I got an email from the hotel 1 hour before our check in that they would cancel our booking if we didn't confirm within 50 minutes, which made us panic and had to cancel our plans to go there quickly. When we arrived we were given a room where the balcony door was broken so that it couldn't be close properly and we could hear every tiny noise on the street. After some negotiating we managed to change rooms and they gave us a new room that smelled like bin bag, and it was impossible to stay in there so we asked for a refund, whereas the hotel refused. The corridor and the stairs also smelled so strongly of cigarattes that it was hard to breathe. Horrible!
