Hotel in zona Jardins publics Quartier Tghat, Fez

Il Riad è in stile e decorazione marocchino tradizionale. La nostra camera (Deluxe Suite) è stata molto spaziosa. Ci siamo trasferiti per 3 notti e la nostra camera è stata pulita ogni giorno, le lavanderia e anche i bagni sono stati cambiati ogni giorno. Questa Riad è convenientemente situata vicino a una strada principale con molti ristoranti e caffè. Questo è tutto per il lato positivo. Sul lato negativo: La qualità del colazione è terribile. Il tempo di aspettare per avere qualsiasi cibo sul tavolo è di almeno 30 minuti. I server al colazione sono le stesse ragazze che puliscono le camere (come il lavoro economico). Ci sono tre cani che camminano liberamente e barking tutta la notte. Una delle notti non potevamo dormire per questi cani. Riad offre un menu da pranzo, ma il prezzo è insensato. Passeggiate 100 metri a una strada principale e pagate una frazione di questo prezzo. Un altro dettaglio - ricordate che questo Riad non è altro che carte di credito.

Absolutely fabulous hotel worthy of 5 stars. Giant bathroom with rain shower and hand held, and separate w/c. Rooms were spacious and modern and with turn down service. Hotel is chic and modern and the French restaurant had excellent food. The bar and outdoor terrace had stunning views. Pricey drinks and ridiculously expensive laundry service are my only complaints. A little off the main part of town, it the views are worth it.

I had an outstanding experience at Riad Sabah. Miriam greeted me right away at the door and I was served tea in a beautifully tiled area adjacent to the courtyard pool while she got me checked in. After the stress of traveling, this was so much appreciated! I was shown my room (a solitaire), which was beautifully decorated and air conditioned. I asked if I could book an appointment in the hammam, which she set up for 4:00. I did a 30 minute scrub and a 30 minute massage for $35. The person at the hammam was highly attentive. Miriam also arranged for a walking tour of Fez ($35) for 10:00 the next morning. My tour guide took me all over city, including to see the Jewish quarter where I got to see inside the ancient synagogue (25 dirhams for the ticket), and even was showed an ancient torah. I also got a tour of a ceramic/tile artisan workshop. In the old medina I got to visit the tannery and see the inside of a shop in a dar with enormous beautiful rugs. Miriam arranged for my taxi to the airport and she even allowed for my bill to be split into part cash and part credit card so that I didn't have to change any money back into dollars. I went swimming in the pool twice (the colored lights at night are nothing short of magic!) and enjoyed breakfast poolside--the best breakfast I have had in Morocco. The Riad is located on a deadend street which means very peaceful sleeping, but it's only a five minute walk from several different entrances to the Medina. I could not recommend this experience more highly. Booking directly through the website or by calling will save you more than 50% as opposed to going through a booking website such as ***********.

Il nostro soggiorno a Riad Adarissa ha superato le nostre aspettative in ogni modo. L'abbiamo scelto sulla base delle recensioni e della sua posizione in Medina. La proprietà stessa è un autentico vecchio mondo marocco e l'ospitalità è stata fuori di questo mondo. Hanno organizzato un pilota per incontrarci all’aeroporto che ci ha portati alle mura della Medina. Haddou, il nostro ospite a Riad, ci ha incontrati lì e ci ha aiutato a navigare le strade di vento fino all’immobile dove abbiamo incontrato Jean Claude il proprietario. La nostra camera degli ospiti era molto unica, niente come i molti hotel a catena che restiamo. Ma è esattamente quello che cercavamo...una autentica esperienza marocchina. Ciò che ha fatto davvero questo soggiorno eccezionale è il servizio. Ci siamo sentiti come ospiti a casa di Jean Claude e abbiamo avuto molte conversazioni con lui durante la cena. Non poteva essere più ospite. Haddou è una gioiello assoluto e ha fatto il nostro soggiorno uno che ricorderemo per sempre. Non c'era nulla che non avrebbe fatto per rendere il nostro soggiorno più piacevole. La moglie, Hanane, una cuoca addestrato, ha preparato il nostro pranzo tutte le quattro notti del nostro soggiorno. Il cibo era così delizioso e l'ospitalità così deliziosa decisi di godere di tutti i nostri pranzi a Riad. La nostra permanenza è finita con Haddou che ci ha portati fuori dalla Medina e ci ha assicurato che fossimo in taxi per la stazione ferroviaria. Nella mia esperienza di viaggio trovo che sono le persone che rendono un soggiorno memorabile e in questo caso inoltrabile.

