Hotel in zona Chua Lai Cach, Hanoi

When booking it looked super close to the airport and easy to get to. It proved a little difficult for the taxi driver to find, but English was not his strong point. The room was very basic and tidy, however the bathroom was very out dated and could do with some work. However for what it was and the purpose it needed to serve for a 4am start to the airport it was ok. The host was very good in arranging a driver for the early morning, however expect to pay 150,000 dong for the 4.3klm trip to the airport. General warning, anything from the airport is a bit dodgy and even our first cab driver tried to rip us off with the meter reading 89,000 dong yet he wanted 300,000. We only paid 200,000 from the airport to Westlake area, so 300,000 for a short trip seemed excessive.

We found this hotel after a bad experience at a nearby hotel. The owner was amazing and really accommodating as I had broken my ankle and she could not do enough for us. She even found a stool for me to sit on so I could shower without getting my cast wet. The first impressions were lovely, very clean reception area, the lift was great and the rooms very nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The rooms have everything that’s needed and very quiet for us to sleep. The en-suite shower room is lovely with a double walk in shower The owner will arrange taxis etc to the airport and even took us to a restaurant for dinner and refused to accept any money. I would not hesitate to return here and by far the best in the area.

Mi piaceva assolutamente il mio SleepPod! Era più grande di altre capsule che ho passato, e ci sono stati un sacco di servizi, tra cui un router, una televisione e un desk snack. Inoltre, sulla base della posizione del ponte, era molto tranquillo. Volevo tornare senza esitare. Viaggiavo nel dicembre 2016.

設施：頂樓有餐廳，午餐晚餐都有提供，味好量足。樓下有小賣鋪，都是來自國內的，不會看不懂，還可以微信付款，非常便利。贊！！！ 衞生：出乎意料，雖然不是什麼豪華酒店，但入住期間沒有發現小強出沒，點個大大的贊！！！ 環境：位置距離大馬路有一定距離，所以並不喧鬧，但周邊環境還是很乾凈整潔的，路面也是水泥的，不用擔心雨天很臟。 服務：老闆是中國人，非常熱情周到。

If you arrive later in the day & need to leave early for a flight the next morning, it's a perfect Airport Hotel! The room & the bathroom are clean & spacious. Having a restaurant within the hotel is also convenient, although quality of food is pretty mediocre ... It would be nice if they could do something about that. I would have loved to leave Vietnam with memory of a nice pho dinner :-)

Vicino all'aeroporto. Non ci sono negozi disponibili per cibo a meno che non si desidera correre un rischio sul cibo stradale molto limitato. Sarebbe più facile ottenere cibo prima di rimanere qui o forse prendere cibo dall'aeroporto. In generale, non era troppo arrabbiato per un breve sonno prima del nostro volo la mattina prossima.

Le valutazioni sono sempre basate su standard personali e criteri di valutazione. Per questo, vengo dall'angolo di un hotel aereo economico. Questo è il miglior hotel aereo intorno all'aeroporto di Hanoi Noi Bai, e a un prezzo decente. Non aspettate colazione a buffet intercontinentale, saloni d'affari e simili. La stanza è abbastanza nuova, pulita, funzionale e grande. Nonostante essere vicino all'aeroporto, non si può sentire nulla dall'aereo di atterraggio. Il colazione è semplice al meglio, e il personale sembra ancora in ”formazione”, con solo Brian come ”capo”. La piscina al tetto non sembra ben mantenuta, e la sala di intrattenimento è stata completamente abbandonata, con la tavola da football e da biliardo lasciato per raccogliere polvere mentre è diventato un deposito e parcheggio. Ma ehi, è un hotel aeroportuale. L'obiettivo è avere le persone a dormire per una notte prima di lasciare immediatamente. Si trova in una zona rurale molto bella, quindi non si aspettano alcuna catering o negozi di comodità stabiliti vicino. Pensate ai piatti di strada e negozi di forniture a casa. In conclusione, il miglior hotel aeroportuale vicino all'aeroporto di Hanoi Noi Bai.

Reserved here through a hotel ”finding service” at the airport. Rule #1 DON'T DO THIS. Reserve places yourself. They obviously get a kick back. I was charged $50. I checked reviews and found out the hotel was only $20, so I asked to cancel. ”CANNOT CANCEL”. I was assured I'd get the best room at the best rate. They would not change my reservation to a different hotel. Hotel is near the airport. That is surely the only positive about this place. There are about 20 stairs to access the lobby from the street and no hand rail. My room was big and on the 5th floor, #504, with views of the busy highway and truck traffic, and the noise that comes with that. There was no ”decor”, just a bed (with dirty, wrinkled, grey linens), a florescent tube on the wall, a very small television, a battered tiny refrigerator on the floor in one corner, and two folding chairs with a vase of plastic flowers. The room smelled awful. The most identifiable component of the odor was urine. The bathroom was filthy. The grout was black. There was rust on the fixtures in the sink. The ”shower” was a hand held arrangement and there was no curtain. The smell of urine was overwhelming. The toilet paper roll had clearly been dropped into something wet. It was puffed up and wrinkled around one end of the roll. There was nothing else available -- and a phone number nine digitis long didn't work when I called to try to get another roll of TP. The peep hole in the door had a wad of paper stuck in it. I think the apparatus had been installed backward, allowing people outside in the hall to look into the room instead of the other way around. This was the chosen solution to the problem. At 1:30 a.m. there was a very noisy altercation in the hallway outside my room. Bumps and thumps, raised voices, shouting. Maybe even a murder? Sounded like it. The ”all tile” hallways echoed the riotous exchange throughout the entire floor. No sleep after that... I skipped breakfast which was included because everything was so dirty. If I could give this place a zero I would. Without a doubt, the worst hotel I've ever stayed in after several decades of travel. Stay here at your peril!!

If you are expecting a five star resort for the cost of a hostel you will be disappointed. If you are expecting friendly staff, that you may have try to communicate with because you are in their country, and you don't judge the area as unsafe because there are not many street lights, I think you will appreciate a stay here. I had a great experience with the staff. We arrived late at night, had little to no trouble getting into a room and we were more than satisfied with the room we were put in. The mattresses were stiff, but I did not find them any more so than other places in Vietnam. English communication was not as easily done, however, the staff was obviously trying to be very helpful in communicating with us. We utilized Google Translate and had no issue getting information for the stay. Also, I am in Vietnam, so I would expect that it is partially on me to try to communicate in Vietnamese. The hotel is in a back alley entrance with not many lights around. I would not call it dangerous. I walked around later at night and was able to find a family restaurant nearby as directed by the staff, as well as there were locals in a nearby square doing what looked like a communal dance class. The next morning the same square was filled with an organized volleyball match. It hardly seemed like a spot that was sketchy, more just dark. The area is not busy late at night as it is not surrounded by residential housing and it is about 2 km from the airport. The breakfast was a bit of fusion cuisine between local foods and western food. You could eat your fill of either, and the location is the top floor of the hotel giving it a nice view of the surrounding area. Again, a quick glance from that vantage point puts the alley entrance as a scary area into a different perspective. Lastly and most importantly, we had a special request with some luggage difficulty we had in our travels. It was a ridiculous thing for us to request from the staff and they went above and beyond to help us out. I would have no issue staying here again. Also, if there was a problem with the stay, I think I would have no problem sorting it out appropriately with the staff that I met there.
