Small and tidy dog-friendly cottage on the canal:For those of you who are looking for a place where all the furniture is new and everything matches, this is not it. Instead, we have a boat dock, 3 kayaks, and an outdoor shower and grill. A public boat launch is just around the corner (Please contact me if you wish to launch a boat. I will have to get a permit for you.). We also have a deck for outdoor dining, gathering with friends, reading a book, watching the birds fly by, or fishing and/or just watching the fish. Our house has a renovated kitchen and bath upstairs, along with 2 bedrooms: one queen and one double. There is another bath downstairs (connected to the upstairs with an outdoor staircase), with the laundry and an extra bed (twin). The downstairs room was a golf cart garage but is now a multi-functional room. Both the laundry and twin bed are elevated due to water fluctuations in the canal, so a step stool is available! But guess what?! You are right on the water, and that is lovely! AND, more to the point, a short drive of 1 mile gets you to the the beach (Gulf of Mexico) and all the sand, shells (maybe) and saltwater you would like!Read more here if you are interested in knowing more about the area and things to do. Created by our homeowners, these paintings document the adventures of Ufé, a precocious canary, as he takes escapades around the island. The upstairs suites both have comfortable queen beds, that get great light, but are equipped with blackout curtains if you want to sleep in. There is a full bath off the main suite and another in the main hallway. Downstairs, with its own private entrance, is the Captain’s Quarters. With a queen size bed, that has been decorated for the look and feel of the cabin of a ship. Also downstairs is our fourth bedroom with a double and two twins. There are a few toys for the little ones. If you have young artists we encourage them to leave a picture on our children’s art wall! We have a pack and play upon request.
