UUtente ospiteWhat an amazing stay! It exceeded all expectations. The place is super nice with design interior, rooms are warm, spacious and comfortable. The whole place is modern, yet has a very traditional authentic feel and feels serene.
The staff is very attentive, caring and fulfills your every need - they make you feel welcome, and explain everything to you very well even if you are a foreigner, there was no problem communicating in english.
You are guaranteed 2 private stays in the private onsen spa of your chice - one in the evening and one in the morning, the time slots are more than enough to cover guest capacity and you have choice. The public onsen is pretty awesome too, although i felt so relaxed after private onsen for so long i went there just because of curiosity lol.
The dinner and breakfast are HUGE and are SUPER tasty. Excellent products and execution, it was my first time tasting a5 wagyu. I recommend you do not eat lunch before coming to the ryokan for dinner, maybe just breakfast or something small because you will want to eat everything in this amazing meal set. I still feel kind of full 1 day after checking out.
The hotel has nice common areas with free beverages, board games, ping pong ans some slot machines for entertainment. You can reserve karaoke room or get massaged in the automatic massage chairs. After we chcecked in at 3pm we did not need to go anywhere away from the hotel and just enjoyed our time there.
If you want to book very specific timeslots for the private spa come in at that 3pm, because people queue up 30 min before in the lobby. Although i felt this was not really necessarry because like i said, the capacity is calculated well and you are guaranteed 2 entramces with available time slots. The first time slot starts at 4pm and is in 1hr intervals - with 5 available onsens up until the night. Morning onsen had plenty of free slots.
They also offer free shuttle bus and it was always quick, we even called from public telephone in Arima when before checkin and had no problems arranging pickup in english.
What i wish is if they were a little bit more flexible with breakfast times, because you also reserve a time slot but it's not like it's a course meal but traditional breakfast + buffet and you have to decide at the check in, which is kind of soon to think about when you want to have morning meal, but it's not too big problem. I guess it is a way to prevent everyone rushing in 5 min before closing time like some people do. The breakfast has plenty of variety and you even get a preheated own grill!
Overall, we couldn't pick a better place for our visit in Arima, we are so relaxed and it was oje of the best places we have ever been to!

I can feel that a lot of thought has been put in when they came up with services/things the hotel guests might like to have eg extensively long hrs for public bath, free ramen for supper, free icecream after bath, free yakult kinda drink for morning, massage chair, manga comic books to read, free dessert and water in fridge in room ….and the hotel is close to merikan park as well as train station! Absolutely loved my stay!

Tthanut07The Location of hotel is very near to Ikuta Shrine and the nightlife of Kitanocho, where is within easy walking distance. The room is clean but too tiny. the bathroom also provided the bathtub. Breakfast is good but not much of choices. Overall, it's good hotel.

Recentemente sono rimasto al Sotetsu Fresa Inn Kobe Sannomiya, mentre l'hardware dell'hotel è buono, alcune politiche e lacune di servizio hanno inciso in modo significativo sul comfort del mio soggiorno.
Da un lato, le norme di igiene sono eccellenti, la stanza era senza spot e molto moderna, che è sempre il fattore più critico per me durante il viaggio. Voglio anche esprimere il mio apprezzamento per il sistema di manutenzione dei bagagli. Possibile immagazzinare i bagagli in modo sicuro e facile, prima e dopo l'ingresso, è stato un grande aiuto, permettendomi di esplorare Kobe liberamente senza il carico di bagagli pesanti.
Tuttavia, i viaggiatori internazionali devono essere consapevoli di una grotta importante: questo è un hotel strettamente ”senza contanti”. Ho cercato di pagare in contanti per evitare le commissioni bancarie, ma è stato rifiutato. Mi sono costretto a usare la mia carta VISA, Ciò che voleva dire è che sono stato colpito con le commissioni di transazione e di cambio stranieri che ammontavano a circa un costo aggiuntivo del 5% durante il mio viaggio. Ho trovato questa politica molto rigida e frustrante per gli ospiti che preferiscono utilizzare il contante.

La nottata tardiva ha causato un inutile problema, e il servizio di manutenzione non ha prestato attenzione ai dettagli; anche se il mio Yukata (spazzo) era chiaramente usato e lasciato per cambiarlo, il personale non lo ha sostituito con un nuovo.
In generale, Sotetsu Fresa Inn offre un ambiente molto pulito, ma la mancanza di servizi di base all'interno della stanza e la rigorosa politica di pagamento rende difficile per me raccomandare pienamente ai viaggiatori che cercano di gestire il loro bilancio e la loro comodità.

TThe Travel HunterLa stanza era grande e pulita, con tre letti confortevoli che lo rendevano ideale per le famiglie. La luce naturale e la vista sono state aggiunte all'atmosfera rilassante. Il personale era amichevole, attento e tutto il resto era ben fatto da check-in a check-out.

With the exception of a grumpy Japanese reception lady on afternoon of 1st February everyone was great. Shout out to the Cleaning staff they were fantastic, room safe , 4 great pillows for a double room single stay, filtered water on each floir and free coffee tea at lobby. 7 to 8 minutes walk to Sanomiya or Shin Kobe.. This will be my choice stay when I am in Kobe next time .

LL W CI found the rooms surprisingly spacious and comfortable for Japan, easily accommodating my needs with great lighting and bedding. I was impressed by the excellent cleanliness and appreciated the professional, English-speaking staff who helped me with local tips and luggage. While I enjoyed the convenient facilities like the private bath areas and free amenities, I did notice some areas where the hotel could update older fixtures or be more consistent with daily maintenance.

UUtente ospiteLocation is great as it is practically adjacent to the Sannomiya train station. However, there is a major scale construction going on now, right exactly in front of the hotel and if you are not observant, it could easily slip your sight. Also note there are two Tokyu Rei hotels nearby each other and if you are taking a taxi from Shin Kobe station, remember to clearly specify the destination is Sannomiya Tokyu Rei and not the nearby one in Moto Machi which the driver brought us to.
As is typical of most hotels in Japan, even though we had a twin room, space was rather limited and we barely had enough to even open up a medium size luggage bag let alone two.
A big plus point was food options were everywhere and all within walking distance, with many eateries just directly behind the hotel and more as you walk down the main road leading to a row of various restaurants and various eateries for all budgets.
Check-in was of the touch machine kind which is typical of Japan now and staff were at hand to help and guide along.
They were also especially helpful providing useful information as to where to go for a good meal and how to get to other places of interests.
Given the proximity to train station, the food options around and the price we paid, Kobe Sannomiya Tokyu Rei is a good choice for a stay in Kobe.
