Hotel a Glastonbury, Regno Unito

Il grande edificio storico il tor era grande ma il cibo ai pellegrini era scioccante! Ci siamo trasferiti 2 notti e hanno scappato da cibo entrambe le notti. Il ristorante locale di curry era sorprendente, ma non si può mangiare curry per colazione e cena. La stanza che abbiamo soggiornato è stata chiamata la stanza delle nun, e per qualche motivo, mentre la notte si è progredita, è diventata sempre più calda! L'edificio è vecchio, quindi non ci sono stati ventilatori, amici staff e persone molto benvenute intorno a Glastonbury. I locali sono sorprendenti sicuramente consigliere di visitare, ma purtroppo non torno.

Stayed with my two children on a Saturday night. We used the check in details and our initial reaction to the accommodation was that it was wonderful. Very spacious, clean etc. The bathroom was a little disappointing with paint and a shower panel coming away from the wall. The kitchenette was well stocked with all you would need to cook meals for a longer stay (obviously minus the food). The trundle bed was a nice touch in the main 'loving' space. I've never stayed in Glastonbury before and it was somewhat of a last minute booking the Thursday before when I found a discount through booking.com. So I'll admit I didn't do thorough research of the area that the b&b is located in. (So taking some responsibility here). When we arrived I realised that it was literally right next to the Assembly Rooms (I had no idea what this building was used for), it was heaving outside the b&b entrance. I didn't think much of it as it looked like families - we went inside and I realised that the main bedroom window was situated right on the side of the alley next to the assembly rooms, again, I thought it would just be open during the day and that the massive amount of noise coming in to the room wouldn't be an issue. Until I saw a sign about an event that was taking place later that evening, so I did a quick Google and soon learned that a band or two were due to be playing that evening in the assembly rooms. From 8pm swaths of people were arriving. Loud, somewhat lairy and drunk. The window in the main bedroom has no purpose other than to block rain and wind. Every single thing taking place outside can be heard as though you are in the alley. The noise of drunken arguing, shouting, dogs barking etc went on til 1am at least. I may be wrong here, but I feel as though the owners should be making people aware either through their website (or third party websites) and when potential guests call to book a room that the b&b is situated next to a music venue. I also feel that some soundproofing and better quality windows wouldn't go a miss. My children and I barely slept. We then had to drag ourselves over to a pub to have breakfast (my fault for not checking that this would be the case, I just saw that breakfast was included and thought 'great'). I absolutely won't be returning, which is a shame as the accommodation itself is lovely, I just feel that there should be more transparency and communication regarding the neighboring buildings and what they are used for, particularly for family bookings.

Il Camelot Retreat è un meraviglioso spazio di benvenuto, è estremamente pulito, ha un'atmosfera molto spirituale, ma domestica. La stanza che avevo era calda e invitante, con tutto quello che qualcuno avrebbe potuto bisogno. La colazione è stata molto conveniente e le strutture disponibili (con una cucina e un bar cereali dove si può fare colazione per soddisfare le vostre esigenze e i vostri gusti). Questo è un grande luogo per incontrare e collegare con anime come voi, se volete. L'ubicazione è ideale per viaggiare al Tor, Chalice Well, e per camminare in città per prendere nelle vicinanze e nei negozi.

Nessun ascensore per andare al primo piano, difficile per la famiglia con bambini e bagagli Camere leggermente vecchie , non male ma camt conta come 4 stelle

Ho prenotato questo per un viaggio d'affari per me e la mamma. All'arrivo siamo stati salutati da Sarah, che era molto amichevole e ci mostra alla nostra stanza. Bella stanza sul primo piano con letti singoli.Abbiamo prenotato cena all'hotel per le 6:00. Sarah era molto accogliente, come vegetariano, e aveva preparato un bel pasto, tutto il casato con era delizioso. Di nuovo i dolci erano sorprendenti con una scelta di torta di limone o pavola. Non potevo colpire il pranzo. Il nostro soggiorno è stato per due notti, il colazione è stato perfetto, bellissimo e caldo e non troppo che ci piaceva. In tutto, non c'è niente da fare e non esitare a tornare. Grazie Sarah 😊
