and stock up on stuff - what an awesome idea. A few negatives: ✖️ The cleanliness could have been better - there were stains on the towels and sheets. Also the pool was always dirty. ✖️ The wifi was pretty weak and I couldn’t get it in my room - I suppose if you want a week technology free it’s a good thing! TOP TIPS: 👉 If you don’t want to use the reusable water bottle the hotel provides you may want to bring your own - I did and was very glad I did 👉 They provide crepes/pancakes every morning for breakfast and at tea time from the street food van but they don’t have Nutella! If you can’t have your pancakes without Nutella I suggest bringing some of those little sachets. 👉 I brought quite a lot of snacks with me - didn’t eat any 😆 You can get delicious snacks from the bulk shop like dried mango, nuts, sweet stuff, and it’s all local. Also I ate so much at breakfast I was full most of the morning! 👉 I was glad I didn’t go full inclusive - I went half board and only needed that. For lunch I ate some of the delicious street food and it was so cheap! 👉 I went as a solo female traveller and felt perfectly safe, there were several other solo females there too.

Abbiamo visitato la penisola di Le Peninsula in ottobre e abbiamo avuto un ottimo soggiorno. Eravamo davvero in grado di rilassarci e di rilassarci con una vista perfetta sulla spiaggia. Il personale era amichevole, pulito e buono cibo. Abbiamo avuto un ottimo soggiorno e vorremmo visitare nuovamente questo paradiso, e abbiamo avuto un ottimo guidatore, il signor Ritesh Gaungoo, che potevamo raccomandare molto. Egli è andato oltre e oltre per soddisfare le nostre esigenze in termini di luoghi che volevamo vedere e introdurre nella cultura locale, assicurando sempre che fossimo sicuri e ben curati. Ha lavorato più ore di solito per lavorare in tutti i luoghi turistici che volevamo visitare.

Albergo alberghiero con un bel ufficio, un buon colazione e camere confortevoli. Situato a circa 30-minute camminare sulla spiaggia, ma con alcune camere con vista sul mare e servizio di navetta gratuito, l'hotel è circondato da case private e ha un senso suburbano nei dintorni. Ci sono parcheggi per alcune auto, quindi alcuni ospiti lo usano come base da cui viaggiare al giorno. È possibile camminare solo 5 minuti dalla strada principale verso la città dove si può prendere un autobus verso Flic per circa 20 rupie o l'altra strada verso Port Louis e oltre per non più di 50 rupie.

Sta' per terminare il nostro soggiorno di 12 gg in questa piccola oasi di pace. Volevamo girare un po' tutta l'isola e avendo noleggiato un'auto questo hotel ci è risultato un buon compromesso sia come posizione, sia perché dotato di parcheggio gratuito custodito. Noi avevamo una camera vista mare e piscina, perciò abbiamo potuto apprezzare meravigliosi tramonti dalla nostra terrazza. Ottima e attenta pulizia della stanza. Camera dotato di angolo cottura attrezzato (microonde, bollitore, frigo/freezer e piccoli utensili). Bagno con doccia davvero spaziosa, no bidet. Il ristorante è vista mare qui servono la colazione, pranzo e cena. Noi avevamo la formula con colazione inclusa ed abbiamo apprezzato il servizio ”alla carte” ciò che scegli viene preparato al momento. Lo staff è sempre disponibile e cordiale Abbiamo usufruito del servizio di prenotazioni escursioni (brochure in camera) proposte da Cindy che si è dimostrata veloce e disponibile nell'organizzare i tour scelti, di buon livello Una nota di merito ed un infinito grazie al personale della reception, in primis a Noel, parla perfettamente l'italiano, ci ha supportato davvero tanto. Grazie a Yanish per la sua simpatia e a Sophie e Jean per i loro sorrisi. Tutti sempre disponibili hanno fatto in modo che potessimo sentirci a nostro agio, quasi in famiglia
