Good location. Helpful staff. The onsen opening till late was really great. Breakfast was a bonus The only thing was the room doesn't have a real window and they should've made that clear in the description

Wonderful design of the hotel. Love their little onsen bath experience as well Convenient to walk to four Jio their main shopping st and duck river.

I recently stayed at Chapter Hotel in May, and while my stay was pleasant, what truly impressed me was their post-check-out service.   After realizing I had left a shirt in the wardrobe of room, I contacted the front desk with little hope. To my surprise, Jiyoung Jun responded promptly, located the item, and arranged international shipping to China with clear instructions, even double-confirmed my postal code and handled everything professionally.   I’m deeply grateful for their honesty and willingness to help guests beyond their stay. This level of service is rare and reflects the hotel’s true commitment to hospitality.   If you’re looking for a hotel that treats guests like family, this is it. Amazing stay at The Chapter Kyoto, it's just a minute walk from the centre of things in Kyoto on a quieter end. Would definitely recommend and come back to stay again. Amazing facilities and room too!

Had a very comfortable and pleasant stay, best hotel during our trip to Japan. 7/11 and subway station near by. Hotel has coin laundry machine, which is very helpful. Onsen is good, but water is just regular hot water. Thank you!

It is a nice hotel in a good location, and all the staff can speak fluent English, which is a bonus in Japan. However, I was quite disappointed with the room, specifically the window. The window was completely covered, offering no outside view at all—likely due to the close proximity of another building. This made the room feel dark and enclosed, which was quite depressing, especially for a longer stay.

Convenient location near the train station and shopping district, yet was not too busy or noisy. Facilities, namely the onsen and gym, were basic but well-maintained.

Terrible and very rude staff named Linda. Arrived early around 12pm and got confirmed for an upgrade but had to wait for the room. After we went back around 4pm for checking in again they didn’t give us any upgrade so this rude Linda staff came and talked to us and asked us to wait for AROUND 1hr and gave us another room to wait in. We waited for more than an hour so we called and checked whether the room was ready yet and again Linda told us the room wouldn’t be ready until 6pm but if we wanted we can get the normal room instead. We had already waited for more than an hour at this point. We went down to the reception to check with them again and this Linda told us that room wasn’t ready as she already informed us when we arrived that it would take MORE THAN an hour to get it ready. She said she didn’t say AROUND AN HOUR BUT MORE THAN AN HOUR and tried to teach us basic English instead of doing her job to get the room ready asap. In the end we got our room at 6pm!!! Wasted whole afternoon waiting for this room getting misinformed by very rude staff.
