"Le camere sono un po' piccole, ma nella norma per gli hotel giapponesi. La posizione è ottima, a pochi minuti a piedi dalla stazione di Beppu e con molti ristoranti nelle vicinanze. Adoro il fatto che questo hotel abbia una piscina sul tetto con una vista mozzafiato su Beppu (anche se la piscina è molto bassa). Ci siamo fatti un bel bagno nell'onsen dell'hotel, ma il mio compagno ha detto che era un po' sporco nella sezione maschile. Purtroppo non abbiamo potuto usufruire dell'alcol a volontà per 1000 yen a causa del poco tempo a disposizione, ma sarebbe perfetto per gli amanti dell'alcol! Lo consiglio vivamente e ci tornerò! Personale gentile, pulito e accogliente!"

"Location is near Beppu station. Car parking was next to it, controlled by lift. Meaning park and the car was lifted in a building. Charged per daily and could retrieve car anytime. 7 private Onsen rooms, need to queue to use during evening. One or 2 was empty during afternoon. Complimentary ramen in soya sauce broth from 10-11pm, if missed it, take the house brand instant noodle cup from reception. Remember to take the complimentary Yakult from 6-10am. Coffee and matcha machine in lobby. Remove shoes at lobby and roll luggages over a wet mat. Bare foot or socks provided throughout hotel, even at restaurant. Didn’t try the breakfast and dinner. Typical Japanese hard mattress and pillows. Good for families or friends up to 4 per room."

We recently stayed at this hotel, and the experience was mixed — there are some nice touches, but also noticeable shortcomings. **Room:** The room was spacious but clearly outdated; furniture and interior look worn. The ventilation works, yet it still feels quite stuffy inside. It would be great if the hotel improved air-conditioning or installed mosquito screens: the sea view is beautiful, but opening the window isn’t an option because of too many insects. **Facilities & Service:** The only real extras are massage service and a shared onsen. There’s no gym, pool, or other activities — the hotel is designed for quiet relaxation. A shuttle service is available, which is convenient, but if you miss it, getting to the hotel on your own can be quite difficult. During this stay the hotel was quite busy, and it often took a long time to catch the elevator to our floor. **Dining:** Breakfast and dinner can be pre-booked; the food was tasty and varied. The bar offers a pleasant atmosphere with a decent drink selection, and in the evening the lobby lounge opens with alcoholic drinks and light snacks — a nice way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. **Location:** The property faces Beppu Bay, yet the seaside feeling is limited — there are few walking areas nearby, and due to insects it’s hard to enjoy the open air. **Overall:** A good option for a calm, onsen-style getaway with decent food and polite staff, but when the hotel is crowded, the lack of facilities and outdated rooms become more noticeable. With some modernization and better infrastructure, this could be an excellent resort."

"Sono venuto qui con mia sorella per due notti. Il nuovo ambiente è molto buono, pulito e pulito. Siamo stati organizzati per il secondo piano di giardino.La stanza è molto spaziosa. Within four minutes, there’s a local public onsen nearby, and the front desk can provide single-use body wash and shampoo upon request, which is really thoughtful. The hotel itself is clean and well-maintained, and the front desk staff are extremely helpful, always ready to assist with any needs or questions. A comfortable and convenient place to stay if you’re exploring Beppu!"

"My stay at Kannawaen Beppu was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. From the convenient shuttle van to the bus station to the thoughtful small amenities provided, every detail was handled with care. I especially loved the traditional ryokan experience—wearing a yukata to both dinner and breakfast made it feel truly authentic. The onsen was relaxing and beautifully maintained, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. The location is great too—just a short walk from Jigoku (the famous ”hells” of Beppu). Dinner was a highlight: the teppanyaki course was not only delicious but well worth the money. The traditional Japanese breakfast the next morning was equally impressive—fresh, flavorful, and unlike anything you’d find at a typical hotel. Kannawaen is perfect for a short escape, whether you’re seeking relaxation, cultural experience, or both. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Beppu!"

"La stanza è molto grande e molto comoda per 2 persone con bagagli grandi, la stanza è molto pulita ma dobbiamo fare il letto da soli. Il personale è molto bello e può suggerire le buone raccomandazioni per i vicini e buoni ristoranti intorno. Lo spazio comune e la cucina sono anche buoni, forniscono molti tipi di bevande con ghiaccio per noi. Questo hotel si trova molto vicino alla spiaggia, alla torre Beppu e «Don Quijote». Se hai intenzione di andare a Beppu, è una scelta molto buona!Raccomandato!!"

"La stanza è spaziosa e pulita. Mi piace il cibo lì. Le strutture sono disponibili sul primo piano. Sono anche fornite una borsa per gli ospiti per portare le loro cose al cibo, non molti hotel hanno questo. La posizione è grande, camminabile al centro commerciale e Lawson è proprio l'opposto. Il parcheggio è anche gratuito. Questo è un enorme plus se si sta facendo un viaggio stradale."

"Walking distance within 5 mins to JR or bus station . Very convenient with lot of restaurant nearby . Plan ur trip without hassle for logistic . U wan JR , just 5 min , u wan main bus terminal , just 5 min . Am definitely will stay again if i revisit beppu again . Last a full skincare regime for free at lobby . Least ur hassle to bring all . Remember if u stay here no need to bring ur skin care ya ."
