Hotel Ascott a George Town

La posizione è buona, con cibo intorno all'hotel, ha un vason n mini mart accanto. Prenotato la camera 2, le foto sembrano troppo buone, la camera non come nuova, il bagno diventa bagnato ogni volta che si fa la doccia. E il bacino è molle. È un hotel tranquillo, non vedo nessun ospite intorno. Tuttavia, per il prezzo per 2 camere da letto e posizione, immagino che sia ok con esso.

Big thanks to the front desk staff… absolutely amazing. Location is great, close to 1st Avenue mall and all local attractions. The room is new however some sign of water leak underneath the laminate floors other than that everything is new. Washing machine and dryer was pretty handy

Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Water from tap was potable and first round of the mini bar was complimentary. Visited the pool and it was 1.2m deep. Good enough for a swim. However the water can be quite cold for some. Towels are available for use at the pool. Did not opt for the breakfast as there are too many options in the vicinity but saw that most guests enjoyed it. The welcome drink at the bar was lovely and exotic. Check out was also a breeze and our luggages were kept safe till ready to be collected. Special mention goes to Mr. Elan who made sure we were checked out nicely and received our feedback readily. All smiles and I'm sure all staff also rub off from his jovial character.

I had a great experience at this hotel. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. There's a 24-hour mart just downstairs, which makes it super easy to grab snacks or drinks anytime. The location is excellent – lots of popular restaurants and night markets are within walking distance. Perfect for food lovers! A few things to keep in mind: The TV isn’t a smart TV, so only local channels are available No conditioner provided, and the shampoo can be a bit drying – if you have long hair, it’s better to bring your own Overall, a very convenient and pleasant place to stay. Would recommend for anyone visiting the area!

My last stay at Ascott Gurney Penang was in Oct 2024. I travelled with a girlfriend and it was my first time staying. The experience was fantastic (the room view, the service provided, the cleanliness of the room, the pool and gym facilities etc) thus, this time I brought back my family and my in-laws to stay again (3 rooms). Was slightly disappointed this time. 1. The rooms assigned this time were not great, all low floors and the views were restricted (my last stay the room view was superb!) 2. There were lots of birds in the swimming pool area and I think the hotel should do something about it. There were droppings on the floor around the pool and after swimming for a short while, I felt uncomfortable as I could see something floating in the pool as well so I left…. 3. On the 2nd day morning, servicing staff promptly made up my room but not on the 3nd day morning. I was out between 10am to 1pm and was surprised to see that the room was not cleaned. I had to personally go down to the front desk to make the request to clean up… But overall, the service was still good, staff were courteous and helpful in general. I recommended Ascott Gurney to my husband this time, but he was quite disappointed with Ascott Gurney Penang, especially with reasons listed above and still prefer The George Penang where we stayed in end 2023 instead.

Una stanza pulita, accogliente e moderna in cima a una fila di case-negozi storiche, dotata di cucina attrezzata, tavolo da pranzo e divano-letto. La lavatrice è un plus! La posizione è ottima, si possono raggiungere a piedi molti ristoranti consigliati dalla guida Michelin. Può essere piuttosto rumoroso di notte quando passano le auto.

The hotel is so cute. The door is at level 1, but the rooms is at level 2. So when you enter the door, you need to go upstairs and you will see the living room. The bed rooms is on the 2 sides, separated by the living room. The window on the main bed room is so unique and feels like classic. I never seen this before. This hotel location is also the best, at least for my trip. It's near to the kimberley street. A lot of cafe and tourist spot close to this hotel (walking distance).

Prima, la notte non riusciva a dormire, musica fuori, cantare, poi il suono della moto al mattino, senza parole. In secondo luogo, la sala non ha luce solare, non ha ventilazione, e il bagno si siede accanto all'acqua è molto grave. Terzo, l'atteggiamento di servizio e la sua cattiva posizione, doveva pagare 224 e mezzo di cavallo al negozio, non aveva abbastanza contanti, meno 10 e mezzo di cavallo. 最高の宿でした。 簡易キッチンがあり、電子レンジやケトル、洗濯乾燥機や家族用の冷蔵庫もありました。加えて欲しいものがないほど揃っていました。 一歳児が走り回れるほど広かったので雨で出られなくても退屈になりませんでした。コンビニも飲食店も近くにあるので【食事なし】でも問題ありません。 毎日清掃もしてくれるので気持ち良く過ごせました。 チェックインの際の手続き（到着の15分前にWAする）だけ忘れなければ快適です。 ジョージタウンに来る時はまたこの宿にお世話になりたいです。おすすめの宿です。

La posizione è fantastica. Vicino al centro GAMA. Fornisce Netflix, torcia, mutandine, ecc ... Configurazione della camera: (1) King Bed (2) 1 Queen 1 Sgl (3) 2 Queens. Spazio con soggiorno e una grande cucina dotata di caldaia, microonde, asciugacapelli e frigorifero. Ma la sua pulizia era in dubbio. Ci siamo rimasti nel letto con un bagno in seguito. La stanza ha profumato, quindi abbiamo dovuto lasciare la porta aperta tutta la notte. Inoltre, il nostro letto ha profumato molto male. Lo schermo della doccia si è spostato fuori dal suo allineamento e sembra pericoloso. Quando arrivarono, ci diedero una carta e una password WiFi specificata e il giorno dopo il check out data. 1. Password Wifi era sbagliata 2. Controllare la data era anche sbagliata Che cosa li ha saputi, hanno fornito una nuova password e hanno confermato che la mia data di check-out è due giorni dopo. Il giorno dopo, non potevamo entrare nell'appartamento come numero di pin per la serratura non era più valido. Quindi tutto il gruppo di anziani e bambini dovevano aspettare che qualcuno venisse a rimettere la pin. Chiese cosa sbagliava, semplicemente dissero errore di sistema. Non ci sono scuse. Non potevo cambiare l'hotel anche a metà strada, perché ho pagato per 2 notti e trasferire 4 anziani + 3 bambini in un altro hotel nell'ultimo minuto durante le vacanze scolastiche di giugno non è una battuta. Mentre le minori inconvenienti sono state risolte alla fine, non credo che rimarrò qui, poiché la pulizia e la sicurezza sono importanti per me.
