The owner of this hotel is very scary.
This hotel does not contract directly with Trip but through a third party. When the owner found out the room rate I booked was lower than usual, he got angry, refused to let me check in, and asked me to report the price issue to Trip. I tried to explain that it was the problem between the hotel and their partner, not my problem, but he wouldn’t listen. I had no choice other than to cancel my booking with a reason “Issue with the hotel”. Then I got a message from Trip said that my request would be respond within 2 hours. After waiting 2 hours, I still had not received a property response from this app, so I called the hotel directly. The owner told me that the reason my room rate was cheaper than usual was because he had not updated the rates with this partner. Although it was his fault, he didn’t even offer an apology.
Finally, I received a response from Trip which said that my booking will be kept. So I had to stay at this hotel because my request for a full refund was not accepted.
Anyway, the staff was nice, but the owner was terrible.
