Hotel a Grand Baie, Mauritius

We stayed at OceanV, Grand Baie for 7 nights and we absolutely LOVED our stay. We took the “all inclusive” package and I can really recommend this option as this really makes the entire holiday more enjoyable, no need to stress about paying for any drinks, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner. Inclusive package review: You get a set menu for lunch and dinner which is always decent. My wife is a fussy eater but always managed to find something to eat. For dinner you can also choose options off the main menu which helps when the kitchen is a bit adventurous with the set menu. The drinks that are included are three types of beer, three types of wine, 8/9 cocktails and three mocktails as well as a wide range of cooldrink and hot beverages. This was really sufficient and if you do want to try anything else, you can always just order from the bar. Room and service review: The staff is extremely friendly and always helpful. The room was perfect, amazing view of the sea and an aircon that we had on the entire time and worked perfectly. The staff cleaned the room and bathroom everyday, no complaints, just compliments. Trips/Excursions: We did not use the hotel’s recommended service providers as they were a bit expensive. We went on a catamaran trip, initially using the hotel connection but after they cancelled we were able to find Coral Belle, a very professional catamaran trip company who have three catamaran’s that go to the islands every day, they have a little shop in sunset boulevard - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! We took the bus everywhere, Grand Baie for shopping and Port Louis for the day trip - really worth it regarding the price 24 rs from Pereybere to Grand Baie and 44 rs from Pereybere to Port Louis. Recommended to wait for the express bus to Port Louis if you can, the normal bus takes a quite while longer. Finally, the beach is walking distance, 300m, and we were able to walk around to the beach right in front of the hotel for privacy and less crowded. All Round: We would come back and recommend!!!

Posto con poche camere, molto tranquillo anche se su un punto un po’ ventoso durante il periodo in cui siamo stati. La nostra camera era al primo piano ed aveva un terrazzino con una bellissima vista! Ottimo anche il massaggio alla Spa! Il cibo è stato ottimo, l’unico piccolo appunto che ci sentiamo di fare riguarda una delle due cene a buffet che, dal nostro punto di vista, aveva minor qualità rispetto alle cene alla carta. Abbiamo molto apprezzato il tea time a bordo piscina accompagnato da ottime torte!

We have visited Grand Baie twice before and decided on an apartment this time. We weren't disappointed, lovely apartment on 3rd floor. Roomy Kitchen, nice balcony, great bedroom with good air conditioning and fantastic bathroom. Staff always there and eager to please, lovely cleaners with fresh sheets and fresh towels. Good size pool and often the chance to swim in your own. Very near to superu supermarket with everything you need, takeaways within that complex, only 5 min walk. Restaurants just beyond Superu going into central Grand Baie with good public beaches. Recommend Talipot Restaurant for reasonable prices, Blue Lagoon only short walk with a great Chinese restaurant next door. Spent a month, had a scooter so we could travel to beaches, Trox au Biches our favourite. Would live to come back again with family. Everyone so pleasant and friendly. Dodola Lodge è molto ben situato, proprio al di là della spiaggia di Pereybere - uno dei più belli dell'isola! La camera con una piccola pattina è molto spaziosa, pulita e tranquilla. Ho avuto una camera con una piccola cucina! Tutto a un prezzo molto conveniente! Il personale era molto amichevole e sempre pronto a assistere! Grazie a Kim, Neville e Marie per rendere il mio soggiorno così piacevole.

Consiglio vivamente la struttura se si è alla ricerca di un posto tranquillo. Personale gentilissimo e disponibile e solare. Appena arrivate ci hanno offerto un Tè nel loro meraviglioso giardino tropicale che ci ha fatto subito sentire in vacanza e rilassate. Posizione ottima perchè non sulla strada principale ed al riparo dal traffico ma con la possibilità di raggiungere a piedi la spiaggia di Pereybere, ristoranti e supermercato. Struttura pulita. Diversi accessi al Wi-Fi per poter permettere in ogni collocazione un miglior accesso, presenza di un frigo bar in giardino con bibite, acqua ed altro con la massima fiducia verso il cliente che in autonomia può servirsi e segnarlo sulla propria stanza. Ringrazio tutto lo staff per aver contribuito a farci trascorrere una meravigliosa vacanza
