Sono stato in questo ostello per dieci giorni, molto pulito camere spaziose, personale cortese e disponibile, sono stato veramente contento di aver soggiornato qui, sono sicuro che se ritornerò a Glasgow passerò ancora qui ad alloggiare...lo consiglio vivamente anche per la comodità della stazione che in 6 minuti ti porta in centro...

Had an amazing time in there, everyone kinda knows each other and the overall atmosphere is great. There are people from all around the world and you can have a good time even in the hostel. The area is very beautiful and the station right across the road. The hostel is surrounded by greenery so there's great view from all the windows. All equipment is new and facilities renovated. Cleanliness isn't perfect but expected in terms of price. No damp. Overall experience was amazing!

The hostel is situated in a quiet West end area only 15 min away from the city center, which is good as Glasgow can be dangerous place. The reception girl is very friendly and helpful. It is important to have a good service. The rooms are good for the price that you pay and are kept clean and tidy. Overall, I think Alba Hostel is a good place to stay, while you are traveling around Scotland

Okay so the owner was very pleasant and genuinely sorry for our experience but the proof will be if he makes changes. We were after somewhere cheap,and cheerful to stay overnight during a visit to see a son at University so wanted nothing more than a clean bed. To be fair, you don't expect much for £60 but this place was pretty dismal. We should have realised so,etching was amiss when, despite booking ahead, we were kept waiting ten minutes at the counter whilst staff had a chat. We were shown to our room which was in the basement and then left, only returning later that night. There was no heating on below stairs (radiators not working) and although it turned out to be not too cold, a call on the number given just illiterate a female suggesting we speak with the manager in the morning. The beds hadn't been changed since the last visit, food crumbs and much worse in the beds, rubbish in the bin and food on the floor. Most of the lights didn't work and the only window couldn't be opened as it presented a security risk being at ground level. There were several light bulbs missing, including in hallways presenting a risk in the event of a fire. I appreciate the owner can't be responsible for how people leave the fairly well-stocked kitchen but I wasn't prepared for the bomb site we found. Several half-eaten spare ribs lying around, food still in the an open oven which was switched on, and litter across the room. The back door which was wide open couldn't be locked. Overall some dodgy issues which are possibly illegal. Had we realised earlier, we'd have walked out In the morning however, the shower was very efficient and hot and the repentant manager did refund us some of our money blaming an oversight by the cleaners and offering a discount. Next time as h didn't want a poor review. I ouldnt presume to suggest not to stay here but we shan't be back.

This is the first time I Visit Scotland. I look for a friendly hostel and here i am. Alba hostel location is not about few minutes from Anniesland’s station which is easy to get from the main train station.I have a warm welcome from Mr.Mauro the kindest reception that I ever meet. It feels like coming back home. The kitchen is very nice and useful I stay here for 3 nights and had a great time. ถ้าเป็นผู้หญิงมาเที่ยวโซโล่เดี่ยว แนะนำโฮสเทลนี้ มีห้องแยกชายหญิง มีห้องน้ำในตัว ห้องครัวใหญ่ คุ้มมากกับราคา ส่วนสถานที่ไม่ไกลจากสถานีรถไฟมาก เดิน2นาทีถึง ผู้คนเป็นกันเองน่ารัก.

The staff were amazing and have helped me in ways they wouldn't even begin to think of. Marrio one of the staff that sits at reception made me feel like I was actually part of a family and made me feel very at home. I arrived at the hotel under circumstances that weren't great after an abusive relationship and was very on edge and felt very vulnerable and afraid of people and I was always wandering what someone's motive was when they were being nice to me. But after nearly a week here there was no motives just help and advice and a very positive clean and safe environment to find myself again. There is facilities to heat food and breakfast is provided. The rooms are cleaned twice a week but if I asked I'd be given anything I needed to do it myself. The rooms are newly refurbished and the owners and especially Mario deserve recognition for providing such great accomodations and place to relax with shops and transport so close by this is a great location to stay.

Sehr angenehmes Hostel! Mario war super hilfreich! Alles wurde uns beim Check in sehr ausführlich erklärt. Das Badezimmer ist sehr modern & sauber und mit Fenster :) Die Betten sind sehr bequem & Hostel hat einen guten Charme. Immer wieder gerne :)
