Hotel in zona Jardim / Praça, Kuala Lumpur

A budget 'boutique' hotel a couple of minutes walk from Jalan Alor food Street and the bars of Bukit Bintang? A trendy hotel stay for little more than £20, the price of 2 pints of beer in the surrounding area!? Can that be possible? Well, yes, just about. The hotel is tucked away in a side street behind the food street and a ***** of massage shops- when walking here you'll run the gauntlet of 30 kids per shop trying to encourage you to take an overpriced massage. The street is urban gritty but funky- all the buildings are painted in street art, including the Melange hotel which has a cute kitten peering into its windows. It's a thin, six storey block with glass frontage. After an elaborate check-in process and the usual addition of mysterious extra taxes you always get in Malaysia, we were assigned a room on the 5th floor. The impression I got having checked out all the floors is that floors 1 and 2 (shiney wood panelled corridor) and 3 and 4 (swishy curtain covered corridors) are probably better standard than floors 5 and 6 (painted corridors slightly stained carpets). However our room was okay- fridge, big TV, a/c, large comfy bed, good sized bathroom with separate shower room and the best shower we had on this 5 week trip. The room had a window with views of the city skyline over the rooftops and the scruffy tenement building in front. I enjoyed watching KL's infamous rats make their way up the side of the building and in through people's windows. Our room seemed clean enough but it was let down by easily fixable things like staining on the funky white bed headboard which could have been deceased insects or even nasal debris and unmistakably a greasy head print. There were certainly 'boutique' elements such as the storks painted on the ceiling and unusual wire bedside lights, which I think were once insects but have now lost their wings, but then the whole thing was let down by little things like the key card only working on the 10th attempt. We slept well though- the bed was comfy and the room quiet, although the window didn't close properly which allowed more noise in than it would have if it closed. Staff were efficient and spoke okay English. The rooftop bar/ restaurant looked nothing like the photos shown on here. There was no one in when I called, just 2 teen staff watching cartoons on TV. It's a good view from the balcony but you can only access this when the bar is open and it closes early afternoon. With a little investment to tidy up small defects this could be a really nice hotel. However, I guess the conundrum for the owners is that to invest more may mean pushing the room cost up and I'm not sure mid range travellers would appreciate the 'gritty' city surroundings. As it is, it's a perfectly good budget option in a very convenient location.

Overall a good stay for staycation. Location and room is great. Stay at executive queen room. Cleanliness can be improved, hopefully can provide room slipper 😊 Thanks Mesui.

Quando ho portato questo all'attenzione della ricezione, mi è stato detto che era ”sottoscritto alla disponibilità” e che la camera della Regina era in realtà un ”aggiornamento” in una camera deluxe. La posizione dell'hotel è conveniente, con il centro commerciale Sugai Wang lungo la strada, ma la camera stessa era piccola e il letto di dimensioni Regina era una sfida per mio marito, che è 1.8m alto. I suoi piedi si sono sdraiati dal letto, che era divertente, ma non ideale. In generale, mentre l'hotel ha i suoi positivi, la distribuzione della stanza e la risposta della ricezione lasciano un gusto amargo. Molto consigliata residenza. Camera molto pulita. Completa con strutture. Completa lavatrice. 2 condizionatore d'aria. Microvave. Letto ha 1 regina e 1 singolo. Inoltre ha un letto extra. Il prezzo è ragionevole, forse per il giorno della settimana. La piscina ha anche una bella vista e una piscina per bambini. Ripeterete di nuovo qui. Scusa, non foto.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Robertson Kuala Lumpur. The accommodation was comfortable, and the facilities were excellent. The location was convenient, with easy access to various attractions and dining options. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur.

La camera è pulita, con una vista magnifica! Quando siamo arrivati c'era un sacco di persone nel lobby, ma abbiamo aspettato meno di 10 minuti per controllare perché c'era un sistema di numero efficiente. Ho letto molte recensioni sulla situazione dell'ascensore, ma siamo andati giu' un paio di volte per andare a mangiare, o prendere qualcosa da prendere, e il processo di ascensore era piuttosto liscio. In tutto, un grande soggiorno.

La posizione era ottima. Il servizio clienti è stato eccellente. La camera era bella, ma c'è la zanzara. Attualmente non è disponibile alcun ristorante in hotel. ma nelle vicinanze ci sono molti ristoranti, fast food e minimarket. vicino alla stazione degli autobus e alla stazione LRT. nel complesso l'hotel era buono.

One of my best hotel experiences yet. The staff were exceptional and incredibly helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The pool and bar were relaxing. The lunch on the first floor was also very good. The hotel is in a very convenient location. All of the main city sights is about a 20 minute walk away. Petronas Towers, Central Market, Chinatown, Little India, KL Tower, Pavilion Mall and the food street were all a 20 minute walk from the hotel. I’d recommend for anyone staying in Kuala Lumpur.

Love the stay at Element. It’s quiet place, away from the busy streets yet not too far from KLCc and KL tower. The room is clean and pleasant. View from room is very nice. Only thing is the car park is beside the hotel so it’s a little more troublesome to pick the car and the car park is operated by third party so we need to validate the card whenever we drive out. Overall experience is good w the hotel.

Ottimo albergo. Hotel e centro commerciale con una fermata. Facile accesso alla MRT, al centro commerciale e al cibo. Parcheggio enorme dal 4° al 9° piano. Soddisfa la richiesta e per prenotazione. Servizi eccellenti per tutto l'equipaggio e la direzione del tram. Poco tempo in questo hotel. Pieno di sorprese e inaspettati da parte della direzione. Ci vediamo la prossima settimana
