"Crowded breakfast buffet during CNY and it’s annoying with flies flying around the food all the time. There were only a few SUP boards and sometimes I had to wait for one. Some bikes were in bad conditions like flat tires or rusted wheels. Extremely limited choices for in room dining! Staff were generally helpful except one guy in the reception to whom I asked for the key to to the arrival and departure Lounge but he gave me an invalid one!"

"Positioned as one of the more luxurious offerings on the island, the Regent is a good mix of luxury and fun having many daily complimentary activities to add to the many facilities that they already have. The afternoon cruise (which is an add on) was well staffed and the service team made the experience particularly enjoyable (from paddle boarding to fishing). While the beach was very clean, this is shared between the other IHG properties like the intercontinental next door making this feel less exclusive for the price tag of the hotel. Overall a great experience but the upcoming Park Hyatt will be an interesting alternative for guests looking to spend within the same price range."

"Having stayed at Regent prior to the stay here, I would say the main differential would be the warmth in staff service found here, amazing beach with finer sands and clearer water, and the colonial touch to the rooms. Of course the kiss of the sea show also adds to the experience, especially the last 5mins of firework, what a blast indeed. Rarely had the chance to have firework blasting overhead so close up. Last but not least, want to give a HUGE shoutout to Kaori - starting from the very second of me stepping into the hotel compound, she has paid tremendous care to tend to my mom’s and my needs, and really went above and beyond to make sure we enjoy our stay here. Infinite gratitude to her and she would be the reason why I would want to revisit JW in near future ＜3"

"Arriviamo molto tardi il giorno, i bambini sono molto felici quando entrano nella stanza finché non c'è una stanza che si rompe l'aria condizionata e sopra quella del letto c'è sabbia all'interno. Il peggiore è il giorno dopo il servizio in camera l'altro letto ha sabbia e fanno solo letto non cambiano il letto per il servizio in camera. Una parte delle nuove toletta puzza di fumo, così attenta quando le usa. Penso che solo la mia stanza mi incontro come 3. Ma non so di altre. Servizio in camera richiede 1 orario che è piuttosto standard. L'acqua della villa è forse da un serbatoio sopra l'edificio, posso sempre profumare e gustare la polvere dall'acqua, e l'acqua calda uscirà tutti contemporaneamente. C'è un incidente che ci hanno mandato in un posto sbagliato per colazione, che è buono, ma non ci hanno immediatamente mandato indietro alla destra, e lasciamo aspettare un altro bug. Condizionatore per capelli è scappato appena dopo 3 notti (uno 1 l'ha usato, il che significa che non hanno controllato e riempito) La qualità dell'hotel è di solito di circa 3 stelle, ma i servizi della camera rispondono molto rapidamente. La notte si ripara l'aria condizionata (anche molto rumorosa, ma penso che dovrebbero assicurarsi che la stanza sia in ordine prima dell'arrivo dell'ospite) Arrivano molto rapidamente se si richiede asciugamani/acqua. Se non li chiedi, non ti forniranno. Per quanto riguarda il letto, penso che vengano con sabbia, perche' anche la sostituzione ha ancora sabbia."

"Overall, our stay was enjoyable. The villa was spacious and perfect for a family trip — clean and set in a beautiful environment. However, there are a few things to note: If you’re afraid of bugs, this may not be the best choice. We encountered quite a few bugs inside the villa, and I even stepped on millipedes twice during our 4-night stay. Unfortunately, while housekeeping tidied the room and changed towels, they didn’t clean the blood stains left behind. The water pressure was quite weak throughout the stay. Breakfast was great, with a good variety. But I did notice some hygiene issues — for example, a few guests picked bread with their hands instead of using the tongs provided, and there was no staff around to remind or guide them. Front desk service needs improvement. When we bought cable car tickets through the hotel, they had to take photos for the entrance process. However, the staff member didn’t give any signal or communication when the photo was taken, which caused confusion. During checkout, it was raining. We had one suitcase, one hand-carry bag, and a plastic shopping bag. The staff placed our hand-carry bag directly on the wet ground, making the bottom dirty, while they put the plastic shopping bag on top of the suitcase — this seemed careless. They also asked what our plans were after checkout (our flight was at night), and we mentioned we might try the hotel spa. But instead of assisting, the staff just told us we had already paid and could go pay directly at the spa. They didn’t give us any further information — no directions, opening hours, or what services were available. It gave us the impression that once you’ve checked out, they’re no longer interested in helping. Tips for future guests: • Bring extra swimsuits if you plan to swim multiple days. There’s no dryer or drying rack unless you pay for laundry, and sudden rain is common. • The hotel offers some activities like kayaking and yoga, but these are often fully booked, so try to reserve early."
