UUtente ospiteOne of the better (if not the best) hotel chains I’ve stayed at in Taiwan. I’ve visited Taiwan about 10 times and stayed here for 2 nights, and overall I was very satisfied with the experience.
They provide free bicycles (3 hours limit), which is useful for getting around Hualien. Breakfast has a good spread, and there are complimentary ice cream and drinks available in the lobby around the clock. We didn’t realise they also offer late-night supper from 7pm to 9pm, which was honestly as good as a proper dinner buffet, with a good mix of Western and Chinese dishes and even live entertainment.
The room was spacious and well maintained, with no hygiene concerns. Shower water pressure was good. Noise levels were generally fine, though louder sounds like furniture movement could occasionally be heard.
The hotel is conveniently located near a convenience store, restaurants, KTV, and a cinema, and it’s about a 10-minute walk from the station. You can also cycle to the night market within 15 minutes, making it super easy to get around the main area without getting a taxi.
Overall, a very good stay and very good value for money. While a gym would be nice, I would definitely consider staying at other branches on future trips.

HHSIAO CHINGGrande esperienza, nella foresta e nella ruggine, assorbire il fineto e il paesaggio naturale. Le strutture e il personale di servizio dell'hotel sono molto gentili e amichevoli, perché la posizione geografica è collegata, i punti di ristorazione sono tutti godono dell'hotel, e i cibi sono anche molto caratteristici. Ti piace il cibo selvatico per cena 😋, l'intero hotel ha un sapore di profumo, non so che non è per guidare la larva!

TTuticaThe hotel is located just in front of the bus station, really convenient when you wanto to travel by bus or by train as it is also closeby. The room size is really good, the breakfast too abd they even have bicycles to use for 4 hours for free. Recommended!

UUtente ospiteOverall a good experience (except one thing - see in the bottom). The location is somewhat central and on the walking promenade, but not very close to the railway station or the waterfront. About 25-35 min walk to the railway station but still okay. About 15 min to the waterfront.
Food options: there are a couple of local restaurants right near across from the promenade, including a noodle shop, a tempura donburi and a fried seafood place - all along the promenade. There's also a PX Mart not too far away, about 5 min walk.
The rooms are spacious and clean, very new renovation (as of 2025, seems like 2023-2024), no fridge in the room (on the first floor only), but there's a kettle. The bed was somewhat stiff but okay.
Overall felt like great value for the location and the quality, and especially the room size.
The only drawback - Easy to fix - was the towels. There was no proper size bathroom towels on my stay in May 2025. The small towels are rather insuficcient for showering.

MMichael H..Molto positiva esperienza. L'alloggio è molto bello se si cerca un ostello decente a Hualien (anche se potrebbe sembrare un po 'scorrere dall'esterno).
La terrazza superiore del tetto è bello per una tazza notturna e il caffè/tea 24 ore è un plus.
La comunicazione con il personale del servizio frontale varia molto, a seconda delle competenze linguistiche individuali del personale in servizio, ma non è mai stata una questione reale.
Inoltre, siamo stati molto sorpresi di avere un uomo tedesco lì il giorno in cui ci siamo iscritti.

UUtente ospiteL'intenzione temporanea di prenotare il giardino di fiori per una notte è 100% compatibile con l'immagine. La mancanza di parcheggio negli Stati Uniti è che non c'è pianificazione e guida;
Molte piccole cose possono giocare nel giardino di Yan, e anche le strutture di palla di Yan, volare e altre possono divertirsi con i bambini. La colazione è anche ricca. Ci sono giardino di Yan, che è consigliabile!

TTobias TDurante il mio recente viaggio a Hualien, ho avuto l'occasione unica di rimanere all'Albergo della Peace Prison Cafe Inn, che ha superato le mie aspettative. Quando sono arrivato, il tema della prigione mi ha attirato immediatamente l'attenzione. Le camere erano progettate per resistere alle celle carcerarie, che hanno aggiunto un elemento intriguante e immersivo al mio soggiorno.
Una cosa che mi è apparsa è l'assenza di un servizio di accoglienza tradizionale, ma per ottenere l'ingresso, tutti gli ospiti devono fare chiamare il numero di contatto fornito, che aggiunge un toccamento di mistero all'esperienza. La signora che lavorava lì era eccezionalmente utile e paziente, anche prendendo il tempo di spiegare come usare le strutture in cinese.
Come un solo viaggiatore, non potevo aiutare, ma apprezzare le vibrazioni che il luogo esulta, soprattutto perché sono un fan del terrore. Ogni notte, mi trovai immerso in un'atmosfera che mi riempiva perfettamente il gusto. Non è spesso che si incontra un ostello che offre un ambiente così unico e emozionante.
La pulizia è sempre una priorità per me, e sono stato felice di constatare che il Peace Prison Cafe Inn Hostel non è stato deluso in questo aspetto. Le camere sono state ben mantenute, assicurando un soggiorno confortevole e piacevole. La comoda posizione dell'ostello è stata anche un grande plus, rendendomi facile esplorare e godere di tutto ciò che Hualien ha da offrire.
In conclusione, se siete un viaggiatore avventuroso che cerca una sorta di esperienza, consiglio vivamente di controllare il Peace Prison Cafe Inn Hostel. Con le sale con temi carcerari, personale utile, ambiente aereo e posizione conveniente, è una scelta ideale per chi vuole aggiungere una svolta eccitante al loro viaggio. Fidati di me, non sarete delusi!

@@travel_with_the_sunIt's clean, it's close to the train station, where you can rent a scooter to explore Taroko National Park, also have a gas station next door to refill your scooter and you are next to the main road to go to the National Park. There is enough stuff to cook yourself something. Communication with the landlord on self check-in went well and I could check-in earlier because my bed was free, actually I was the only guest in the dorm on my first of two nights.
It was calm and the entire hostel & bathroom was very clean. I liked, that you can buy razors, one-way towels, toothbrush kit for a small fee, even if I didn't need it.
The only downside, and that's why I gave it -3 stars in amenity was, that the mattress was so hard, it felt like sleeping on the floor. The room had a bit of strange moisture smell, but I could get used to it quickly. If there would be a thicker, less hard mattress, that place would get total points.
On the back door / balcony you have a nice view of the mountains. (The picture attached is taken from the road, but if you crop the lower half, it's what you see)