Siamo stati 4 notti a Riad Drissia e siamo stati lieti di essere accoglienti e caldi. Khalid è stato un grande ostello, sempre disposto a aiutare (chi ordina un taxi o ci dà dei puntatori sulle attività intorno). Iniziammo ogni mattina a piedi destro con un bel e diverso colazione cucinata a casa. La posizione era ideale, poiché si trova a 5 minuti a piedi dalla porta blu, in una tranquilla strada laterale vicino alla principale via di busting. Ci sentivamo al sicuro in questa zona, anche tornando tardi alla notte. Molte opzioni di cibo e shopping intorno. La stanza era pulita, completamente attrezzata con TV, AC e WiFi. Nota leggera acida, il layout della strada è tale che la prova sonora è scarsa. La temperatura della doccia varia come la pressione dell'acqua.

Palais d'Hotes is a beautiful Riad (hotel with garden area and indoor pool) and lovely rooms (all suites) located in the Medina in Fes. We stayed for three nights. The staff were very service focused and ensured that we lacked nothing. A somewhat limited but good breakfast was served on a rooftop terrace, with eggs, breads, teas, and coffees all available. Guests order breakfast the night before, and it can be served in your room or on the terrace. On our last day, we departed before breakfast hours, and they packed us a to-go breakfast box. The Medina in Fes is very complex and easy to get lost in - the roads meander and cellphone GPS is not always reliable. The staff took great effort in ensuring that we did not get lost. One of the staff even walked with us to a restaurant we wanted to try in order to ensure that we knew the way. We really enjoyed our stay in Fes, and the Palais d'Hotes Suites was a very authentic experience. I would definitely stay here again.

The Riad itself is truly lovely & the public areas & rooms are just as pictured & very impressive in decoration. The owner obviously has a good eye for details which is evident throughout the property which is a visual masterpiece overall. Good housekeeping is found in the lobby/courtyard & rooms but was shockingly ignored on the rooftop terrace which was not just rundown but filthy. Old, rundown, rust-covered, dirty seating cushions laying on the floor. Furniture that had not been cleaned in months perhaps & trash laying on the floor. When we expressed our shock to the manager-on-duty who was unfailingly polite & courteous & eager to help, he claimed there had been rain 2 days prior which was the reason for the unsightly terrace condition, but what we experienced was weeks-to-months of inattention to housekeeping & detail. The furniture cushions did not become as dirty as we saw in only 2 days & the furniture condition spoke volumes about a lengthy lack of attention, as did the poor terrace housekeeping. Was also totally unimpressed by the quality of the bed linens but want to specifically compliment the owner on high-quality plumbing fixtures, which WORK without experiencing any unpleasant problems. Also one of the best breakfast offerings we experienced in 9 days in Morocco, with top quality service to match. Be forewarned that if you plan to eat dinner at Al Bartal you MUST make a reservation in advance. Even though there were only 4 occupied rooms during our stay & we asked at 4:00PM to make a dinner reservation for 7:30 that evening, we were told it was not possible. Yet we only saw 2 tables of 2 persons each actually eating during the evening. Strange. We strolled 5 minutes around the corner to the spectacularly beautiful Palais Faraj for dinner, which is a MUST visit when in Fes. Overall, we enjoyed Riad Al Batal which is definitely a lovely, beautifully decorated choice in Fes, but ”details” make a huge difference. Convenient location only 1/2 bock from 1 of the old Medina's entrance gates.

Da quando siamo arrivati, siamo stati trattati con il più alto rispetto e amicizia dal proprietario, Mohammed, e da tutta la famiglia e il personale. Riad era facile da trovare e molto ben posizionato nella medina. Il servizio del colazione sulla terrazza era eccellente. Mohammed è andato oltre e sopra la «chiamata di dovere» e ci ha dato un eccellente tour privato della medina. Non possiamo ringraziarlo abbastanza. La visita a Fès è stata lasciata con un senso di paura, divertenza, interesse e relax che si è concentrato intorno a Lala Zahra .
